Room was okay, but the walls are incredibly thin. The bathroom did not come body wash and the towels are really thin too. 1 of the 2 Elevators also broke 2nd day into our visit which was really frustrating so we were waiting more than 5 min each time. Overall, not horrible, but not great. You get what you pay for.

If you’re looking for pure convenience, you can’t beat this spot. ❌ The Downside: • Extremely outdated – The hotel is falling apart. • Elevator issues – One elevator was out of service (as reviews mentioned), leading to long wait times. • Safety hazard – A brick soap holder fell off in the shower, which could have caused serious injury. Thankfully, we were okay. • Poor management response – We emailed about the issue but didn’t get a response until after check-out. There was a great rooftop bar but it was unclear when it was open as the opening hours on the door didn't always match when it was actually open. However, the view of the Empire State Building from the rooftop bar was pretty special. When we were there one lift was not working for the week and so only one lift and it took absolutely ages and there was such a long queue to get in once the one lift did arrive. Sometimes you missed getting in because it was full. We were on the 14th floor so sometimes we just walked up the flights of stairs to get to our room and avoid the lift all together so I guess it helped with our fitness! The only real issue was that the hot water too SO long to get hot when you went to have a shower in the morning. An entire shower's worth of water would have to be run before the water got hot and I just felt like I was wasting so much water just to get a hot shower. Other than that, the location was brilliant, the staff were friendly and the beds were comfy and warm.

Like the location. Easily walkable to Penn station, 5th avenue New York Public Library, etc. Lots of dining options. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was not perfect but decent for the price. AC Heater was noisy, ended up turning it off. Some street noise at nigt from construction while I was there. People wise it was ok. Decent little gym down in the basement and surprise, surprise, every machine was in working order!

Quiet, CLEAN, housekeeping staff and front desk were wonderful! Rooftop bar was lovely with a great view of the Empire State Building! Great location close to the subway and walkable to Times Square, Broadway shows, etc.

Stayed on the 14th floor and because of the rooftop bar it was loud as people were leaving at midnight. The ice machine on the closest floor to us was not working and the front desk was not aware so we were sent there to get ice.

Great location in the heart of K-town and easy walk to Penn Station. However, the room wasn't great. The bathroom had only a hand held shower head and the towels were not clean - one of the towels hanging in the room was actually full of someone else's hair making us suspect the towels weren't changed. We also had trash from the last occupant of the room still there when we checked in.

Room was clean and housekeeping did a good job. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Great area for Korean food and excellent walking distance to Empire State Building and midtown area. Very easy to get Lyft or Uber from hotel. Very quiet room as it was located on the interior to other buildings, which means boring view but peaceful sleeping. Shower water pressure fluctuated and sometimes took a few minutes to get warm-hot water, likely due to busier time of day. Hallway had an odd smell, but wasn’t impacting the room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel at Fifth Ave. The rooms were impeccably clean. ALL the staff were so friendly! It felt like a home away from home. We loved stepping right out into all the action, everything we needed was close by, the subway was right there, shopping, food. Yet it was quiet in the hotel. The gym was simple yet just what we needed. We got a great price on the room. We would recommend it here to others and will be back!

Halfway through our stay (around 11:30 pm) my son told me he saw a cockroach in our room. We were in the family room so we searched around the pull-out couch and a cockroach came running out that I had to kill with a shoe. I went down to the front desk and we moved to a smaller room (no family rooms were available). The next day we didn't want to have to bring our luggage down for the day to take it back up so we opted to stay in the smaller room for the next night as well (since it was our last night). When I checked in with the front desk to see how they would make the situation right all they did was refund me the hotel service fees that I paid on the first night there of $114. So, their way of making up for a roach being in the room and us having to move late at night to a SMALLER room and then staying there so we didn't have to move our stuff all around was only $114 which is their fake hotel service fees they charge for staying there. Not impressed at all with their customer service. Hotel is basic to begin with and their customer service leaves this as an unrecommendable place to stay with your family.

This hotel was filthy; entrance, elevator (terrifyingly dirty), hallway, room carpet, personal hair from previous occupant an all bathroom fixtures. Desk draws kept sliding open in pathway from bed to bathroom. The only thing I will commend were the clean sheets. Carpet was so repulsive I used the bath towel at the bedside.

We stayed in the 12 floor and the room had a vibration sound at all time that did not allow us to sleep, like a motor running outside. The AC unit made a loud sound as well. The bathroom had mold stick to the corners and smelled bad, one of the towels they left for us had stains and was ripping. Additionally the carpets in the room and all over the hotel look dirty. The elevators were dirty and scrached all over the walls. I wont stay in this hotel again.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It has a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The furnishings were a bit dated but still nice. The reason I can't rate this higher had to do with a vomit stain we had on our bed in the room we booked. The staff was able to rebook us, albeit in a smaller room, which was nice but laying in that bed to smell the bile was a very unpleasant experience.

Room was clean. There were very few outlets available. No room for CPAP machines. Bathroom was very tight but shower was good and water stayed hot. Internet was lousy. Kept shutting down. This is the 21st century and good internet access should be reliable, not intermittent.

Great location! Paid extra for a Deluxe queen room but was given the smallest, terrible room! 2 small windows (one cracked with tape holding it together) Hotel was sold out. Had to upgrade to a Deluxe King bed room $25 USD a night. Again room was NOTHING like displayed in pics. Fridge request upon availability for a one time fee of $25. Wasn’t charged though due to upgrade paid. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Appears Queen beds back of building and Kings front. Attached pic is our original “Deluxe Room”

This place only has the location but mostly not a good place to stay. Many issues. Noisy, the AC unit makes the room either too cold or too hot and is very noisy while you try to sleep. Room is tiny. Coffee maker didn’t work and instead of replacing they wanted to look at it. There was a very dangerous step into the bathroom where we tripped several times. Ice machine only worked on night. Anyways I would find a better place. Location is ok. Close to Times Square.

I was very excited to stay at this hotel, but was extremely disappointed upon arrival. I booked a superior room with a king bed. The room we got was NOT what the pictures online showed. It was about half the size, with no window. No heat in the bathroom. Very run down. Disappointing for what I payed. The hallway smelled. The location of the hotel is great and the bed was very comfortable, but other than that, I was not a fan.

Property needs a major update. Elevators don’t feel safe. Staff did not speak great English- it was very loud at night - we were woken up several times- once early in the morning by staff being rude in the hallway right by our door. Bed was very uncomfortable

staff not very knowledgeable on any questions on the area. And disagreed us when we had an issue with a very loud a/c The reason I have a high score for staff was the doorman. I wish I could remember his name. Great customer service friendly and genuinely nice. And he was the one that came to our room and agreed it was loud and had them change our room. Amazing service from this guy.

The location of this hotel is absolutely top notch. It is close to everything you need. The subway and Penn station are just a few steps away and so is the Times Square and ESB. Korean restaurants are right there which is a big bonus as I don’t have to go anywhere far for food. The room is small but that’s fair given this is NY city. I was afraid of the elevator problem while reading other reviews before but during my stay, I usually didn’t have to wait for very long. There was just a small problem with the staff cleaning up my room and my shirt got dirty for unknown reasons. Anyway, the manager was attentive and handled the complaint well. I highly recommend this property as the location itself is worth the price already.

The location of this hotel in Manhattan is unbeatable—everything is within walking distance (10/10). However, be prepared for noise! We struggled to sleep on multiple nights, as the noise level was particularly intense on Friday and Saturday. If you plan to stay over the weekend, either join the nightlife or bring earplugs. During the weekdays, it’s somewhat more manageable. On top of that, the furnishings are noticeably outdated. While the hotel has a fantastic location, it would greatly benefit from some soundproofing and a few upgrades.

The hotel is in a great location! Just a few minutes walk to the Herald Square subway and Macy's. This is in Koreatown so lots of little shops and places to get food. The exterior and lobby is very nice but rooms were a little outdated. It was clean and comfortable for our family of 5 and we'd stay there again. The staff was very attentive and even helped us store our luggage and reserve a car to the airport.
