Customer service was excellent. Everyone was polite and professional. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave and 2 closets, that’s rare in NYC. They could do some more dusting and put a fan in the bathroom to vent after a shower. And thicker blankets would be nice during the winter. Overall a good stay. The location was perfect and loved that there was a gym downstairs.

One of two elevators was out of order - but didn’t present that much of a problem - they are pretty fast, so only a slightly shorter wait sometimes. A closer place to buy water and snacks etc might be nice…but not a big deal. Construction of a huge new building on the corner requires walking thru tunnels…again, not that big a deal.

Excellent location, safe and clean. Quirky old building with charm and history. Odd that they have coffee makers in every room but don’t provide any coffee ‘because every room has a different maker’. Also the restaurant was closed for renovations so no food options available on site. Otherwise, excellent stay.

Hotel was clean but there was only 1 plug and it was occupied with lamp and clock. No vending machines or place to get a soda. When i asked front desk they told me to walk down 3 blocks to Duane Reed...it was pouring rain.

We liked everything - the quirkiness of the room with a wall of book shelves and books, a giant mirror leaning against the sall; didn’t mind that we had to call when the hot water didn’t come up, we liked the hotel very much. What we didn’t like was when we checked out, were told that as we had prepaid, we could just go. Days later, we were charged $57, calling the hotel, I was told that there was a facilities charge of $25 per day, pus tax.

Excellent location near subways and Central Park. We chose the hotel both for location and availability of a suite. Perfect for traveling with our teenage niece. Bathroom was separate from the main bedroom which made it easy for sharing. Great views from the 20th floor. Fitness room good quality for a hotel.

Room rundown. Cleaning was poorly done with used towels and hot water. No disinfectant or proper sponge/wipe. Bottled water was only left at entrance and never again replaced. Both TV could be turned on but did not change channels. Needs upgrading and training cleaning staff. There is no ramp from the street to reception.. at least 6 steps, complicated with suitcases.

We loved the location, and also the room we chose had two double queens and a separate large living room area and kitchen. The space was amazing! Our only concerns were the bathroom had some cleanliness issues, and the sink drain was VERY slow. The staff was very curious and helpful, and we really enjoyed the 100 year old building! This was great for a family of four, and they even brought a roll away bed for us. We would stay here again!

Well, our room was outdated. We found her a roach and mouse droppings in the kitchen. The room was old and dingy. The bed was stiff. The sheets were like paper the air conditioning smelt. It was just really outdated for the price and the photos on the website was not the room that I received. There were burn marks on the carpet awful run. Do not stay there Especially for the price. It was like $500.

Service was good and location is fantastic---close enough to Central Park that I did two runs in the mornings. The (standard) room was big enough and well equipped, including microwave, plates and cutleries. The TV was on the small side, but adequate. One small concern is the close proximity of the bed to the periodically activated (and audible) air-con by the window, which blew cold air directly at me that disrupted my sleep the first night. In subsequent nights, I slept at the furthest edge of the queen-sized bed, which alleviated the problem to some extent.

Spacious rooms. Great work space, working Wi-Fi, and enough storage. Good staff and service. Very good option for a longer stay and if you need extra space. Nice kitchenette for a quick meal. Would consider staying at Lombardy again.

I understand that your paying for location more than anything but the least they can do when they charge as much as they do is invest in the property. This place hasnt been updated since the 80s it seems. Everything about it was shabby, the bathroom, the bed the old carpet, the weird tv everything just smacks of cheap but prices were anything but cheap and they have the audacity to charge a hidden $28 a night resort fee on top of their exorbitant rate. Wouldnt stay here again unless it was a fraction of the price

Two things: First: Our Room (7th Floor) was very loud, the noise came from three sources: a) air conditioners outside. The noise alone was definitely too loud to sleep. b) The Elevator Right next to our room. c) Air Conditioners or washing machine inside, somewhere down the hall. Asked immediately for a room change, this request was immediately denied. So, guess, this is what they mean by „city that never sleeps“. No fun at all. Second: The room was unadorned, looked more like a storage room with a bed, tv and sofa. The wooden floor fell apart.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Lombardy. Pleasant staff, spacious, well-appointed room, renovated bathroom, attentive housekeeping. Well located for family event I attended 13 blocks away. In a bit of a food desert (relative to other Manhattan neighborhoods)--but I walked to 2nd Ave to find what I needed. Window onto airshaft, but good black-out shade helped me feel in a comfy cocoon. Would stay there again.

The Lombardy is a wonderful hotel in a very central, but quiet (for New York) location. We stayed in room 902 which was suite with a very comfortable bed and sleeping area + room with sofa bed, small table and kitchen table. Kitchen itself was very nice. It was not adequately equipped at first with regard to plates/silverware, but the matter was immediately addressed when we spoke with front desk. All the staff was professional and courteous-and I will particularly note Gordon and Daniel at front desk - among the above.

Rooms were roomy, but far from a four star hotel. We had a two bedroom two bath couldn’t get out to use the balcony because the door was broken. We had a two bathroom had a broken toilet never fixed while we were there. I informed the staff and the staff shrugged it off. Otherwise, the day was satisfactory.

There is a doorman at the front door but couldn’t figure out what his function was other than to watch you struggle with your suitcase going down the stairs. Front desk staff was efficient in checking you in and out. Place is kept clean.

This is our third year staying at the Lombardy, and we love it each time! The staff is incredibly courteous and welcoming, and helps us with any questions and needs. The suites are large and comfortable; it’s like you’re staying in an apartment! We love the Lombardy and look forward to going back again next year!

Everything about the Lombardy itself was joyful. The only possible negative was construction down the block on 56th, but that is certainly not within their control and was in no way more than a minor detraction from an otherwise splendid experience.

We had a fabulous stay at the Lombardy! Our room was actually spacious and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. The location couldn’t be beat. It’s just off Park Ave, close to Central Park and an easy walk to the subway. We will definitely stay here again!

It started with being told I had to park my own car. The bed was terrible crooked uncomfortable and I couldn’t sleep. The hotel does not offer coffee in any way nor is there a coffee maker. The heater was either too hot or too cold.
