It was overall GREAT until 2 issues: (1) AC stopped working 2nd to last night so both of our last nights were miserable. We had to call to get it fixed at 3am. Why does an engineer have to come to our room when they control it from somewhere else? Are you trying to save money? It was horrible roasting in the room that wouldn't go below 72 degrees!! (2) your front desk did not tell maids we had a late checkout. We paid $30 to sleep until we had to leave at 2pm because of the AC debacle that ruined our last day in the city. Then, the maid comes with an annoying tap with a key card at 12:30pm to ask why we are still in the room. We were sleeping (FINALLY) and then she woke us with the tapping and we couldn't get back to sleep. We paid $30 extra to be frustrated and tired. We have 2 rooms booked for Pride week and I will be canceling both due to these issues. Other than that, everyone was polite, friendly, food/atmosphere at Tao was good, rooms were perfectly laid out for the size, great bedding. Annoying to have to call for ice, but whatever. Unfortunatel, the two earlier issues are absolute deal breakers and we will cancel that e I ght thou sand bucks worth of business because of them. Bummer.

I’ve stayed in NY many times and I cannot think of a place that’s a better value for service, cleanliness, location, etc. Highly recommend the Maritime - perfect for solo work travel which is what I was there for :)
