Best Western Mill River Manor

The swimming pool was not opened it was still early; the receptionist told us that they close the pool at 6pm there was still plenty daylight. This is not acceptable, my kids wanted to use it.

This was a full breakfast of freshly cooked omelette, pancakes, muffins and other healthy items. The parking was good, many extra parking spots. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were very good. I would come back.

Super convenient from the LIRR station. Lots of dining options. WiFi was down for 2 days! That’s my only complaint.

Parking was tight. All in all it was ok .

The room next door was having a party. We got in at 2AM, we called nothing. Then we called again no answer went down to the office and no one was there. I finally at 5 AM and told them myself to stop or I call the police. Gym equipment broken washer and dryer was broken too

Television hasn’t worked once , I don’t watch television much but I like to watch the news daily. Laundry facilities are outdated and I washed in the sink by hand . Otherwise room was cleaned daily, warm and accessible to all traveling.

Terrible stay. No office staff at desk. Called 10x than went down and stood at desk for 45 mins. Called incessantly until staff came to desk from back room. Not enough towels or pillows. No one answers phone and unable to communicate with majority of staff as no non-English speaking. Pool was not clean.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was terrific. Only one elevator was working and we were on the 5th floor, and the one working elevator seemed to need some maintenance. Otherwise, it was a perfectly lovely, clean and comfortable stay.

The place seems that there is no sufficient maintenance. Gym is advertised but equipment does not work. Rooms are noisy and the smell of pot is incredibly strong as it is very common to find people smoking on the stairs. Towels even when changed are not always clean. Location is great as train station is close, there is a CVS, supermarket and many options to dine out.

It is well maintained. The rooms are very clean and the lobby is impressive. I do security for hotels so I know where to look to see if things are really clean. Great job!

The property was extremely clean and has all the amenities inside the hotel room , the staff were very friendly and helpful . Definitely will be going back regularly

Bad stay. Advertised as a hotel more like a motel (but because it’s 5 floors they can define as a hotel). Reception staff were rude, tried to shorten the station the first day and get refunded for the last night. At first it was possible but was told I had to get hotels.com involved, which I did and the receptionist hung up on hotels.com. Would not recommend as there is a highway on the left and railway on the right. Do not book your stay there. Way better hotels around. Bathroom was dirty and one of the rooms had a strong cigarette odour.

The toilet bowl was not properly cleaned The towels needed to be replaced I’m in doubt if the rooms and surfaces were properly cleaned

Mold on the sheets! Leak off the tub, pillows super uncomfortable…This place needs to renovate and upgrade specially for the price per night!

We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was really good. I would have given a better rate but we woke up at middle of the night with very itchy bedbugs bites. I have six bites in my arms and legs. My 11 and 4 years old were bitten too. Very unfortunate. I think this should be addressed as soon as possible. Room number 590

Check in time was 4pm and I did not get to the hotel until after 9pm. The room had some food particles along with others on the floor. The sheets and pillow cases were visibly stained or might not have been washed properly, there was hair in the bathroom sink, the toilet could do with a little cleaning, and I was given a room with handicap bathroom which I don’t remember booking for. The check in staff was kind enough to have someone changed the bed linens, which the staff did graciously and encouraged me to speak with the manager/director in the morning. I was a bit taken aback with the attitude of the staff who was at the front desk. She was confrontational and abrasive, stating she was going to check the camera, seeming to imply I was lying. which I did not care

Well room was clean it was dated but again clean bed was comfortable but room was small.i am 6feet 5 inches and the bathroom ceiling was low. Standing in the shower my head was almost touched the ceiling. Lots of places around the area to eat. Also had trouble using the key card. Overall it was pleasant amd staff was polite. This is my second thime staying here and chances are i will stay here again.

This place is impossible to sleep! Extremely noisy all day/night long. If you want to take rest do not go their!!! Airport, highway, boulevard are near by so I let you imagine how noisy it is!!!!! The rest is fine, the room is clean and breakfast was good. The only - is That I found the hotel old. Need a refresh.

The room was outdated, small. Bath tub very small, toilet low to the ground, low water pressure in the shower at a fairly ridiculous price of over $200 a night I paid for two nights, only stayed for one.

Room was great, beds were super comfortable. Loved having a mini fridge and microwave. Only downside: Water in the shower was a little wonky - temp fluctuates intermittently from ice cold to scalding hot for no apparent reason. Breakfast was included, but we overslept and didn’t get to check it out. Location is great - super close to the family we were visiting. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The Tv didn’t work all the time

Rooms need updates and bathrooms shower ceiling in bad shape. Shower had no water pressure. Hard beds.

No smart TV

Checking in with Linda, she provided excellent information on the local area for our group of upstaters. We had several family members staying at this location and she grouped our rooms together on the same floor. Her friendly demeanor made us feel welcome after a long trip. This spot is convenient to restaurants around Rockville Centre as well.

Staff was stiff and unwilling to help with anything.

Wonderful staff at front desk. Clean and comfy rooms. I’d recommend hotel and I will return here again.

Room was clean and large. Staff is pleasant and accomodating. Linda, at the front office, was caring and professional and is definitely an asset to this hotel!

Complete disaster customer service

This review is not about the property but about my experience. When I checked in after a long cross country flight, I was told that they could not find the reservation for one of the two rooms I booked (the one under my name). After calling and calling the booking agency I was able to get through and get the reservation number. As it turns out someone with the same name as I was banned from the property and the hotel put it upon themselves to cancel my reservation without verifying if it was the correct person. When they finally rebooked me they charged an higher rate and made no effort to fix it that day. On the day of check out I asked again about fixing it and a nice lady at the front desk (Anna) tried but could not do it and as of writing this I am still awaiting for the supervisor to correct it and email me a receipt.

I like the receptionist Linda is always so pleasant always has a smile and always so friendly. Anna, who is there on the weekends is wonderful too always so pleasant.

I had to run the hot water in both the shower and sink for about 20 minutes before it got warm. The water was never hot, just warm. The phone in the room was not working and when I went to the front desk to inform them of the cold water and the phone not working. I was told by Ana that there were about 7 other rooms who did not have working phones. I said to Ana if there was an emergency and I needed to use the room phone to call for help, I would not be able to do so because the phone is not working. Ana in return asked me, “where is your cell phone, do you have a cell phone?” I responded and said in the event I could not get to my cell phone, the room phone should be working. When I said this Ana, smirked at me and said, use your cell phone. I asked Ana if I were someone else would she have responded to me the way she did. Ana did not respond to my questions and I expressed that I would contact the corporate office. Ana was not sensitive to my concerns and she was not empathetic to my feelings, nor did she offer to put me in another room. This was the worse experience I have ever experienced while staying at a hotel. The best solution to the problem Best Western offered was to make me a points member. That would not work for me as I do not travel often. I was not offered a partial/full refund. However, since my voice of concerns were not heard, I will have my brother who is a National blogger, write in his blogs about my negative experience with Best Western.

I like it was close to bar , restaurant and the train to the city I didn’t like random people hanging around the parking lot at night ( they were not customers)

It is a convenient place to stay in RVC, you can walk to all restaurants and activities in the area.

Good location out of Manhattan area. 35min train ride to Penn Station. Lots of restaurants in walking distance.

This is a very dated property in an inconvenient location. The downtown area looks very poor and just walking the streets is unsafe for older folks like us.

Great facility, clean and great breakfast varieties! I had a problem with size of the beds not sure it’s a queen size bed.

The breakfast quality was terrible, the wedges were half cooked.turkey patties were so hard like a rubber

Road hard...typical old fashioned motel on a highway. Really could use an update. Breakfast was completely processed foods including Nescafe instant coffee. Room was very clean, staff was nice--the saving grace for a very expensive motel stay.

We’ve stayed here occasionally over the year. On this visit our room appeared to have been recently redone. The breakfast facility and offerings were excellent.

Breakfast was a nice variety of food selection...BUT Not a fan of turkey sausage at all and that was all they served on the weekend, my stay was from Saturday to Wednesday, finally had nicely cook bacon... hurray!

On the third floor pigeons are living under the drink machines. Lots pigeons hanging out there. Breakfast was disappointing since the toaster wouldn't toast anything. Bathroom toilets are petite.
