Tarrytown House Estate

Parking near our building was an issue. Not enough spots. Room doors slamming shut noisy between midnight and 2 am kept me awake.

The room was an older room but clean. Some staff that I interacted with were nice. However the front desk staff didn’t even mention there was breakfast that I could have ordered to my room. When I went in I was asked if I had stayed there in the past and I was shown a confusing map and that was it. I wasn’t even asked how my stay was when I checked out. Being there for the first time I was confused about where things were and didn’t feel like going back to the front desk to ask.

The property is beautifully manicured. The buildings are old. One of the buildings is built into a hill so the rooms are on multiple levels without elevators. If you have lots of luggage or strollers and childcare paraphernalia that could be a problem. The parking lots are down a steep hill, so that’s a hike. Lastly, the bed was very uncomfortable. I felt the wire coils in my back all night. I would not go back.
