The room did not have a comfortable chair to sit on, even though there was plenty of room to accommodate one. The dining was extremely limited. The pool was a little cloudy, but very nice.

The hotel is located right off RT 20, which has semi-trucks going all day and night. In addition to that you have train tracks about a 1/4 mile behind the hotel that have trains either passing through to the station going to Bellevue or into Whirlpool. If you are a light sleeper, this can be hard to adjust to during the night. Fast food is about all you can eat for food around there unless you want to drive to Fremont or Sandusky (2 of the closer big cities). The pool is a nice size, but kids kind of take over with parents not paying attention or outside smoking and not watching the kids. The bottom of the pool is "black" with either removed paint or mold, it has lots of chlorine, but the pool looks kind of gross. There is a gym but at one point a gentleman was run out by a group of teens overtaking the small room playing around. There was not any workers around to handle the situation. Again, the parents were outside smoking instead of watching the kids - of course they likely would not have done anything. The rooms are nice. The beds were clean and comfortable. Showers/bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and wash clothes for the entire family. Watch when turning on the TV as the volume is set to high, you will need to immediately turn it down to not scare yourself. LOL.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the common areas seemed updated and clean. However, the room was in desperate need of renovation, and the bathroom might be the worst I've ever seen. The room's ceiling had old water damage, the floors were dirty, and the bathroom ceiling was covered in mildew. There was black mold in crevasses in the bathroom, as well as dirty tile grout and pubic hairs on the floor. Also, the bedspread was as thick as a sheet -- I'm not kidding, I froze all night. While the people were welcoming and friendly, I would not recommend this hotel until they invest in additional updates to the rooms.

We were on a cross country road trip and this was the option available to us at the time we needed overnight accommodation. This is an older style hotel with basic rooms but everything was clean. Walls are on the thin side as we could hear the TV from the room next to us. Could also hear when they were using the toilet 😩.

Generally, a fine room. Some negative aspects were a constantly draining/filling toilet, a rather “antiseptic” bathroom, and a window that leaked during a thunderstorm. Other than that, a fine breakfast and a fine hotel.

Room was fine and clean. Good selection for breakfast. Walls were very thin. Hotel allows pets, so many dogs barking at times. You could hear entire conversations from neighboring rooms. Air conditioning very loud.

Asked for 3rd floor was told could not move peoples rooms around. Since when do you pick a certain room when booking, its usally first come first serve. I was there at 3pm so i was the first to check in the hotel that day. Second bed was very hard like sleeping on a concrete slab. The tv did not work, the air kept shutting off. It was 95 Saturday we were out riding motorcycle all day came back to the room and it was just as hot because our air had turned off. Only giving two towels one little bar of soap and one little bottle of shampoo for two people to take two showers a day for two days. When i asjed why my room wasn't cleaned while we were out Saturday was told house keeper called off. Asked for towels was told thier laundry was down could not give out extra towles. Soy wife and i used the same two bath towels and washcloths four times each. I will never stay here agian. The breakfast area had a bunch of people in it that acted like they belonged in the zoo and never seen a free breakfast before.

The condition of the room was awful. The bathroom had broken tiles in several places, plus the bathtub drain area was scratched down to the material of which the tub was made. The a/c was very noisy, awakening me during the night, making a loud moaning noise as it shut off. The room was dim and worn. I made my reservation based on the hundreds of positive reviews for the hotel. Either someone is stuffing the hotel's reviews to artificially elevate their rating or it has gone severly downhill fast.

The staff was helpful and courteous, the pool was warm, the breakfast was fair - had better, but also had worse. The room was sufficient - neither excellent nor poor. All sort of what you would expect from a Red Roof Inn in a farming area of Ohio.

We had my son's 12th birthday at the hotel so he could swim with his friends. The front desk never complained about them being kids (loud) they offered milk with thier cookies! We will def be doing it again!

Easy access to wherever you need to go in Sandusky or Erie county. I super appreciated Dawn's friendliness and conversation during check in as we had just come from a terrible stay at a different hotel in PA the previous night. Facilities are more than adequate for the pricing and breakfast was no more or no less than what was needed to get us going for the rest of trip in the morning. Will def be back when I need to stay in the area.

was in room 315 and the headboard on the bed fell off. was going to be moved to a different room but then was told that there was already a reservation for that room and that was the last room they had available. so i was told there would be no charge for the room it would be free if we just stayed in the room and was still charged for the room. messaged the hotel and never receive a response.

Checked in late and tired and the front desk staff didn’t seem too welcoming. The room door was propped open. They gave me a room that I found out from morning staff that they had maintenance fix the toilet the day before that wasn’t fixed - it was clogged. There were no towels or toiletries and beds weren’t neat. The shower had black gunk around the handrail base and property is worn and in need of renovation. Carpet out in the hall looked dirty and gross - not the clean review I read about - I regretted driving 30 minutes from Cedar Point and would have gladly paid more for a place that was at least closer for this quality. I peaked at pool and the floor looked either dirty or stained. The morning front desk staff seemed more friendly and accommodating. Hardly anything around. I don’t recommend this property unless absolutely necessary.

The property is about 10 miles off of I-80 and in a rural area. The highway in front of the hotel is fairly busy during the day but not obtrusive at night. There are several fast food restaurants nearby in Clyde as well as gas stations. The property itself is a little tired but pretty clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice enough. We liked the room set up. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Some room items were in disrepair. One of the comforters had dried food on it. The 3rd floor ice machine was not working. The breakfast food is not good. It would also be nice to have decaf available.
