Country Hearth Inn & Suites Kenton

I was disappointed the indoor pool was out of order. The desk clerk seem to infer that its normal to be out of order.... shouldn't advertise an amenity and not have it. Having a pool helped decide my decision to book this hotel about a year in advance.

The desk staff was wonderful. Cheyenne was very pleasant, professional, helpful, and courteous through all questions or requests for assistance. Great worker. My only complaint is the lack of a hot tub/whirlpool in the pool area.

Advertised with a pool but told it was closed. The pool was drained and did not look like it was under repair. Breakfast was small muffins and bagels only. Set up for waffles but there was no batter.

Ice machine broken, pool broken, some doors broken. Should close soon.

Only booked this hotel for the indoor pool that even tho was full of water and looked perfect and clean pool was closed for repairs. Would have never booked here if that would have been known beforehand. Lady at counter was very unhelpful!

Staff was courteous & as helpful as possible with many of my issues maintenance related. I reserved rooms at this property for the indoor pool which apparently has been out of service for quite some time due to a pump issue so, not great from start. I honestly did not want to stay with that discovery when checking in but, it would have been a late cancel so I would have been charged regardless. Rooms were quite smaller than pictures indicated and not cleaned well. Dust throughout carpet corners and found body spray on floor from previous guest. It was next to impossible to get into our room with keycard. Had to ask for new keys half dozen times and still took 5 minutes to get lock to engage 75% of the time, beyond annoying. The outer doors of the building required the keycard also but some supposed issue caused those to not work either meaning everytime went outside, had to walk around to front door then back down to rooms each time. Paying nearly $400 for 2 rooms/2 nights, roughly a third my monthly morgage, I expect more. I have to switch rooms to have a quarter of what any customer should get without question. Like i said, I did NOT want to check in but, who can afford to be charged for late cancel AND getting the rooms they still need? I would prefer a refund for my complete stay but, at minimum, I will NEVER stay at this property again. It was dirty, unkempt, falling apart, falsely advertised (amenities/rooms/pictures). Worst I've seen on Hotels.com to date. DISAPPOINTED

The minute we stepped in, there was a strong tobacco odor. We made reservations well ahead of our stay and we were put on the 2 nd floor and they had no elevator. It was difficult for this 88 yr old to navigate the steps.

Unfortunately a beautiful pool but was shut down waiting for inspections. Door to outside broke, ice machine broke but did give you a baggie of ice on request.

We didn't stay. I only booked this hotel because it had an indoor pool. I'm disabled, and have many back & neck issues. The ad doesn't say that their pool is closed. The clerk didn't say anything about the pool being closed when we checked in. We struggled to carry all our stuff up to the 2nd floor (no elevator) then changed into our bathing suits. went to the pool to find a closed sign on it. The desk clerk came out & said it was closed because it needed chemicals & because of the weather. We asked Why because of the weather? She said the roof leaks & they don't open it when it rains. We looked and the entire pool had drops of rain coming in.

Terrible!!! I’m fine with it not being updated, but not dirty!! It was disgusting.. ripped, stained carpet. Base board peeling off wall with mold all around it, no shower curtain! Missing exhaust fan, just a hole in the ceiling. Stained tub/shower, holes in the curtains and walls. We reserved to stay after a wedding, checked out instead no way I was sleeping in that bed, went 30 minutes to a Marysville hotel. The front desk lady did refund me in full after seemingly not surprised when she asked why we were leaving, “was there something wrong with the room”.. my response, “everything was wrong with the room!” It’s a shame that it’s in the shape it is being one of the only options in the area, happy to spend on small local business but not this one. do not book!!!

Old and dated and severely uncleaned. Previous Guest Hair in the shower drain and along the shower walls. I feared of bed bugs by taking one look. Probably was none, but that didn’t help when I couldn’t fall sleep. I would avoid this hotel.

Room had not been cleaned thoroughly. No tissues in the tissue box. Half a roll of toilet paper was all that was in the room. Bathtub faucet was dripping and there was a razor blade laying on the sink.

Trash left in room by previous guests…wonder if they even cleaned the room. We placed the trash outside.

It seems to be an older facility with old furniture and carpet. It appears scruffy but it isn’t. The room and bathroom was clean and get cleaned every day. The carpet should be renewed then it would look and smell even better. Would stay there again.

The hotel was dirty. The sink in the room wouldn’t drain. Turned the shower on and got a blast of brown water shoot out. The toilet would almost overflow every time it was flushed. The room looked like it hadn’t been swept in a long time.

Rugs were soiled - bed cover was stained - paint peeling - bathroom and sink area was nice and clean

Unfortunately, this is the only hotel in Kenton. Mold on the bathroom ceiling from a water leak upstairs, bathtub faucet would not turn off, carpet what threadbare in places and filthy, vanity light did not work.

The door to our room did not close properly, there was food in the refrigerator from a prior guest, the pillows were dirty. We did not stay, we ended up driving to another hotel and staying there.

Perfectly serviceable inn with friendly desk help who changed our room assignment upon request to a first floor room--much appreciated. This is an older motel but reasonably well kept. Has an indoor pool which was closed when we arrived. Good wifi, fridge & microwave in room, comfortable beds. Everything worked. Good value IMHO and we'd stay here again.

When we arrived kids were really enjoying the pool. The front desk clerk was new, couldn’t find our reservation, even though I showed it to her on my phone. Was told we took the last room, rate was 2x what was quoted on Expedia. Room was ok, light was unplugged so had to move the dresser to plug it in, found trash behind it. Bed was comfortable, heat & air conditioning worked. Property is old & not well maintained. PS no elevator for 87 yr old Mother.

What I liked was that the staff were friendly and accommodating. It all went downhill after that. The hallway smelled of smoke despite this being a non-smoking environment. The baseboard/trim in the bathroom was badly separated from the wall leaving a bit of a chasm behind the toilet next to the tub. The tub itself had long hairs in it, was all knocked up and discolored, and the shower head was not adjustable; you couldn’t tilt or turn it to better cover you with the spray. I will give it a five for great hot water however! Whomever had the room next to mine decided to stay up and watch tv all night. It wasn’t that the volume was loud, it was a problem of a poorly sealed connecting door between our rooms and the paper thin walls. He probably heard every time I cleared my throat. I certainly heard his attempts. Breakfast was the last straw. No eggs or any other hot food. There was a double waffle iron but no batter, the temperature settings were in Celsius, but there was a conversion chart. There were no instructions as to how long to heat the non-existent batter nor to what temperature to set the dial. I did manage to find the hot water and had to settle for a bowl of plain instant oatmeal to get anything with some warmth beyond the coffee. The one remaining donut was hard as the proverbial rock. I wonder how many weeks it had been there. Thankfully, there’s a McDonalds nearby. I almost forgot, the tv remote batteries dead.

While checking in it took an extremely long time to check in. The room was dark, we bought a bulb for a lamp and the lamp had a short. The bath tub was to smooth and needed something for standing safely then getting out of the tub there was no grab bar for assistance. I didn't like the handicapped room that I asked for last year with no place to put the morning items needed for dressing and I didn't request it do to that last year. The breakfast was slim. Seems no one thinks about those who cannot have sugar. There are a lot of diabetics today and a noncoated cereal would be welcome. The hotel was comfortable for sleeping it was quiet. Thank you.

Its an older property but comfortable. Enjoyed staying a month to visit family and friends. Felt safe and taken care of the whole time

I’ve stayed in this hotel multiple times for baseball tournaments. The quality has improved drastically. The staff is always super helpful and very friendly.

The staff was amazing. Very polite, happy and helpful. The hotel was clean, smelled amazing and accommodated our needs. Would stay again.

Lady working desk was beyond rude. Cursed at me. Got loud with me. Apparently her 2nd night working also. Ended up leaving a night early and lost out on money because of the disrespect.

Description indicated fitnessroom but that was closed. There was an anytime fitness a few blocks away you could borrow a fob for but thats not convenient. Pool was closed. Provided breakfast was pretty much breads. Description should have indicated continental breakfast. The path to where the breakfast was was extra dark. Might have been a single burnt out light bulb but still sketchy. Security door next to us that was supposed to be exit only wouldnt close all the way. Not totally sure if it was latched or not but it didnt give as warm and fuzzies. We did go for a walk around the area and felt safe.

Convenient to restaurants

Hreat people, pool looked great, but, didnt get to use it as i just wanted to go to sleep. Quiet area as well.

Stayed here for a funeral in Kenton. This is probably your best option in the city although it’s an average hotel.

Average hotel with a huge mowed field in the back to air out dogs. Dining is close by.

The staff was nice and helpful especially the housekeeping. The pool needed maintenance and was disappointing that it was not available this time. Sometimes the breakfast is not refilled. Overall the location is great for my family visits.

No maintenance or upkeep has been done on this property in years but it is sadly the best option in town. Staff are kind and friendly.

I really liked the property but need to fix the commode in room 104 where we stayed. Also start checking the remotes for the TV's. Ours wouldn't work until we bought batteries and changed them then worked great. The continental breakfast was okay but some people can't drink a consistent apple juice and I had a problem with my bowels when I traveled home. I have written before about the cereal and those with sugar coating aren't good choices for those with diabetes so one with sugar coating and one without are good choices. We have made reservations for October already to stay in the same room. Thank you.

New management had just taken over 3 days prior to our stay. Advertised online as double queen beds, they were full beds. The pillows were more like couch throw pillows. We asked for more pillows and she kindly obliged. Breakfast was not what I expected. Som bagels, some bread, packaged oatmeal. When asked about suggestions, we advised of some eggs and sausage or bacon in some form. It is a nice quiet clean hotel. I feel like it was ok for the price point. I would have been more than willing to pay a bit more money for a bit more accommodations. The pool was nice, the kids enjoyed it. It was clean and well kept. The hotel is clean and well kept, just showing its age and lack of updates. I feel that the new management actually cares and given the resources, could be a great property. They are friendly and responsive. Quick to exceed any request.

Night Staff was great. Room was “adequate”. I guess it’s what you could expect for the price. Breakfast was sparse. There were 3 bagels and 2 pieces of bread. We asked for jelly and yogurt. We were told there wasn’t any. A few minutes later the front desk staff found both. To be clear, she was not busy with other guests. This was at 7am.
