Quality Inn Port Clinton Waterfront

The coffee is amazing, it's part of the reason we went back. The view from the deck by the lake and the pool is beautiful. The shower in our room drained so slow as did the bathroom sink. Things to know- They are listed as cash accepted on the listing but they do not accept cash on premises. There is also a $100 refundable incidental fee that was not included in what we paid last year. Overall we like the place but there are some things that could be fixed and updated.

The property was beautiful and the staff were great. Overall the rooms and inside of the property were in desperate need for an update. There were cracks in the sink and the tub and there was only 1 ice machine.

Parking lot small. Poor girl was running back and forth from neighboring hotel managing both front desks

The only downfall was the timing of when the pool was cleaned, and how the chairs still had spider webs connected to the tables and chairs

The whirlpool tub had some mildew spots that made it look unclean but overall we had a good stay the pool and deck area are nice and on the lake, beautiful view.

94 degrees and the pool was not filled and filthy. I specifically booked a room with a pool because I knew it would be hot! Could not use the pool because it was not usable. The area around building had June bugs piled all along building at least 2" high and it stunk to high heaven! The room was clean but it smelled of cigarette smoke. We moved to another room and it smelled of cigarette smoke also! The staff was nice but the building conditions were horrific.

Upon arrival we noticed the building covered with Mayflies, trash cans overflowing, we got our room it was clean and tidy low water pressure and toilet seat was broken, we went out to the pool area the chairs were and surrounding areas ( fences,tables,etc) had spider webs full of mayflies,also i guess someone had a party, there were pizza boxes, beer bottles and trash all over overall it was a decent stay just needs a good weekly cleaning on the outside and maybe some fresh paint

This place was filthy, they were bugs in the Bathroom, the linens were dirty. I booked the room for four people, and there was only one towel in the bathroom. I had to go and ask for More. The pool was disgusting, I tried to clean it, but eventually, we didn’t get in the door from the pool to the hotel was locked and broken. They don’t care as they only had a sign to call. The outdoor area was dirty, windows, dirty, everything was dirty. I wish the reviews were honest before I booked here. Everyone else staying there share the same experience.

This hotel is older, but perfectly fine!! It has an awesome lakefront patio and pool. The place is reasonably priced, clean, and safe. And they have a decent breakfast included .

No elevators. Walked into the room and smelled like smoke horribly. The pool was dirty. The ice machine next to the pool was broken. Our window leaked in rain and we had to put a towel in front of it. The hottub seemed a bit dirty. All the grout in the tub seemed gross. When we told the gentleman at checkout, he said sorry about that. Made no attempt to make the situation right. We paid $250 for this room and now that ive seen it, i wouldnt even pay $0.25.

Thankful that we just stayed one night! Passing through Port Clinton on a Friday night for 180.00! The property needs some serious updating. Our “non-smoking” room smelled of old cigarettes, bathtub had significant visible mold and our carpeting was damp.

I only stayed there over night. My room was filled with small ants. I told the person behind the desk when I checked out and he just shrugged his shoulders. It seemed like he didn’t care. So why should I care about going back there again!

Got to our room it had bed bugs and the person at the front desk refused to call the manager, even after we caught one and brought it to the desk.

The room was not very clean. There was much snackage and cracker cookie crumbs behind the headboard of the bed. Corners dirty, Hot tub dirty. The parking was safe and fine the airconditioning was fine.

Reservation was for 2 adjoining rooms. Adjoining rooms were not available upon check-in. Got rooms that were at least next to each other. Whirlpool tub was not working in one of the rooms. Very disappointing after a long day of walking at Cedar Point. Front desk attendant did not express any concern about the tub just a "sorry" like it was a common complaint. The rooms appeared surface clean but cobwebs behind bedside tables and in corners etc. The hallways/common area carpets were in desperate need of a vacuum. Liked the deck and pool area overlooking the lake, the breakfast was just OK.

Did not stay because of bed bugs

Carpet inside needs cleaning or replacing. Also 1st floor windows and sills were filthy and carpet looked like hadn’t been vacuumed in a week. Overall place needs to be taken care of.

We have stayed here 3 times now and always loved this place! This 2 day trip changed that! Room wasn’t vacuumed, hair dryer didn’t work, roach in room, microwave didn’t work, no shelf in fridge that should have had one, complained to front desk and was told sorry nothing we can do! Will never go to this hotel again! I could have been ok with the inconvenient things if they would have done ANYTHING to make it right! They barely wanted to say sorry. Awful customer service

Staff very friendly. Coffee machine out of order. Breakfast was awful. Carpets in room were stained and filthy. My husband's socks were black from walking on the carpet in the room. Beds very hard and uncomfortable.

Parking good. Outside building needing repairs. In room repairs needed, Carpet, Tub fauce-was very hard to turn on off had to have my husband do it. Bathroom door knob-Almost got stuck in bathroom couldnt get door open

The property was clean as was the room. Pool was great and the view of Lake Erie. The only problem we encountered was after check in at 3:00 Pm we noticed the TV had no signal, Went to front desk a couple of times and was told the manager was on his way. As of 9:30 PM still no TV. When we woke up in the morning it was working. Other than that nice place to stay and would go back again.

The hotel was nice enough, the room was clean but the bathroom and jacuzzi were not very clean. The breakfast was good. The pool and patio were clean and welcoming. The wifi didnt work and the tv was hit or miss on if it would work. Staff was friendly.

Pros- The man at the front desk was super nice! I didn't see anyone else( staff) around. Location is great and Lakeview. Really nice pool/ deck area with super comfy rocking chairs poolside. Cons- This hotel really needs a remodel!! Pool deck railings are warped and the lounge chairs are uncomfortable. My rooms carpet had snags and felt dirty. Jacuzzi tub needs to go or replaced along with the knobs on the wall that control it. Sink faucet leaks around bottom when in use. TV needs mounted on wall as when you're laying in bed to watch it it sits too low on the dresser so I actually had to take both little garbage cans and turn them upside down to hold the TV higher up! Window siles full of dead bugs/dirt. Floor lamp and wall outlet to plug it in are broken! The blue awnings above access doors need power washed badly!! PLEASE do a remodel for your guests!!!

Older and dated. Tiles falling off in bathroom and mold. Very dated Tv not working. Staff told us the entire hotel has no tv. This is UNACCEPTABLE

Hotel staff was very friendly and check in was a quick process, took my card for incidentals but no extra charge hold. Room was nothing like the picture but had a great view of the lake. There was an area where it was open to the jacuzzi tub like in the pictures that was boarded up and then painted over, no shower curtain and the tub jets looked rusted and was very small so did not even use, took a shower instead.elsewhere pet friendly met lots of dogs on our visit. Would say it was an okay visit especially for the price we paid!

I have stayed at this hotel many times. But this trip wasn't so good. Bathtub was dirty, had to buy a wrench to fix the shower head cause it was leaking. Wifi was non existent in our room and 2 different front desk clerks had messaged the manager about the situation but never was resolved. All trash cans around the facility was full most of the time. Had to buy own toilet paper cause we only had 1.5 rolls of paper. Most employees were at the owners other hotel next door to shut it down. Will never stay here again.

A few positives: fridge was cold. A/C kept room cool .Bed was comfortable. Negatives: cheap see through curtains. No room darkening shades. Broken drain in tub and dirty stained tub. Cob webs in ceiling. Wallpaper coming away from bathroom wall especially around electrical outlet. It was completely pulled away. Bottom of bathroom door coming apart. Would not recommend this place.

My husband is handicap and they move use from the second floor to the first floor. Without any problems. And the man at the desk said that are room was not ready but he said that he would call us when it was ready. And he called 10 mins later and said that it was ready. And he was supper nice. The room was very clean.

Wasn't a fan of this hotel. I will never stay there again. Very run down. The carpet in the hallway was wet. Spelled smelled musty and mildewish very outdated. Wi-Fi did not work either. I was very disappointed with that. Went to the front desk and you have to call a number because there's never anybody at the front desk

The service at the front desk was great. We are here for 3 weekends in a row because my husband has a class up here. The man at the desk is very welcoming with a big smile, joked around with us, and just all around has a great attitude. The hotel itself is nice. It serves the purpose.

The hotel blew up my phone halfway through my stay, claiming I was late to check out and demanding that I check out immediately. Upon arrival back to the property, they said they had me in the wrong room, only to have me pack my things and try to put me in a room that was not cleaned after the previous tenants. I was eventually allowed to stay in my own room after almost an hour of back and forth with staff.

Terrible check-in process. They only had one of our two reserved! I showed them confirmation, yet they still wanted to charge me regular price for room. Manager finally came in to smooth things over. Claimed "we didn't see your reservation was for two rooms". Used the public desktop to show them!!. Took almost 45 minutes to straighten things out.

The location of this hotel is amazing! Close to the lake, close to the ferries, and other attractions. The breakfast left something to be desired. Not a lot of options. There was also never anyone physically at the front desk. Would stay again in a bind, but may not be my first choice.

Far surpassed my expectations. We booked the king suite with a water view and it had three windows with gorgeous views looking out to Lake Erie. The breakfast was satisfying with hot and cold options. The outdoor patio looking out to the water was beautiful and has a pool. You can sit and watch the ferry go to and from Put-In-Bay. This hotel is just 5 minutes from Main St Port Clinton, the ferries, beaches, and Dock's Boathouse. The hotel was quiet, bed was comfortable. The jetted tub could use an update, but the bathroom was clean overall.

Property was right on the lake.

Was apprehensive. Seen mixed reviews after booing the hotel. I booked this trip as a last minute option after our Anna Maria Island vacation had to be postponed due to hurricaine Helene. My mother had not been a vaca in 35 years and I was not going to let her weekend be ruined. She loved that the pool deck being right on the lake. We were able to sit in rocking chairs and watch the water and boats our first evening there. Very relaxing. Great location. However.....1st room we were given had strong (pet) urine smell. I hate saying this as I have 3 babies of my own and almost brought one but opted against it last minute. It was nice however to have the option to have brought her. I just dont understand how some allow their pets to urinate on the floor and ruin the opportunity for others. Anyhoo.. I went back to registration and Tony was completely appologetic and gave us another room. 2nd room was clean and smelled like a typical hotel room near a body of water. No complaints. My "home health RN ways" prompted me to check mattresses, behind pictures, and under chair cushions for bed bugs and the shower and sink for hair and mold. Even the mini-fridge and microwave were clean and smell fresh. I will say that my new house slippers that purchased to avoid walking on unknown carpet were worth the $5 from wal mart as the bottoms were black when we left after our 2 days of walking around the room and down to the breakfast kitchen for our fresh waffles, sausages, and scrambled eggs

Loved the location. Pool/deck area is right on the lake. Rooms were nice and quiet. Next to an ice cream shop (the banana split was so good and the small is really big) also next door to a sea food restaurant and Big boys restaurant.

The hotel was adequate, it is lakeside but there is not easy access to the lake, just a good view. Don't pay the extra expecting to have walk out access to the water.

No breakfast on the weekend after spending all that money to stay there.not even a Continental Breakfast.....just a pot of coffee.

Place didn’t appear clean. Floors felt gross. Breakfast food was cold. Front desk wasn’t very engaging. Power jets in tub had pink mold. Coffee was awful. View of lake was blocked by overgrown plant life Bed was comfortable. Sheets and pillows were nice. Parking was convenient.

We just spent one night on our way to Michigan. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel could use some major updates. Rooms didn’t feel very clean. Free breakfast had enough choices. Eggs and sausage were terrible. But for one night it was just ok.
