It was dirty!!! The room was so cramped you couldnt even walk in it. We stayed mainly for the pool which was not even opened. The girl let us use the pool at the hotel next door which was co owned and it was fullnof bugs and dirt. The pictures looked great online but the place is a total dump.

The property is nice, small things needed updating, but for an overnight place to crash by the lakeshore, it was great. I had a balcony with a table and chair, and the lakeshore was just steps away with a nice pool. Will stay there again on my next short trip out that way.

My room was very clean with extra towels & pillows. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location and waterfront to the lake with a big sitting area to watch the sunset. That is next to the pool. Continental breakfast is basic, cereal, bagels, waffle maker, coffee & juice machine, apples & bananas. Area very clean. They are re-vamping the place so old reviews don’t apply. They do not allow pets. The parking lot needs some work but for the location & price its great. I will stay here again.

We had a nice stay. Couldn’t beat the price and was super happy to see there was a waffle maker for breakfast!!! The chairs on the patio over looking the water were filthy but nice to have. Time to do something with the carpets in the hallway.

On the webpage the property looked more updated and stated it offered breakfast. The breakfast was literally toast, bagels and waffles and cereal. We stayed 3 nights and had to go get towels and toilet paper, the rooms never had anyone come gather trash, dirty linens or anything of the sort. The pool was decent although it always had bugs in it. and after the holiday the yard was not picked up from the guest. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were small. the guest above us, the children were running around after the calm down time stated as being 9pm. like 12am late.

This property is by far the worst property I have ever booked while using Expedia. I asked for my money back and to talk to a manager and they said they couldn’t get a hold of one. The hotel room opened multiple times without using the key card dirt underneath the sheets Old food wrappers left in the drawer toilet look like that never been cleaned same as the shower very poor customer service and I believe this hotel should be taken off Expedia site so no one else gets screwed over

The grounds of this property was beautiful and well maintained. Although the bed was comfortable, I could see a huge mattress stain through the sheet which I put a bath towel in between. The bathtub was stained and very worn. We killed ants in the bathroom. Staff and location was wonderful.

Phone did not work, remote did not work , bugs were in the jacuzzi, spiders were along door as you walk in the room. Stayed there once before and the room we had then was better than this one. Will not stay again.

The room itself was very tiny. Infract, we had trouble opening the door because the in-room furniture was placed so close to it the door wouldn't open wide enough to gain entry with luggage. My wife had to squeeze in and move a chair that the door was hitting so we could open it. The windows were broken and full of insects. The carpet was dirty soiled and should have been replaced long ago. The refrigerator was frosted solid and could only use the bottom section. The bathroom was also tiny. The bathtub was really small. There's no way we could have taken a bath. While adjusting the shower head, it fell off. The outside premises around the building and back deck was loaded with cigarettes, cups and trash. I had to clear an area for my and my wife to sit free of litter. It was really disgusting. ...................... NEVER AGAIN!!!.......................... I'll stop here because I know nothing is going to change. You got your money. Thanks again for a horrible Labor Day Weekend. Respectfully Submitted.

We arrived and the lobby was clean but smelled strongly of cleaning supplies. Easy checkin the lady at the desk was nice. Carpets need updated throughout halls. Room was clean mattress was hard. Beautiful location, we walked straight out to the water!

Solo trip female 56. I never do reviews but just some fyi’s. The property has a second floor but no elevator. I have several bags and the worker there just said no elevator and walked away the courteous thing to do would’ve been to offer assistance. The room was clean bedding and fixtures very outdated like from the early 80’s. Comfortable enough though. The description stated daily housekeeping nope not so. I parked directly out front the first night to wake up to a damaged door handle where someone tried to get into my car they need security out to just pay attention since again I was directly in view of the registration counter. Balcony was nice with table and chairs would’ve been nicer had they dusted and got the cob webs.. oh a few on the ceiling inside the room as well. A little sprucing up and training the staff to be helpful and this establishment will thrive. I saw maybe three cars but never saw any other guest from detail to Sunday but the hotel next door was packed and full of life.

The room was tiny and our group of five could barely move if we were all in the room. There was nowhere to put our suitcases. Two of our group members ended up sleeping in the car because they didn’t have a rollaway bed like was stated when booking. The room needs major updating as things were very old and broken. The air conditioning did not work. There was only one outlet in our room so we had to take turns charging our phones.

Internet wasnt working so I asked to leave. They were extremely rude and unhelpful and made my whole experience a complete disaster. Chose to drive 3 hrs home rather then stay there. Top it off they said I cannot have a manager or owner number to complain and request my money back. I was there 15 mins at most before leaving. Room was also dirty on bed. Bugs in bed only ants from what I saw. Absolutely disgusting and inhumane acting workers and hotel

The value for the money was off the charts on the positive side. The manager and every staff member we came in contact with was pleasant and extremely helpful to our needs. I highly recommend Clinton Inn and Suites as the place to stay while in Port Clinton.

Wonderful location right by Lake Erie and right next to Jolly Roger's restaurant that has such good fish dinners. Staff was extremely helpful when we first arrived and found that our booked room was very small. She showed us a couple of other options and hurried to clean the room that we chose. Only critique is that the breakfast buffet was rather sparse. Only fruit was apples. No cocoa, no oatmeal. Not particularly appealing pastries.

The Inn worked for us for one night. It was fine, but breakfast was limited (as it stated continental). Upon reviewing the bill, there was a charge + tax for use of the safe. It wasn't used. When front desk attendant was informed the safe wasn't used, she said she wasn't authorized to give credit and would have to contact the manager. That was on Oct. 12, 2025 --still haven't heard from the manager. Would probably stay there again for a night. Not bad price and place was clean.

We stayed for 2 nights. We expected that our room would have been cleaned and restocked after the first night but apparently that is not how they do business. Not a big deal. Went to the front desk and picked up fresh towels. Very cordial upon arrival and allowed us to check in early, we appreciated that. We have been having great weather for this time of year but the outdoor pool had already been shut down and covered for the season. Affordable yet decent place to stay with a big area along the lakeshore with ample seating to relax and enjoy the views. Convenient location with ample parking, easy to find. Comfortable room. Awoke to an odd sound during the night. Discovered the minifridge door open and a frozen can of seltzer had burst! Our room had a broken window and there was not a screen in it. It would have been nice to have a screen so that the window could have been open at night to enjoy the breeze and the sound of the waves. The breakfast offerings are ample but during our stay they were out of orange juice. The room seemed to have been freshly painted a nice color.

We stayed here because it had breakfast and we were there for a fishing trip. Breakfast wasn't set up until 7am. We needed to leave by 6:30. It isn't a benefit unless you can enjoy it. Not everyone sleeps in until 7:00 or later. Do better.

Breakfast was a poor excuse even for a continental breakfast. Coffee, not good. Bread, stale. Packaged donuts, really. Not even real butter for the toast. They’d be better off not offering a breakfast. I wonder how much we paid on the bill for the breakfast. Went to McD the second morning. No elevator. This should be advertised so that a first floor room could be requested. No grab bars in the shower or grips on the shower floor. They are asking for lawsuits. Not worth the money.

I chose this hotel because I wanted to swim in the pool. The pool was advertised to be open at 7am but never opened the whole time we were there. There were spider webs on the ceiling and walls. Aside from yogurt that had quite a bit of sugar in it, the breakfast was all carbs. There should have been some protein like greek yogurt, bacon, eggs...or protein bars or something.
