Community hot tub was not working and was not told that during initial reservation. Pool looked very cloudy and not clean. I specifically requested a pool and hot tub to be able to use and wasn't able to use because of the dirtiness and the fact that the hot tub was not working. I felt the facility should have let customers know this before purchasing a room!

The pool was cold the hot tub was not working. The property itself wasn’t as nice as it used to be. They have new ownership and it’s not good. We have stayed here for the last five years not sure I will go back next year.

I love staying here when they have live music. The Broken Niblet is a great little restaurant-pub located in the hotel. They have really good food. Entertainment is a plus. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub. Great hotel for the price!! I can also bring my dog 💕

Nice hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast with a few hot and cold choices. Only complaint was the look of the pool -cloudy and looked dirty -we decided not to venture in.

Found a baby cockroach in our room crawling across the counter. Night time front desk lady did nothing but swear at everyone, including my 12 year old. We were denied towels for the pool after someone took ours off our table. Shower water was only hot for a few minutes at a time. Cigarette ashes behind the night stand. Will not be returning.

Mid-shift check in gal very pleasant and accommodating. We didn't know that the environment was a smoking/non-smoking. Who still has smoking rooms? Fortunately our room didn't smell like smoke, but the hallways did. Our room, #200, hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in some time; dust and pet hair everywhere, even is the ice bucket. There were 2 places of dried boogers underneath the bathroom towel rack: So Gross! Mildew on top of the shower enclosure, and the shower head itself. Plus, not even enough hot water for 1 guest, let alone 2, in our room: not acceptable! The room hadn't been vacuumed before we got there; there were pieces of old pieces of candy on the floor beside the bedside stands, among other OBVIOUS pieces of debris. I would not walk bare-footed in the room! Mildew frosted in the freezer. Fridge, mehh. Dried (???) under the microwave rotating wheel. Hot tub and pool very cloudy with a strange smell. If only the housekeeping staff was as fastidious as the breakfast quarter staff, this place would be immaculous! No next time!!!

We received a friendly welcome from the young lady at the desk and check-in was quick and easy. Our room was nice and clean. No funky smells. Nice crisp COTTON sheets, nice thick towels. The mattress was just right, firm enough and not spongy. The a/c is very quiet and didn't wake me up at all. No earplugs needed. Plenty of electric plugs to plug in our CPAP machines and phone. We were on the back side of the building and enjoyed seeing the ball teams practice, no traffic noise. We did catch a hint of smoke smell coming up from the restaurant below on Wednesday and Thursday, I guess people were smoking outside but it wasn't terrible. This hotel is convenient to Amish towns and the interstate, but far enough away to not hear all the interstate highway traffic. We stayed at 4 different hotels on this trip as we moved along our route and this was BY FAR the best one.

The hotel was not busy during our visit. We were in a room facing the busy road in front of the hotel listening to the traffic and trucks. The toilet seat was broken and not replaced after telling them. The tub was hard to get into to shower. Not what we expected. We will not return. The health dept closed the breakfast dining they served during our stay. Alot of problems due to new management and not addressing them.

Room was spacious however all the decor was years out of date. There was no ice machine on the 3rd floor. My biggest disappointment is i have requested a ground level room my last 2 visits due to my lower extremities issues, i am a disabled veteran. The last visit they gave me a 2nd floor room this time a 3rd floor room. Also the front clerk during the day never once said hello or thank you or asked about our stay. When i checked out i had to ask for a print out of my room charges twice.

The room was mostly clean and tidy, some dust on lamp and TV. Smelled nice, and looked welcoming. The bed was softer than we like but we slept okay. The bathroom was clean and had towels and soap. We enjoyed the room and felt comfortable. Had microwave, ironing board, iron, hair dryer. Our only complaints - breakfast... It just wasn't very good. The gravy was very lumpy and the biscuits were hard. They ran out of orange juice and it was not refilled for over an hour. They also ran out of bagels and didn't put any out while we were in there eating. They kept the room clean and coffee hot, though. Also found the front desk employees were not real friendly and not knowledgeable about the area. Overall a nice stay. Would recommend to others.

The lady who checked me in loudly said my room number in front of another guest, I asked for a no smoking room and the bathroom reeked of cigarettes. I asked for a pack and play in my room for my son and one was not provided. Staff was not friendly. Every time I passed a staff member they had a scowl on their face. I will not be staying again.

Not one of the front desk employees was even the least bit friendly. Surly would best describe them. We would greet THEM and they wouldn’t even reply!!! It was surrealistic. No decaf coffee and when we asked about it - it was as if we offended them. Just unfriendly.

Everyone was super nice except the front desk clerk on Saturday evening. Our room was missed being cleaned and she was rude when we told her. She said nothing I can do about that. No sorry even was offered.

We were not happy that Ramada placed an extra $215.40 hold above the cost of the room on our credit card without telling us. When I tried to get a receipt at checkout, the lady at the front desk acted like I was bothering her (she was talking on the phone when I checked out) and refused to give us any kind of receipt because we booked through a third party. Both the check in girl and the gentleman at the desk on Saturday were very nice.

When I tried to get a receipt at checkout, the lady at the front desk acted like I was bothering her (she was talking on the phone when I checked out) and refused to give us any kind of receipt because we booked through a third party. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who is going to the Canton area and doesn't mind being out of the city. Strasburg is only 18 miles from Canton. The Ramada was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was awesome. We got extra shampoo and towels and garbage bags with no problem. The breakfast was a little underwhelming. Bagels Belgian waffles and cereal, milk juice, tea and coffee. I would have loved to have been served scrambled eggs and bacon or and toast, there was no bread. The location is very convenient. It sits between Family Dollar and McDonald's. Within a mile and a half there are plenty of places to eat. Rosalie's diner is one that I would definitely recommend. They also have a farmer's market and 77 North entrance is within a mile also. When my family comes back to Canton we will definitely be booking here again.

Excellent option for us at an affordable price ... we had two events at two different locations on two different days. Strasburg was a great location just off the interstate. The hotel itself is a bit aged but the new owner seems to always be on site with a smile on his face, welcoming guests. I did find the room quite nice with cooling options that did not overwhelm nor lack. The breakfast, however, was a bit lacking on options. I am diabetic so I am quite observant in avoiding sugars. I was able to eat Rice Crispies with milk but would have enjoyed fresh bananas as an option. Oranges were an option but too much sugar in those! However, I could have walked just a few steps to McDonald's if I had wanted to do so. In the end, I would definitely keep this location in mind for another event stay in the future. Kudos to the new owner ... he did make us feel welcome!

My title is a reflection of the experience, which on the whole, was super cool Retro! Yes, the decor and atmosphere are a bit dated, but I enjoyed it! From a cleanliness, comfort and service standpoint, they hit all the marks! The location is great, on the outskirts of Amish country, and the hotel is right next door to a lovely park. If you want ultra modern, it may not suit your tastes, but for me, it was right on target! Great value and enjoyable stay.

We received a friendly welcome from the young lady at the desk and check-in was quick and easy. Our room was nice and clean. No funky smells. Nice crisp COTTON sheets, nice thick towels. The mattress was just right, firm enough and not spongy. The a/c is very quiet and didn't wake me up at all. No earplugs needed. Plenty of electric plugs to plug in our CPAP machines and phone. We were on the back side of the building and enjoyed seeing the ball teams practice, no traffic noise. We did catch a hint of smoke smell coming up from the restaurant below on Wednesday and Thursday, I guess people were smoking outside but it wasn't terrible. This hotel is convenient to Amish towns and the interstate, but far enough away to not hear all the interstate highway traffic. We stayed at 4 different hotels on this trip as we moved along our route and this was BY FAR the best one.

The staff were very kind & the property is conveniently located close to Amish country. Room layout was extremely bizarre. The phone was in the bathroom next to the toilet, which we found hilariously odd. The air conditioning wasn't operating correctly & the room stayed quite warm despite the setting. Front desk woman was great. Sorry i did not get her name. She has been there for a long time. Our group stays at this hotel every year and she is always a credit to the facility. The down side to this stay was no breakfast or coffee. It was rectified with gift cards.

I love staying here when they have live music. The Broken Niblet is a great little restaurant-pub located in the hotel. They have really good food. Entertainment is a plus. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub. Great hotel for the price!! I can also bring my dog 💕

A very good place for our visit to Amish land......the restaurant in the hotel was great....we have a fantastic spaghetti dinner on Friday and the local EPA was good.

The room was mostly clean and tidy, some dust on lamp and TV. Smelled nice, and looked welcoming. The bed was softer than we like but we slept okay. The bathroom was clean and had towels and soap. We enjoyed the room and felt comfortable. Had microwave, ironing board, iron, hair dryer. Our only complaints - breakfast... It just wasn't very good. The gravy was very lumpy and the biscuits were hard. They ran out of orange juice and it was not refilled for over an hour. They also ran out of bagels and didn't put any out while we were in there eating. They kept the room clean and coffee hot, though. Also found the front desk employees were not real friendly and not knowledgeable about the area. Overall a nice stay. Would recommend to others.

Property is very clean, staff is friendly and loved that they have an onsite bar and restaurant. Food and beverage selection was decent. The live music was a bonus. Only thing I’d say is this property is dated. Pool and hot tub area was well maintained.

Nice location and the pub at the hotel was very nice. They had live music, great beverages and good food. The bartender was wonderful and it was nice to not leave the hotel once we checked in. Lastly, liked that the hotel was quiet at night and you did not hear traffic.

Second time we’ve stayed here. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Our room has been clean both times and the young lady takes good care of the breakfast area in the morning. We love the park and the river right behind the hotel making it a very enjoyable small getaway for our young family.
