Great property at an awesome location but needs work in upkeep and maintenance. Our suite room was not properly cleaned, fitness centre was dirty, pool was stained with no shower and towel facilities, pancake machine wasn’t working.

The view from our room and the location of the hotel on the river is exemplary. This hotel is undergoing huge remodeling and should not be charging the prices they are asking. No Pool or hot tub, though we got a bit of a discount for this. The morning complimentary breakfast was excellent.

The toilet in our was plugged when we got there, never used it. When we did use it ,it overflowed. The morning front desk lady was the maintenence man. she said she fixed it but she didn't. someone came in while we were out in the afternoon finally got it to flush. the pool was closed and pancake cooker was broke. the biscuits were hard as a rock. the cars on the bridge were very noisy. this two night stay cost 428.11$ crazy

Stayed 3 nights with our 3 kids in a large suite. Would stay here again. Easy walk to restaurants, and it is right on the waterfront path with a great view of the river and ships. Free on-site parking. Pool was fine but the heater wasn’t working on our first day, and it was closed for maintenance on our last day. Nice lobby and rooms. Breakfast was okay.

This Hotel was beautiful, clean and quiet. The room we got had 3 beds, 1 king bedroom, 1 queen and a sofa sleeper. It was right on the ocean. The views were beautiful. They have a pool, hot tub and full breakfast.

The hot tub and swimming pool were close due to maintenance issues. I understand, but it would be nice to know before I book a room. If hotels could have issues highlighted for user before booking it would be great.

We were disappointed with our recent stay at your hotel. Here's why: The hotel was undergoing renovations, which were not mentioned on your website. Due to renovations, key amenities like the pool were unavailable but still charging the full rate felt unfair. It would have been appropriate to offer a discount to reflect the limitations imposed by the renovation. Our room was not properly cleaned. Finding hair on the pillow was a clear sign that housekeeping standards were not met. Additionally, dust was present in the lobby air likely due to the ongoing renovations. Nice stay right on the trolley line. Great view of the river right next to the Astoria-Megler bridge. The downside was we chose the hotel because it had an indoor pool, but found out when we checked in the pool heater didn’t work. Something to consider, it was foggy, lots of foghorn noise, just something to be aware of. Some in our group enjoyed it but others didn’t.

I liked that the property was right next to the river. I didn't like that there was a used dental flosser on the counter in the room and some dog food under the coffee table. Other than that the room was clean and very nice.

We stayed in the two room suite. It was nice, but it had ants! The pool area was run down and the pool water was cloudy with the hot tub currently in disrepair. The views were great and the location along the walking path was wonderful! It was an average stay.

Good location with great view of the river and sunset. Unfortunately room cleanliness and upkeep was lacking a bit. Cobwebs and peeling wallpaper to name a few. We could hear everything our neighbors on each side said, and the walls would shake anytime people’s door would close.

They were under construction during our stay so it was a bit messy and loud. But also- the ice machine was not working, the pool and jacuzzi were closed, the juice machine was broken, the pancake machine broken, hard dried-out bread and pastries, complimentary popcorn machine broken, our room was dirty with dried spills and drink rings on the surfaces, construction dust in the corners behind the doors and on the bathroom counter, hairs on the floor and tub. Disappointing for sure. Alas, our river view room provided amazing views and it was a comfortable place to lay our heads at the end of the busy days.

There were ants in our room. The hot tub wasn’t working. The lady at the front desk wasn’t helpful and didn’t apologize for our situation with the ants. We bought Krispy cream donuts and the ants were all over it the next morning.

We came for 1 night to meet our family and fish the next day. Arriving at the front desk was greeted with smiling faces and very kind voices! A sweet girl checked us in quickly and when we got to our room it had been newly updated and was very spacious! Our bathroom was all in order and I love the soaps and lotions in attached holders with the large bottles ready to pump!! All was excellent!!

I love this place. I travel to Astoria several times a year for work, and have stayed at several other spots. Nothing beats the cleanliness, the friendliness or the convenience. I had a lovely room overlooking the water in this last trip- it was spotless and the front desk was really friendly and nice. I’m not moving around anymore- this is my spot!

Very comfortable and spacious room, with an amazing view of the bridge at sunset. Cookies at check-in! Very clean. You can easily walk down the trolley trackway trail into town along the river. A very pleasant stay.

Great hotel - would definitely stay there again. Location was good - beautiful views and a nice walkway alongside the river. We booked a suite and it was very roomy. The beds were very comfortable. It is at the foot of the bridge and our room was directly under on the top floor so when we awoke, I thought I heard thunder but realized it was traffic on the bridge but was no loud enough to wake us. Breakfast was good and pool area was nice. Really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is well-located, clean, and rooms facing the river have a great view. The light in our bathroom broke after our first night so they moved us to a different room. We could not get connected to WiFi in that room and they were unable to figure out why. Other than these issues the stay was enjoyable.

The place was nice and all but we got a corner suite closest to the bridge and o.m.g. learn from us.... you can hear every car the drives over the bridge. Clunk clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk clunk. All. Night. Long. Will not stay again. Too bad cause otherwise nice.

Our stay at The Holiday Inn Express Suites in Astoria, Oregon was fantastic! The Views from our room was amazing. The Riverwalk ran alongside the Columbia River with fishing boats and freighters traveling by! The room was excellent—extremely clean and was cozy with the fireplace —as the night in late August was chilly. The staff, from check-in to check-out was extremely helpful in recommending eating places and sights to see! The coffee and cookies were an afternoon treat, also! I Highly recommend this Hotel on the river! We loved it!

We stayed here as a family trip to see the Goonies home and the town. When we checked in the hotel front desk lady was not very friendly. I had to ask her multiple questions that MOST hotels tell you automatically when you check in, like when breakfast is, where I should park my car, etc. She was nice to others after me as I was waiting for my husband to bring in the luggage but to me she was cold and not so helpful. The hotel in itself was lovely and the view was gorgeous, just the front desk lady made my stay not as fun as it could have been. She was that way the whole time also, & not to just me but my husband & toddler.

Left something in room. Called within the hour to report. Was transferred twice. Called back and left msg for GM. Never got a return call. Called at end of day to check … transferred to some person at corporate (?). Called back to talk to front desk. Said they would check … put on hold then disconnected. Called back (!!) and got reservations (?). Said they would transfer but if I got disconnected, to call back and select “0”. Guess what … got disconnected.

Location , For the Price would expect a bit more . Staff not very Knowledgable of on goings of area , so better go to Town Visitor Information Center which is not far away. Would figure they would have TV on in lobby in early morning had to figure all that out for them. Fire place would make it more inviting in evening and early morning but was off during our entire stay.

After spending a great night in Astoria and enjoying a beautiful sunset from our room. We woke up the next morning to find breakfast completely picked over. We left for a soccer tournament in Seaside and the hotel called us on the way letting us know we have to move rooms because there’s a leak below us and they need to get the maintenance guys into our bathroom. I asked them to please wait until I could get back to the room to pack our things in 2 hours. They said that was okay, so I rushed back - only to be told we no longer had to move rooms! The leak repair could wait until we checked out. I asked why no one called to let me know, and they had no response. It was a complete waste of my time and money, so I asked what they were going to do to compensate us for the hassle and miscommunication. They offered me 5k IGH points and that was it. I was so furious by the whole experience that I cancelled the second night and booked elsewhere. It was absurd and we will never stay there again

I loved this hotel! Convenient free parking, location was right in the downtown area, the staff was so friendly, and there was a great hot breakfast with eggs, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast, muffins and pastries, milk, juices, coffee and tea. This is a dog friendly hotel and I traveled with my Pomeranian. They had a pet friendly room waiting for me.

The staff was extremely accommodating, considering a "third party" reservation company cancelled our reservation without our knowledge or consent. Lesson learned, never use a "third party" service when it's soooo easy to get excellent customer service from the source! As for this property, we were extremely pleased, treated well, and will definitely be back! And the next time, we will call them direct!

Great location on the river near restaurants and the beds were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast included. The eggs aren’t great but I was impressed at offerings for folks with dietary restrictions like oatmilk, sugar-free syrup, gluten-free toast. Terrible breakfasts probably better not to bother offering it. Pool is tiny and looked less than inviting, it was closed anyway when we stayed. Only there 2nights but there was no housekeeping in the room-surely part the reason for going to a hotel rather than selfcatering. Expensive for what it offered though the room was spacious.

Friendly staff for welcoming and service for check-in and check out. Not pleasant experiences in breakfast food and coffee. Pancake machine was out of order without any backup options. Rotten bananas provided. Too much water (3 or 4 times more than necessary) in hot coffee.

WE loved the location -- right on the river, watching the ships coming and going, as well as all of the ducks. For some reason, there was no hot breakfast. Evidently something/someone had a problem. But we did love the hotel.
