Best Western Sandy Inn

I use to stay here every time I came to this area. I went through the years they did up grades, hot tub malfunctions higher prices than in Gresham. I quit after the finished the updates and up grades and raised the price significantly. I drive to Gresham for lower prices of $50 to $70. With same amenities. I tried again with the high price. Hot tub no heat!! Pool not warm. Not happy

No elevator and a long staircase to the second floor. Lots of fast food near. Grocery store next to hotel.

Staff was super friendly, love that the pool was opened 24/7. The pillows are terrible. Needed all 4 from one bed to even feel somewhat comfortable. Clean beside a stain on one pillow case. Would come back though.

Need to add wheelchair access to the front door. Also need an elevator

It was great overall. Only complaint was that the hot tub wasn’t hot enough and looked dirty.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We paid a small fee for an early arrival check in. The property and room was noticeably very clean. Breakfast had good options for everyone in our group. Unfortunately the hot tub water was not being heated. We were informed the pool heat pump was temporarily out of service, but was assured the hot tub worked. Not the case. Overall good hotel experience

Friendly and helpful staff, clean pool and gym. Good location for visiting family nearby and waterfalls, Clackamas river and Mt Hood.

It was okay. We enjoyed the pool. The bed was comfortable. Pack n play was available. AC wasn't on in the room when we arrived, it was very hot. AC didn't work very well. The sink was broken and there was a hole in the bathroom door. Chipped paint, broken elevator. Breakfast was okay. We will find a different hotel next time.

Sean at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The ceiling in the bathroom had mold growing on the ceiling, the fan on the wall was coming off the wall, and the floor bathroom towel had hairs on it.

I was taking a bath, and I noticed the underside of the toilet rim was quite dirty. Other than that it was a lovely stay, and everything was clean.

The room smelled like dog, bathroom had strong urine odor and the floor needed to be wet mopped. The floor was black with dirt. Nathan was great at the front desk.

Rooms clean. Hallways could have used vacuuming. Breakfast area on the most part clean. Pool excellent.

Nice enough place, nice staff. Everything was clean for the most part, but found bed bugs in the morning and was completely taken back. It took a few days for me to write this to process it, because I had never come across this before, but think the staff should know so they can take care of it.

Overall a nice stay. One of our rooms had a noisy wall ac. I subtracted a star for cleaniliness since one room had some hair in the shower (prior to us using). And both rooms had either: a )sticky floor or b) dirty floor (we wore socks around the rooms).

The front desk staff was nice and the breakfast was good. I felt like our room was definitely the opposite of nice. The "pullout sofa" was sooo bad it would have made more sense to sleep on the floor. Our shower didn't drain and it was kind of gross. I will say, the pool was fun and that area was clean. I enjoyed the hot tub and pool amenities but the room itself was not worth what I spent. AND the entire hallway smelled like stale weed. Our 8 year old was worried someone hurt a skunk in their room. Other than that, it was a decent stay for a budget motel. Not my favorite Best Western experience, but not my worst!

This was the quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. And there was a full house. Really enjoyed our stay.

The room had no blackout curtain to cover the light from the post which comes directly in our room. We can hear the noise of the people using the stairs. The staff at the front desk are not friendly.

My high school chum and I were doing a reunion road trip and stayed at the BW in Sandy, Oregon for one night. Rosa and Ryan checked us in. They greeted us warmly and professionally. Rosa was genuinely interested in helping us. Ryan helped us with an AC problem. We were cool in no time. Nathan, who was on the night desk, offered to take our picture when we three returned from dinner when he saw that a selfie wasn’t going to be the best choice. Nathan asked if there was anything he could do to make our stay pleasant. Breakfast was tasty! The offering gave us lots from which to choose. We enjoyed the omelets, fresh orange, waffles with marion berry syrup and whipped cream, bacon and coffee. This was my second time at the BW Sandy and was pleased again. Thank you Rosa, Ryan, and Nathan.

Super noisy motel. A team of kids staying there were totally unsupervised, screaming and yelling and running the hallway. Paper thin doors and walls. I was so disappointed in my stay there and the price was ridiculous.

Up all night bc of kids running above us. Neither of the bed side lights worked, the door to the bathroom literally blocked the entire room. Terrible new design. For $220 a night, not impressed.

The room was as expected, clean with a king sized bed. We were very frustrated with the Direct TV in the room. It buffered randomly, so we could not watch any TV, really. We told the front desk about it on our first night of two, she said that she would send someone up to have a look. No one came that night. Told the front desk about it the next morning. They re-booted the Direct TV system, but it continued to buffer randomly. Surely the management knows they have a TV reception issue. We would not stay in this hotel again.

Truth be told, you should never judge a book by its cover! Even though the outside of the hotel looks so average and plain, the inner workings of this establishment was truly a pleasant surprise! Pricing was cost effective, room accommodations clean and spacious, complimentary breakfast provided variety and full bellies, location is right in the middle of everything you could possibly need (dining, groceries, fuel, etc.), and best of all... the staff was AMAZING!! A special shout out to Taylor (Assistant Manager)!! My family and I were getting ready to check-out of our rooms and discovered that we had misplaced our car keys... Taylor was so kind and gracious to allow us to extend our check-in until we could find other arrangements for travel. We were so worried and discombobulated that we would miss our flight and he was so understanding and helpful in our stressful situation. Already thinking that we were going to be stranded for at least another day, we decided to book an additional night at the hotel. Luckily, a few hours later, we found our missing keys and he was gracious enough to refund us back for the additional night. Thank you Taylor for your kindness and for your humanity in helping others when in need!! We will definitely stay there again next time we are in the neighborhood!

This is our third or fourth stay at Sandy Inn. I would highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and attentive to any needs. The morning breakfast is always good. Ed Palmer

Be prepared to be charged twice for your room. Apparently it’s just how their system works. Even when you chose pay at the property they will charge your card the morning of your reservation. Extremely inconvenient and the front desk was less help than a virtual assistant

The receptionist was rude and condescending. We were waiting for her to tell us where our room was and she stated "You can go now." in an unfriendly tone. I told her she did not tell us where the room was.

We appreciated being greeted with a smile as soon as we walked up to the desk. The first room we were given had a smokey oder. We were immediately given another room. And all with a cheerful attitude. The room was large and had bright lights!! Everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. I have nothing negative to say about our stay. We will return here again.

Clean rooms. Normal hotel. Only issue, when i went to check in there was no one at the desk and took a good 30 minutes to show up even after ringing the bell for service and calling the phone number for the property

Breakfast was good. Front desk employees were very nice and helpful. One even printed my boarding passes to fly back to Florida. Her name is Kat i believe. I visited Oregon for a week to see my oldest son and first grandson. I will definitely stay their in the future again. Thanks again!

The front desk lady was so nice and welcoming

A number of things were not working in the room. Staff at desk not very helpful. Arrived early 11:30 AM and was told if we wait until noon we could check in for a $25 early check in fee. Otherwise check in was 3:00 PM. Booked a 5 night stay and had to check out one day early due to problem at home. Still had to pay for 5 day.

Solid place to stay. Breakfast was good. Safeway was only a few doors down. Fast food across the street.

I really like the hotel staff very polite and professional. The cleaning staff did a pretty good job as well. Overall pretty good hotel only thing I did not enjoy was the breakfast. It was very cold and not fresh. I went to the bread section and the bread was hard and stale I even saw mold on one of the English muffins. Not really expecting five star dining but they need to really improve with the breakfast as far as it being hot and fresh and better quality.
