Comfort Inn - Pocono Mountains

No hot tub. Bar and game.room were closed.

The staff was nice. The room was dirty with an empty water bottle on the floor and sugar on the table. The lamp was missing a bulb. The bathroom sink looked like it had not been cleaned. The staff did get us a bulb and a tv remote we were missing. They also do not have an arcade room or a hot tub as advertised.

Parking lot was dirty. Trash all over. Overflowing dumpster. Broken lights.

They have temperature controlled area for indoor swimming pool. They also keep separate pool towels for guests so we don’t have to carry our down there that was nice.

Good food at Mexican restaurant next door. Lobby was nice, breakfast other than waffles was cold (bacon, eggs). Guest room was clean. Bathroom light out, outlet didnt work, bathroom fan didnt seem to work. A landscaper hasnt touched this property in a couple years. Weeds very high, discarded cig butts everywhere, empty beer cans dumped off railing by sidewalk, elevator was broken, shattered glass in the door to 300 series rooms.

Did not have warm water to take a shower! Front desk said it would be fixed in an hour or so, but took much longer. Pool water was also cold. Facility was ok, but water issue was very bad

THE POOL AREA WAS NOT MAINTAINED PROPERLY LEAD TO WET LIFTS AND CORRIDORS AND ALSO NO TOWELS IN POOL AREA

We stayed at this hotel because the website stated pool and whirlpool. There is no whirlpool. Pool is open until 10pm but they shut the heat off at 5 pm both nights. No towels were at the pool, but front desk did find some when asked. Lobby floor under construction. Restaurant was closed without warning. Floor in room was a hard floor and not mopped recently. We spilled water and wiped it with a washcloth-cane up black. Heat in room seemed to shut off in the night. Front desk was friendly and was proper. Breakfast was good, good assortment and was hot. Buckets catching roof leaks on several floors. Cost should have been lower for conditions. Beds were clean. Never cleaned room or emptied trash during two night stay. People nice … facility no so much.

The hotel was close to the ski resorts in the area. my son loved the pool and the arcade.

Staff didn’t come to clean room or bring fresh towels. Elevator was broken. Hotel was pricey for condition of hotel which needs some work and lack of customer service.

The staff didn't even make an attempt to appear as if the cleaned the room. There were pistachio shells right on the floor in the middle of the room. Not like they were missed in a corner. Plus, what looked like blood on the wall. I was in Room 505. Seriously, Seriously for the price, you would at least expect it to appear like they cleaned. Very disappointed

The lobby, even though it was at ground level, apparently is called the fourth floor… Customers are expected to know if they go up one floor they’re on the fifth floor… The staff acted like we were ignorant for not knowing this. The bathroom toilet in our room had not been cleaned for quite some time. But when we called the front desk to complain about that, someone did come up right away to clean it for us.

WARNING!! Filthy!! Filthy!! Filthy!!! Bed Bugs!! Nasty!! I would'nt let a pig stay there!! Human excrement on floor in bathroom. Hallways disgustingly filthy. Floors in rooms were filthy! They had not seen a broom, mop or vacuum in weeks. The bed looked okay until I opened the covers to find BED BUGS!! YIKES!! Hair & mold in bathroom sink. I took pictures of all of this. The pictures of the property did not match what we saw in the interior. We went to the front desk to address to these issues and were told that Manager Eddie was off until Monday. I called Manager Eddie on Monday and was told he was not in today and was promply hung up on. This hotel puts a stain on all other Comfort Inns. The owner needs to nake sone drastic changes soon. I DEMAND A FULL REFUND!! I tried to upload some pictures, but this site seems to want to hide these problems

Staff was nice but rooms were filthy! Area around toilet base looked like it hadn’t beed cleaned in months. There were hairs on the sheets and not just the top blanket but under the covers. The tables looked like they hadn’t been dusted and the shower had some black mildew/mold all over the grout. The halls hadn’t been vacuumed and the walls looked like people had smeared their dirty hands on them. The location is convenient and the Mexican restaurant next door had delicious tacos but I would still never stay here again

What I liked was that Staff was friendly, Checking in and out was fast, Room was very clean. It was quite, Breakfast was good, the area inside lobby breakfast area was clean. What I didn’t like was the hallway carpet looked dirty and brung an odor to the hallway..

The bathroom has mold in the shower and on the sink counter, exhaust fan didn't work & was dirty, one light was out and the light cover needed to be cleaned. That was just the bathroom! The carpet in the hallway(s) needs to be cleaned and/or repaired. Hallway molding was falling off and the lobby elevator was not working. The freeze in mini fridge needed to be defrosted you can't open the door. The only nice thing is flooring in the room was newer and the beds were fine. Lobby was nice.

Hotel is old and dirty, old disgusting carpets in hallways, lady at the desk was rude, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable but overall would never recommend or stay there again

Floors were incredibly dirty in our room. There were a bunch of those fireworks snaps that you throw on the ground scattered around our room. The shower had black mold in it. The carpets in the hallway were absolutely disgusting.

Our bathroom was NASTY! There was mildew around the entire tub/shower area, as well as the base of the toilet. I was very glad I didn't need to use the shower!

Needs to be updated. It is 25 to 30 minutes from everything you want to do. Housekeeping worked hard to keep rooms clean and ready. Overall not a bad stay.

Place is rundown, furniture dinged and dented. Peeling carpet trim in hallway. Sheets and towels were clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast adequate but somewhat unappealing. Cheap room rates. Easy access to Penn Turnpike

The hotel has been remodeled in an average way, the new paint and surfaces are good but leaving old doors, bathroom faucets, etc.

Not very welcoming after a long drive. No smiles. WIFI was very poor. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Toilet was “squished” into the bathroom in a diagonal position (very weird—that’s a first for us). See pictures below. They had Fox Television blaring in the breakfast room and wouldn’t change the channel because, as they said, “We watch it” meaning the desk clerk…in other words, it’s not for the hotel guests. Finally, the tv channel would go out every 5 minutes, freeze, and then come back.

This hotel was fine for what we needed it for…. A safe & comfortable place to stay after a day of tubing and then getting up the next morning to leave. We didn’t spend a significant amount of time here, but we used the pool for an hour and breakfast had a decent selection the following morning. The location was great and there’s a WaWa right down the road! It’s also 10 minutes from the state park with nice hiking trails. The bathroom could use a major upgrade and the room didn’t have a lot of space, lighting was poor, but again….. we were only staying here for a quick night and didn’t expect it to be luxury.

The room was great beside the awkwardness of how the toilet was set . The front desk staff had no personality, barely even talked. The hotel definitely needs updated. They did not leave any washcloths for us. The location was good though for what we wanted. Also the hallways were very noisy and people were drinking in the parking lot. Doors were slamming at 2 an 3 in the morning.

When we checked in the girl behind the desk was texting and it legit took her 30 seconds to even look up that we walked in. I wouldn’t complain if that was the only issue . I know the hotel is under construction but she gave us the furthest room from the elevator and I had a noticeable hurt leg but whatever. But after we went to get food our keys stopped working so I called the front desk to see if they could help us in our room the girl said no I can’t leave the front desk I’m the only employee down at the front desk. So I said fine I will hobble down and she wasn’t even at the desk it was guy. So she straight up lied to not help. Not a good way to start our vacation. The breakfast was decent .. but the lady putting all the food out seemed annoyed we were getting food. I just felt like we were unconvincing every one, the next day my bf didn’t feel good I asked if we could extend the check out the lady said no even before I could ask the question we wanted to check out at 12 … she said she had too many people coming that day… well how about you take care of the guests that are here now not your future guests.

Manager was very helpful and changed my date of stay even though it was booked with 3rd pary. Staff were very attentive and helpful during my stay.

Upon arrival the staff member was rude and disrespectful. He finally checked us in a 1:30pm into a room that had no television. We asked her how to fix it she said that maintenance was gone. The evening shift staff moved us to a better room. The area is perfect for what we came for.

Upon checking in the air conditioning in my room did not work, so I went to pick up the phone to call the front desk and I noticed a sticky substance on the receiver of the phone. I went to the front desk and they immediately moved my room. However when I came back in that night my keycard did not work and I had to return to the main desk again, they reconfigured the card but it still didn’t work.

Kind staff

Our family stayed at the Comfort Inn for a quick getaway to enjoy Snow tubing at Big Boulder. It was clear this hotel was not used to a full house. We got 2 of the last 3 rooms available. Neither room had towels when we arrived. When we asked for them, the desk didn’t have any and it took longer than expected for housekeeping to bring them. When we asked for a set for the second room, they called and asked us to come get them. Again, it seemed like they were short staffed! Also – toilet paper was sitting on the sink counter instead of on the roll. Rooms: Queen Beds felt smaller than our queen at home, but comfortable and we all slept well. One room had an updated HVAC unit with digital display, the other room had an older unit which was tougher to find the right temperature. There was a large bench for suitcases or sitting as well as a table and two chairs. Small fridge and microwave are also provided with a small safe in the closet. In one of the bathrooms, most the bulbs were burned out and one flickered. This was quite annoying. Based on how long it took to get towels, I felt it was pointless to bring it up to the desk. Pool area had a power outage and needed to close early. The game room also needed to close early. For what we needed, the hotel was fine – a place to crash, shower, etc after tubing. If you are looking for a more pampered experience, I do not recommend it.

We stayed at this property over a weekend in June. The bathroom had a leaky faucet, the room was not clean, and we asked for another room or to cancel the rest of our stay after the first night. We were told that there was and would not be a manager on duty, so the person at the front desk could not help us with anything. They also told us that they were understaffed on the weekends, so our rooms would not be cleaned. When we asked them how we request/get clean towels and bathroom issues, the person at the desk said they did not know. We then called Expedia, they called, the office, and were told the same thing. Absolutely terrible!

excellent service, location and convenient

This Confort Inn is well located near Jack Frost and Big Boulder ski areas, Lake Harmony and other attractions in the area.

Very nice great location we went snowboarding at Jack Frost it’s less than 10 minutes away. There’s Wawa McDonalds Burger King Arby’s all right next to it.

Great location

The hotel was conveniently located to the ski resort. The room was modern, clean and bed comfortable. Temperature control was good. The only issue was being woken up in the middle of the night due to the bathroom pipes making a banging noise. Probably due to the temperature dropping but I closed the door and it muffled the sound. That’s my only issue because it affected a sound sleep. The staff were friendly and provided a listed of restaurants and things to do in the area.

Close to highway

Easy on/off the highway place to crash for the night. It served its purpose to not need to drive from an evening event at the Pocono Raceway. Easy check in/out, access to the room. It was clean, older renovated room. The hallways show the age and condition of the hotel (kind of dingy and very out dated).

Facility has an odd layout, and the location is a bit out of the way. But our room was large, comfortable and decently lit.

It is a very convenient location next to the Turnpike but very noise. The building is old and neglected inside and out. The breakfast was really good but the hours are weird, during the week the breakfast is over at 9 am instead of 10 am. The staff is very friendly and we’re able to resolve our issues with on room so the next day they put us in another one better, bigger an cleaner. The heat/AC where most of them the plastic covers were broken and when we turned in on a blast of dirt blown to our face. Hope the owner invest money in updating the hotel and fixing what’s broken.

The hotel was nice. One thing though, If you tell your guests breakfast is at 7am then it should be ready at 7am. Neither day was it. First morning not ready until 8am. Unacceptable. Had to skip it to on with my day. Second morning had to sit until 7:30am until it was ready. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED. GET IT READY BY 7!!!

I loved the breakfast, especially waffle maker

It was an average hotel experience. Staff did their job but weren't kind or courteous. The pool was a nice addition, but also added water damage and a strong mildew smell throughout. No towels or wash cloths, we were given pool towels that were lieratlly falling apart at the seams. The bed was comfortable, but the linens could have been better cleaned. Hair on the outer blanket and it had a slight tan hue, either the linen is very old or their washers are not up to par and stained them. Dust and hair on the floor, very obvious that they skipped a sweep/mop. housekeeping seemed like a rush job overall, confirmed by them attempting to enter our room 5 minutes after check out. appliances were the best feature, minus the coffee maker and the fridge which again, skipped over to conserve time. location is okay, though the construction on 940 and the PA turnpike made travelling within the area a hassle. The surrounding food options were okay. The restaurant/bar attached seemed nice but pricey. any other decent restaurants are 15 minutes away in downtown White Haven. Overall, the stay was satisfactory, bring your own cleaning supplies, towels and washcloths, which I feel most hotel guests do nowadays, and the stay will be to your liking and price range of you are willing to explore the area for activities and food!

They had waffles that you could make on your own. Everything was just so great. The breakfast was incredible surprisingly
