The room smelled like smoke for a non-smoking room, cigarette burns in the bedding, the bathroom was filthy, and there was no hair dryer.

Upon check in, the lobby had an intense overpowering chlorine smell. The pool was only steps away from the check in desk. The door to the pool was open. I told the desk person that I had a serious lung disease and this level of exposure to breathing chlorine was dangerous to me. I asked if they could close the glass pool door. He stated that the guests who use the pool complain that it is too hot with the door closed. The hotel lists a 24 Coffee Bar as a feature. This “coffee bar” was directly next to the open pool door. I seriously question this as being a health hazard. There was only one staff person at the desk the 2 days I was there. It was the same as when I checked in. He was not welcoming or friendly . He seemed unconcerned about my fears of the chlorine. Often there was no one at the desk. I did not eat breakfast as the breakfast area was in the same proximity as the pool. The room was fair. It was clean but the bedding was worn with some wear holes in it. The water coming from the sink had a fowl Oder. In the middle of the night the fire alarm when off. It was frightening. There were no staff telling us what do to. The elevator doors were locked due to the alarm and there were two elder people in wheelchairs who were unable to get down the stairs. A family member of theirs went down the stairs to get help. When I got to the lobby guests were standing around asking questions. Again, the same one staff member was telling us that the fire department was coming.

Poorly maintained property. Arrived to check in - almost non verbal registration. The elevator up to room was dirty with a sticky floor and liquid/food on floor. Walked into room immediately notice broken leg on table. "Leather" couch was badly damaged and stained. The carpet seemed dirty or at least old and worn. The furniture was well worn and damages in spots. The sheets appeared clean but old. Very minimum outlets. No USB ports. Minimal lighting. Bathroom small and worn. Broken and missing shampoo bottle (only conditioner) and empty body lotion wall container. Provides 2 round small bars of soap. Shower head poor condition and leaked. The room immediately above ours had banshees in it- screaming, jumping, disturbing the peace. The room phone did not work so I had to call front desk from my cell phone. Nothing was done about the room above even after I called desk. It was too late and we were exhausted or I would've walked out and demanded my money back. A positive - hot breakfast provided. Was "average" but better than the rest of stay. Cost me almost $200. Maybe was worth $75/night.
