Super 8 by Wyndham Hill City/Mt Rushmore/ Area

The staff were very pleasant & accommodating. The elevator was a bonus & I was happy to have a trolley to load our heavy luggage. Pool & hot tub appeared clean. The room was a good size & bed was comfortable in spite of needing updating. The recliner chair was difficult to get out of because the foot would not close easily. The shower nozzle is low; I’m 5’7” & had to lean back to shampoo. Not certain why, but hot water isn’t on demand during all hours. The heater/air-con works very well. Hill City lives up to its name in the parking lot as it is quite an incline & can be a challenge for people with limited mobility. We didn’t eat the limited breakfast items, but basic fare of toast, cereal, pancakes, hard boiled eggs, yogurt & donuts were available. Overall our stay was okay but not up to our best expectations.

Rooms and grounds were clean and well kept. Staff was kinda weird, not super friendly and just odd. But would stay here again.

Bed was lumpy and well worn. Room was clean. Shower was slick in tub. I used a bath matt that I bring along for this occasion.
