The fireplace in our original booking was not working, maintenance was sent immediately to assist. They could not get it working. The staff at the lodge gave us an upgrade to a better room with a working fireplace. Excellent customer service!

Convenient lodging near Mount Rushmore and Keystone. Clean and spacious rooms. Enjoyed the coffee and ice cream shops on the campground site.

Great place for a family to take a breather from a long road trip. Wish we could have stayed 3 nights instead of 2. Dinner at the restaurant was delightful sitting on the porch with a beautiful view of the mountains and a guitar player strumming at the cafe below was perfect. Fridge was separate freezer was very useful in the cabin. breakfast was fast and convenient. Mini golf needs an upgrade by all the other play zone facilities were nice and clean.

We had a great stay! Such a great place to stay for families! So many kids, so many activities. We stayed in the row cabin and it was great for 2 adults and 2 kids. It was clean and had everything we needed. As a heads up, there is little to no cell service or WiFi in a lot of areas, BUT you’re in the hills, so to me, that is to be expected and disconnecting was nice for all of us. We used both pools which were clean and nice, they were busy at times but it was in the 90s all weekend. We played multiple rounds of mini golf, enjoyed the glow stick party and movie night. Our son joined in multiple games of sand volleyball. So many fun activities. We had breakfast at the Prospectors Tent which was affordable, fast and delicious! We had multiple suppers at The Peak Grill and tried different things each time and all enjoyed our meals. We enjoyed ice cream at Turtle Town and coffee at Grapes and Grinds. The kids loved shopping for souvenirs at the stores. It’s a great location and easy to get around to see other areas of the Black Hills. All in all, it was a great trip and we’d love to come back!
