Sheraton Sioux Falls Hotel & Convention Center

The renovations should be listed before booking, we couldn’t stay or relax in the hotel at all during the day because it was constant banging and noise. It was very frustrating and I spent way more On this hotel because in the past we loved it so I thought it would be worth the extra but now I’m very disappointed in my stay and wish I would have stayed elsewhere. I ended up spending so much more money just to stay there only to also spend more needing to get out of the hotel all day.

Facility was clean, registration staff were helpful and nice. Will definitely stay again.

We arrived at 5 pm, 2 hours after check-in. We were told our room was not ready and it was unknown how long it would take. We were offered a double bed room in place of our king if we didn't want to wait. We elected to wait for the king and were told we'd be notified when it was ready. After 30 minutes no one had said anything so I checked back and was told our room was ready. When we got to the room it was a double room so we went back to the desk to clarify. At this time, we spoke with someone who was much more helpful and stated they did not know when the king would be available but that we could take the double at a discounted rate. We were going to take the double, now that a discount was offered, but a king became available suddenly. I understand that mistakes happen, but this was the worst check-in experience I've had at a hotel. At the very least, I would have expected the discount offered initially or more information provided. I would also understand this happening right at check in time but 2 hours past our check in seemed unreasonable. Finally, the only excuse I was given was that there were many people checking in for the concert and they "arrived around noon". The lobby bar was nice despite a very limited food menu. The rest of the hotel was fine as well, but this check in experience would make me seriously question staying here again.

Great atmosphere and location if you are attending an event at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
