Baymont by Wyndham Chattanooga – Hamilton Place

Conveniently located off Interstate 75 and 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga this former Baymont has been remodeled and rebranded as the SerenityStay Chattanooga Hamilton Place. Economy level motel that offers king suites, outdoor seasonal pool, continental breakfast and pet friendly. Our room was reasonable size with king bed, flat screen tv, mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Bathroom offered a walk-in shower with rain shower head, shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers. Additional services come in a small convenience store, washer/dryer and ice machine. Pet areas are nearly nonexistent with two tiny areas of wood chips, landscaping rocks and empty poo bag dispensers. Did also note an used needle in the grass. Face cloth and bath towel smelled clean but were clearly stained. Front desk was accommodating and exchanged them when we asked. Ankit was manning the front desk at check-in and he was personable and knowledgeable. Continental breakfast was nothing to brag about. When we arrived at 8am the only hot items were a couple of egg patties, biscuits and gravy and make your own pancakes. Besides that, one had the choice of 3 cold cereals, a bowl of apples and oranges, bagels and packaged muffins, small cups of yogurt, juice and coffee. No meat option and plates were out so we ate our waffles in a bowl. Parking was well lit, with a lot of cameras and a police patrol car did pass through the back lot when I was walking the dogs.

I was blown away by how nice this place is, especially given the low price. A lot of care has gone into updating this property, and it really shows. There are new bathrooms and bed linens in the rooms, and the pool is sparkling clean. They also offer hot breakfast, which is much nicer than I’ve found at other hotels around the same price point. There are also laundry machines available for guest use.

Room was clean and everything was working as expected. Person at check in was personable and friendly. Felt safe. Breakfast was the usual breakfast at most hotels, but no complaints. Only concern was that it is pet friendly but not much area to walk your dog. Pricing was decent. I would use this hotel again.

The floors in the room was dirty. The pool has bugs floating everywhere. Both days we were there the fire department came because the alarm went off both days

Clean, quiet, comfy beds and pillows, safe area, kind staff, nice pool, microwave, fridge, AC all worked and were clean, soap, shampoo, conditioner were provided, nice shower fixture, hot shower, smoking and non smoking rooms and I’m a smoker and didn’t smell the smoke smell upon entering my room, so I could tell it was cleaned and freshened. Smart TV, USB ports… nothing but positive things to say. (I didn’t have breakfast but they do have breakfast in the lobby/dining area, which is very nice and clean). This is my second time staying and I’ll be back. Excellent hotel, accommodations, and kind staff who all do a great job.

We had car trouble so we stopped in Chattanooga to take the car to the dealership. We chose Serenity Stay because they had a pool, great rates, newly renovated rooms and are pet friendly. The rooms are very clean and their pool area is very inviting looking. We ended up there for for 5 nights and would definitely stay there again! The staff was very courteous and welcoming. And there is plenty of restaurants that are walkable, as well as a grocery store.

It was overall a clean, nice, and well managed place other than there was no hand soap at the sink, only one roll of toilet paper, the room had an odor and the pool sign stated it was open until 10:00 PM, but they run us out at 9:00 🤔

For the positive- the staff was friendly, they had a hot buffet breakfast. For the negative- the floor in the shower was very dirty, the shower gel dispenser kept falling of the wall when we used it. There was no courtesy bar of soap to use at the sink so we had to use the shower gel in the shower which…. Kept falling off the wall. The toilet seat was missing one of the mounting bolts and needed to be fixed. The floor looked clean until we found a Halls cough lozenge stuck on the floor. The price was great but you get what you pay for.

There were roaches in the room, so they moved us to another room. But the breakfast was okay.

This place was ok for a cheap, one night stay as part of a long road trip, wouldn’t recommend really unless you have little money or aren’t very picky about cleanliness or amenities. There were cobwebs in our room, the remote for the TV didn’t work, and the soap dispenser was broken in the shower. They were also rusted slightly. Pretty loud around the property when we were there and not very clean in the breezeway’s and such. Friendly staff though!

You can tell the place was recently updated. Nice furniture and shower, cute design. Breakfast was good! However, the room was poorly cleaned. There was a clump of cobwebs in one corner with dead bugs in it, a used q-tip in the floor, the floor felt sticky. I wouldn’t stay there again due to that.

This is an older hotel that has been remodeled. The gentleman at check-in was very friendly. It made that experience easy. However, when we got to the room, we noticed makeup on the comforter of one of the beds because we were so tired, we just didn't use the comforter on that bed. It looks as though the comforters themselves aren't cleaned very often. They definitely need to do better with cleaning of bed linens. Having said that, everything else seemed clean. The shower stall had been, recently renovated and was very nice.

The rooms and hallways need a major deep cleaning, will not stay again

I have stayed at many hotels and this one is the worst i have ever been to. The reviews are pretty misleading At check in the black guy at front desk was pretry rude to me and pointed his finger to the other side of the front desk that i should be standing for check in like i was his pet. And never said any thing about serving breakfast or its timming. The hallways are very dirty and when i got into my room i noticed that the floor was dirty and the bed was hard like a brick . I mean who can sleep on this kind of bed . The towels were dirty and had hair on them. The Ac was making loud noise which didn't let me sleep all night . Since i drove for 10 hours and wanted to relax a little so i decided to watch some TV . Well there was no TV remote in the room. When i called front desk the same guy who checked me in as me to come down to the front desk and take another remote . I mean who does that ?? And still the second remote didn't work. The breakfast is a joke . I didn't knew about it and since i was checking out ealry i noticed some people are having breakfast . There is barely any space for people to sit there . There was nothing available for breakfast except some packed muffins and and they would not refill. The only thing they refilled was apple joice which you get for a dollar . The owner was there and he tried to cut every corner to save a dime. Btw you only get one cup in the room. Its your coffee and everything cup . If you have another person bring your cup.

What a nightmare! The first room we were given smelt like urine. It was so strong we asked to be changed. The front desk man was kind and moved us. The second room smelt like cigarette even though we’d booked a non-smoking one. The management will answer to this message saying, “This is certainly not the level of service we strive for, and I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience and discomfort it caused you.” The truth is they are already aware of these conditions. On June 1, Matthew wrote, “Room smelt like cigarettes the entire time even though we reserved a non-smoking one.” On May 30, Paula wrote, “Room smelled smoky, musty and dirty.” On May 18, Jose wrote, “Whatever it happened I don’t know how I finished with a stinky smoking room.” On March 30, another traveler wrote, “The room had a weird smell (like human urine).” Management doesn’t care about the service they provide. Before leaving, another guest asked me if my room also smelt like mildew. It seems many rooms have this problem. Do yourselves a favor and find another place. I’m never ever coming back!

Great shower. Breakfast ok. Room had peculiar somewhat overpowering smell. I was bitten pretty bad by bed bugs or fleas or something. Will not return nor recommend.

Nice clean room for a quick overnight on our way to Florida. Nice shower and modern conveniences. Bed could be a little softer. Breakfast was excellent!

The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing! Check in was later than 3:00 due to rooms not being ready, but the room was very clean when we were able to check in.

Staff at late check in was very friendly and personable. Room was all we needed, bathroom was super updated with the best shower I’ve ever had. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with a nice assortment.

There is a gap under the door that needs to be fixed. I was in room 104.

It’s in a safe area, surrounded by tons of restaurants and stores, all within walking distance. Rooms are clean, the beds & pillows are comfy, the TV is great (Smart TV with apps), the hot water & pressure are perfect, the shower head is wonderful & the complementary soap, lotion, shampoo, & conditioner smell so good. There’s a microwave & a small refrigerator in each room, lots of plugs & USB ports all over room, iron/ironing board, & you can choose from smoking & non-smoking rooms. (For the non smokers, don’t worry!! The hotel does NOT reek of cigarette smoke!) I’m a smoker so trying to find a smoking hotel that isn’t filthy & scary isn’t easy! Am very glad I found this place last year! I’ve only had the breakfast once in the several times that I’ve stayed there, but it was good. They had cereal of course, I think they had a waffle iron. I had the yummy biscuits & gravy, eggs, bacon, which was good. The staff is always very accommodating & friendly, very helpful & kind. I’ve only spoken to the woman that works in the morning at the front desk… like, I've literally only spoken to her on the phone a few times, (never actually met her face to face), but she is the SWEETEST woman & does an amazing job at making sure that everyone is taken care of & the hotel is running smoothly, etc. I wish I knew her name! Anyway, she’s amazing! Thanks for another great stay!

The bed squeaked really loud every time you’d move. It was also a little sinking.

Check-in was wonderful! Greeted very nicely. Front desk is very knowledgeable of the area and hotel amenities. The new Beignets and Brew next door is very convenient and very tasty! Only complaint being the door of our room wasn’t sealed very well, light was peeking through into the room and we could hear most of what was going on outside. Other than that, the stay was wonderful. Spacious bathrooms (the shower head was loose though), comfy king sized bed, good location.

The room did not smell great but the biggest issue was you could hear every step of the room above us & it sounded like they were moving furniture around all night.

Comfortable bed, clean room, nice shower. Noisy throughout the night until past 5 in the morning. TV on loud in another room, people talking in the breeze way completely disrupted my sleep.

Great front desk service from the gentleman

We did a last minute booking and by far this has been the best check-in process I've experienced. The concierge was very helpful and personable. The breakfast was also good and they had my favorite, bacon & waffles! 10/10 would recommend.

This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had. I booked 5 rooms for myself and others. The 2 couples that should have had king size beds waited over 3 hours for a room well after check in time because the rooms weren't ready. Then they didn't even get king beds, they got two double beds. I admittedly made a mistake and booked the other 3 rooms as smoking rooms. Instead of accommodating those people and switching them to non smoking rooms I had to cancel those room and pay an additional $30 for non smoking rooms. Only to have 1 of them be a smoking room anyway. The person at the front desk when all this was going on was absolutely a nightmare.

Always easy check in, great location and the staff is very helpful

It was a little tricky to find at first but there was good parking around the back. We had a clean room and very good ac. The bathroom was honestly nicer than many condos I have stayed at. There was some noise at night from other rooms but nothing unbearable. Very polite staff and the breakfast was pretty good as well.

Clean, safe and close to the airport

The hotel was great for the price. The location was all also good.

Pretty clean room. Great shower and water pressure. Surrounding area is a little worrisome. Cops were next door surrounding someone at a gas station. Probably would think twice about staying.

The hotel is located among a number of other hotels in the Hamilton Place area. Parking entrance to the hotel is a bit odd as you have to pass by another hotel to get to Serenity Stay. Hotel has been renovated recently and they did a great job! Shower was great as was the sink. Good space and layout of the hotel room. Bed comfortable. No closet but a place to hang a few clothes. Breakfast options were fair. Overall, good value and would consider staying there again.

Clean and convenient to downtown Chattanooga!

Good location, feels safe, clean/modern.

The room smelled so bad I had leave the hotel. When I checked in I ask if there was anywhere close to eat, the desk person told me it was not the area to walk around in at night.

We were skeptical because of the other reviews but listen you’re not gonna get Hampton rooms at best western prices. This place was budget friendly and was actually super nice the staff was friendly. I would stay here again.

The room was perfect,......updated, clean, well stocked very comfortable bed, nice shower. The staff weren't bad, just not overly friendly. Had a great hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, bis & gravy & more but wasn't being well attended, had to look for someone to refill certain items. That was my only complaint. Room was excellent!!!!

The front desk workers at Serenity Stay were very courteous and warm. The room he assigned us was already occupied, but he offered us a comparable room. The room itself was quite clean and I liked the modern decor. Some areas of the property were not as picked up. Breakfast buffet had a lot of choices, but the food was not very hot and the toaster was not heating enough to toast.

Room was clean, staff friendly and the breakfast had standard carb choices but also had sausage patties and eggs (well sort of…fake egg disks)

Lots of traffic noise coming in especially at night, so the room athmosphere wasn't very soothing. Breakfast was good and had a good variety.
