No elevator. 2 sets of stairs. Advised to take the far ones as others unsafe d/T wet from the pool traffic. Appreciate the safety but longer walk to stairs then travel back to get to room. Nice room. New queen beds.

We’ve stayed here before. Again, the pool was “under maintenance” and not open. Our bed was hard. The bathroom door stuck at the bottom and was difficult to open. The bathtub dripped the whole time.

Several concerns were the door going outside did not lock while the security lock to the pool inside did. The railing for the stairs outside leading to the parking lot was loose and unsafe to use. The parking lot was full of areas where the asphalt was broken and could be difficult for someone with limited mobility to walk safely.

The rooms were both dirty. We took a clean, white towel and wiped the tub, it was filthy in BOTH rooms. The fire detector was hanging by the wires in one room. There was a hole in the wall by the door. “Non-Smoking” Room still smelled like smoke… When you go to a Hotel, it should smell and feel clean. I know a Red Roof Inn isn’t a Hilton….but come on guys.

I’m not generally picky, and I don’t expect much at this price. I just want somewhere clean and quiet to sleep. There was a problem at checkin, but I don’t know if that was the hotel or Expedia. The room was decent and appeared clean, but the wet washcloths left on the bathroom counter suggested otherwise. Quiet, it was not. I was kept awake for a while by an odd clackety clack noise which I finally identified as the refrigerator. I ended up unplugging it, thus rendering useless that particular amenity. I was then awakened at 6 am by the extreme morning people above me stomping around like a herd of elephants. What made it worse was they apparently had a couple of rugrats entertaining themselves by racing back and forth across the room. Not sure how they accomplished that, as the rooms aren’t that big, but the pace of the thump thump thump thump thump indicated a faster than normal gait. Not long after they departed I was awakened again by a family screaming at each other in the parking lot for 20 minutes in Spanish. And then there was the sound of various electric tools and hammering. I applaud a hotel that spends money on renovations, but it would be nice if the work did not begin until after check out to avoid disturbing their guests. I do realize the disturbances caused by the guests themselves were not in the hotel’s direct control, but it speaks to the quality of the structure of the hotel. Perhaps the renovations will improve upon that, but I would not stay here again.

As a husband traveling alone for one night, the hotel was sufficient for me, but I wouldn't have felt comfortable taking my wife (or smaller children) there. The staff was kind. I checked in one hour early with no problem, and I checked out early Saturday morning with ease. The building was aged, but in decent shape. The area around the property was less than desirable, though. The room was small, but clean. I appreciated the laminate floors, and the decor was simple and functional. The bathroom and sink were extremely small, though. Parking was a little tight, but that depends on when you get there. There was some trash in the hall - some type of paper that looked like a child had torn it up as he / she ran down the hall. I could hear the TV from the room across the hall as I approached my room, but once I was in the room, the noise level was negligible. Overall, I would stay again if I was traveling alone and there were no other hotels available in the price range, but if given a different hotel at a similar price, I would most likely choose the other hotel.

The person who check us in was rude and it seemed like she was intentionally going as slow as she could. The room was disgusting, my comforter had cigarette burn holes. The floor was absolutely filthy. I had to use a towel to wipe my feet off before getting in the bed. The sink didn’t drain. There were what looked like blood stains on the wash cloths. The hallway carpet was so gross. The pool was cloudy. Not a great experience for us.

Stayed here as part of a roadtrip back home from spring break. You can tell the rooms have been updated and seemed fine. Some of the sheets had light staining but didn’t seem actually dirty. The pool was nice in that it was indoors and heated; however there were tons of people in it so the water was murky. There isn’t much seating by the pool. The first floor rooms have to walk outside to get to the main lobby to access the pool. Overall fine for a single overnight and would be much better with fewer people in the pool. Didn’t partake in the breakfast and opted for Waffle House next door.

The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. We were troubled by the loose toilet which seemed to smell. The worst part was the morning shower we couldn't get hot water. The water only heated to lukewarm, not warm enough to be comfortable.

For what we paid, the room wasn't too bad. My biggest complaint is that the water in the shower never got hot. In fact, it couldn't even be called warm. Also, it was advertised as having a hairdryer...apparently, that was either false, or a previous guest took it with them when they left. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It served the purpose that we needed it to serve.Our first morning, housekeping tried to come in while I was in the shower! My husband asked them to come back in an hour. They would only agree to waiting 30 minutes, so I had to rush to get ready for the day.

Bed was a metal frame and made thumping noises when you got in and out. The rooms very poorly designed and you could hear people walking above for most of the night. In my opinion was definitely not worth what we were charged. Will not stay there again.

I called ahead to notify the hotel that we would be a late arrival. Upon check in, the concierge was incredibly rude. I was friendly and making small talk regarding us calling ahead about the reservation. He proceeded to tell me that if I stopped talking he could check me in faster in a rude manner. I’m sorry I’ve worked in customer service for many years and travel often and never once had such a terrible experience. If you don’t enjoy interacting with other people do not work a customer service based job. The location was convenient for lookout mountain and wasn’t far from our activities. The facility is outdated and small. The parking lot needs to be repaved and is confusing. Rooms you could tell we barely cleaned. We also asked for an hour extension for a late checkout, which was approved, and both cleaning staff and front desk personnel proceeded to remind us more than a few times that check out was at 11 so that we would leave. I am disappointed in this booking and would not recommend.

Checking in the front desk staff was rude, short with customers. I was not expecting a $100.00 deposit. When our room keys didn't work the lady at the front deak acted as if i inconvenienced her wat hing her young children. Then asked if i knew to wait for the click before trying to open the door. She was not happy about recoding our keys, which still dont qork right and it takes at least 5 minutes to get in our room everytime we try to enter it.

Unexpected $100 deposit at check-in. I needed to go to Chattanooga regarding a family issue for one night. I chose Red Roof for the value price. I had to klarna the room due to being currently in a tight spot. You know nothing about an additional deposit at check-in until you get there at 4:00 and it is too late to cancel. Cash or credit. I used my debit. I got nervous later because I started reading the Google reviews and a lot of people complained about not getting their deposit back. I discovered a hole in the backside of the bathroom door later in the evening and it worried me they might think it was me. I left the room super clean. Checked out at 9:00 and asked about deposit. He said it was processed after they had checked my room after 11:00. I did get my deposit back after 5 days..The whole thing just stressed me. For this I will not stay here next time. A lot of people complained of roaches but I did not see any. Pro: I found the room clean. Air conditioner worked well. The people seemed nice. Waffle House is literally a couple steps next door. Cracker Barrel a short walk. Free breakfast is typical Continental with warm eggs and sausage.

When I went to rent a room I wasn't concerned about my situation. I knew they at least had an elevator. But when we get there and go to check in the lady puts us in the whole total different building in the back. No elevator. I panicked. Once we got around to the room of course there was a luxurious staircase. Now mind you I am 4 weeks out of a complete hip replacement. I knew steps were no no. So I got our stuff together went up there and spent the night. The next day we get up to leave and someone called from the hotel asking if we were going to stay another night and if we wanted a ground room. We took the ground room and moved in once we got back from our day trip. It was very thoughtful of the person who called and I want to thank them. It was my birthday weekend and we had a great time. Thank you

It was a decent place to lay our heads. I did have an issue with the deposit situation. We were charged $100 on top of our room price, which we were fine with. But we’re told we would get refunded the $100 when checking out. Checking out we were told it would take up to 3 days to get our refund AND I see an ADDITIONAL $100 deposit charged to my account the day of check out. I better see a $200 deposit refund coming my way very soon or I will be raising hell. We left that room as we found it, minus an unmade bed, and are not smokers. Because of this, I am lowering my rating.

Had to give $100.00 cash deposit on room at check in that wasn’t disclosed on Expedia. I had already prepaid and she sets out this sign in front of me about the 100.00. I did get it back after my room was “inspected” at checkout, but that kind of stuff needs to be disclosed during booking. Amenities were 2 small bars of soap, a small shampoo for 1 person. No microwave. Location was great. Waffle House on one side, Cracker Barrel on the other. Pet friendly.

Ok this was a one night not planned trip decided to stay over night. We have stayed here before that's why we picked it the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable only complaint was the drug use in parking lot we moved out car so we could see it better but the ceilings in bathroom and hallways were peeling just needs to be maintained and touched up but the stay was good maybe police driving thru parking lot would help with the outside issues but overall the stay was good

Most of our stay was good. Thankfully we were split between 2 rooms because room 106 didn't even have enough water pressure to operate the shower and the toilet struggled to flush. When reported, we were just told there was no where close they could move us. No other assistance was offered. But the pool was decent, the beds were comfy. No coffee maker and they no longer offer breakfast.

This is an older property and it shows. The hallway carpet had seen better days but the room was clean. The complimentary breakfast was better than some other hotels I have stayed in with hot sausage and eggs plus biscuits and gravy. Its not a luxury hotel but its OK.
