Staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice size and kitchen had everything. Not so great…Furniture was a little mismatched. There was a dining table but the the chairs were so low that the table came up way over your chest. Also, the toilets were super small and very low to the ground. Nothing to grab onto to help pull you up. Balcony was huge, however across the way there was a bar/restaurant that had some the brightest lights. Hard to sit out on the balcony and just enjoy the beach when those lights are blinding you. The big pluses were the swimming pool and hot tub. Super excited to find the pool was heated!!! Overall, visit was good!

Great location just a short walk to the beach and to the Tipsy Turtle next door. Pool and Hottub great and cleaned daily. Only thing is that the pool area doesn't open until 10am. Only one elevator working. NONE of the housekeeping staff speaks English and is pretty rude.

Everyone was complaining that the ice machine never had ice even fist thing in the morning which we all depended on it. So convenient to have onsite but not producing but a small amount of ice was an issue.

Love that it was on the beach, literally. Check in was long and drawn out. Hotel was good, plenty of towels and convenient washer and dryer for room. Pool was good, walkways were good, not easy for wheelchairs and electric scooters. One elevator and heavy doors.

We had a great time at the resort. A transformer blew out during our stay, so the elevators went out, but we still had power to our room. We just had to use the stairs that was somewhat inconvenient. Our room was beautiful and comfortable.

I was able to see the ocean, great pool area, short walk distance to the beach, excellent cabana, free laundry, I wold go back there any time with confidence.

Overall this was a very good experience. Hotel was clean and the maintenance staff was also working hard. All the staff was helpful and friendly. For an older property I would say they have maintained it well, especially with the challenges of being right on the beach. We went on an off-peak period so the resort was not crowded and everyone we encountered was friendly older couples mostly during this time. We will be going back soon.

The pictures on the site are not what you are going to get. Our suite the dishwasher did not work had dirty dishes from previous guess still in it smelled like spoiled milk. The bed was so old that you felt everything. The overall feeling was outdated and needed a good cleaning. This place will also try and get you to do a time share meeting when you check in and when you say no, they get upset and continue to push until you say yes. Then charge you a fee if you don't go to the time share meeting.

Excellent front staff. Layout of suite was nice. Room was not clean. Dust, dirt, grime. Common areas were dirty. Noisy A/C. Paper thin walls. Some maintenance due. Slider doors sticking. Shower door not latching. Lots of potential in the property. Just lacking the details ... and perhaps the investment to make this a place I could recommend in the future.

This is our 3rd stay here and I won’t stay anywhere else. I love this property. The staff is fantastic, the rooms are clean, it’s right on the beach, and we can walk to the tipsy turtle!

This was my absolute favorite place that I have stayed in in Galveston the beach access was private so it wasn't crowded even though it was Jeep weekend. Everything about the hotel and the stay was excellent I would have given it five stars across the board but there was some sand grit on the floor, not a lot but enough for me to be grossed out being Barefoot but I'm also very particular. The major thing however is that there's no rooms with two beds, and the sofa bed was not fit for an adult, and honestly not even fit for a child. It was slanted so badly and so lumpy and so short that an adult could not lay on it and I'm only 5'3". Also, I don't know if the bed was broken or what the deal was, we even used couch cushions underneath the foot of it to try to make it level and it still did not help. We will definitely be staying here again but I will be bringing an air mattress instead of using the sofa bed because it was absolutely horrendous. However everything else about the hotel was five stars. Which is why we will be going back and it's worth it bringing an air mattress.

The property was beautiful, and the rooms were very nice and clean with the exception of the fact that the dirty bedding from the guest prior to us was balled up on top of the bed when we arrived. We notified the front desk and they sent someone up immediately to gather the dirty linens, and drop off new linens.

Nice spacious room, w/ Balcony, It was a fully stocked 1 Bedroom 1 bath apartment, fully stocked with everything needed in all rooms and drawers full of utensils, fridge, washer & dryer, all soaps and shampoo's in shower, bath towels and beach/pool towels, dishwasher, tub w/ spa, all soaps in bath sink......etc........only thing that was bad and I heard other complaining, is the pull out couch bed is like sleeping on bare railroad tracks.

So the location is good if you would like a less touristy spot. You do NOT have to walk across a street to get to the beach as it has direct beach access. The rooms were fine I guess altho2 were e4 ugh we had to move rooms because of some noise in the rooms overnight causing us not to be sble to sleep. Rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful in relocating us to a better room. Probably the biggest drawback is if you are a light sleeper this place is very noisy with the plumbing and hvac systems. I stared at the ceiling the first night because something was turning on and off and it wasnt the air conditoning...we never could figure it out,same in the next room we had but not as loud. Overall its a few minutes drive from the busy side of galveston and the beach was great with minimal people.

Furniture is old and bed lumpy! I think I booked on the wrong Holiday Inn. Wanting more of hotel atmosphere with bar in location! The near by bar was closed ! We stayed one night.

If you want to stay in a hotel by the beach it's all you need. Book a hotel here and only 2 minutes walking you could have beautiful warm salty water for yourself. Our room was clean and nice with a bedroom, separate living room + kitchen, and balcony. We loved it. Definitely, we will come back again at this hotel.

I was so pleasantly surprised about this property! I think of Holiday Inn as a lower budget hotel, but this property is amazing. The staff were so friendly, and check in was a breeze. Our room was so nice, and the hotel is right on the beach so you can walk right out to it. Beautiful pool. It's a bit far down from the downtown Galveston area, but that's only about a 10 minute drive. Highly recommend.

The place is nice, but I just didn’t like how they tried to trick us into attending a time share meeting. When we checked in, they asked us if we are related to the owners of the hotel because there’s a note saying we are entitled to a lot of perks. They went on and on about these perks, and the clincher was we had to go to a venue 8 miles away and attend a sales pitch meeting. Yes, all these happened during our check-in when all you wanted to do was get to your room and rest up

Great suite. The only problem was a big one. We got in after the office closed. I had called beforehand to let them know. They said to simply pick up the phone next to the office & the Security would answer & let us in. Well, THEIR PHONE DOESNT WORK!!! The security happened to see us & we finally got in. Security said she’s told the office several times & they won’t fix it!

The hotel was amazing. But the best part of our stay was that the staff made us feel like family. We have found our home away from home, when we vacation in Galveston Tx. Thank you for the amazing experience.

The pictures on the site are not what you are going to get. Our suite the dishwasher did not work had dirty dishes from previous guess still in it smelled like spoiled milk. The bed was so old that you felt everything. The overall feeling was outdated and needed a good cleaning. This place will also try and get you to do a time share meeting when you check in and when you say no, they get upset and continue to push until you say yes. Then charge you a fee if you don't go to the time share meeting.

Beach front . Staff looking to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Had a issue with the bath tub. They came to address the situation in less than 10 minutes. Worked over an hour to resolve the problem at 10:30 pm. Were unable to reslove that night, but worked with our schedule the next day to repair as soon as possible. Problem was resolved by 9:00 am . In my opinion you cant ask for more than that. Awesome customer service. Thanks to everyone from reception to maintenance for making our stay at the beach awesome!

My niece and I stayed in a suite at the property further down the Seawall road (didn’t realize it was that location). Our room was clean, and pool was nice. Access to the beach was convenient. What we immediately didn’t like was the heavy hitting, almost deceptive sales pitch to listen to another sales pitch. We were tired from the drive, and ready to get in our room.

It started with the registration staff that was professional and friendly. Then the maintenance staff fixed a problem with the kitchen sink. They were johnny on the spot, fixed it, and were very personable. Several times the staff checked on how our stay was going. That was a nice touch!

I was so pleasantly surprised about this property! I think of Holiday Inn as a lower budget hotel, but this property is amazing. The staff were so friendly, and check in was a breeze. Our room was so nice, and the hotel is right on the beach so you can walk right out to it. Beautiful pool. It's a bit far down from the downtown Galveston area, but that's only about a 10 minute drive. Highly recommend.

Place is a little dated but well maintained and it’s on the beach. You don’t have to cross the seawall to get to the beach which is great for kids. There is no restaurant there is no bar there. It is closed it’s next-door. You have to go up the road, so bring what you wanna drink and bring what you wanna eat and just settle in and enjoy

Great location just a short walk to the beach and to the Tipsy Turtle next door. Pool and Hottub great and cleaned daily. Only thing is that the pool area doesn't open until 10am. Only one elevator working. NONE of the housekeeping staff speaks English and is pretty rude.

The staff was VERY welcoming & helpful throughout my entire stay. The resort is older, and there is no restaurant and/or bar/lounge onsite. Great for families & retirees who are looking for a quiet vacation .

Overall ok. I haven’t stayed at a lot of places in this vicinity so have no comparison. It’s definitely convenient for summers to have a place so close to the beach. Part I didn’t like was absence of vending machines and no nearby places to purchase anything. It is quiet and the staff is nice and helpful. However there’s no dining and since there’s no restaurants at a walking distance it may be inconvenient for my future visits. If you like the idea of staying at an apartment like place with a kitchen it may be perfect!

This is our 3rd stay here and I won’t stay anywhere else. I love this property. The staff is fantastic, the rooms are clean, it’s right on the beach, and we can walk to the tipsy turtle!
