The room itself was good. That said the ac in the exercise room was not working which made the room unusable and the tv was not working either. The biggest problem is that the hotel is by a runway and so you get a lot of plane noise night and day which makes it hard to sleep.

The facility had no working amenities, pool was green with one of the lights floating in it. The continental breakfast was lacking to say the least. The whole place looked dirty and run down, and they charged a $60 deposit for each room. There wasn’t $60 worth of anything in those rooms, they had three of the smallest pillows on the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever laid on, the tv remote literally had duct tape on it holding it together, the water temperature and pressure was terrible, and the AC barely cooled down the room to a tolerable temperature.

I wasn't picked up from the airport because I couldn't reach out to the hotel. Upon arrival front desk informs me their system is down and that's the reason why their phone didn't work. It took more than an hour to have me checked in (while tired, hungry and in need of a good sleep). I wanted to get a soda from the machine... Card reader doesn't work. Carried my bag upstairs because the elevator doesn't work. No complains about the room though (it could use a couple light bulbs to be replaced and a lamp to be fixed but that's about it.

The price for the room was about 1/2 that of other hotels in the area and you do get what you pay for. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No minifridge or coffee maker in room however, there is a microwave and fresh hot coffee all the time in the lobby. The pool was slightly cloudy on day one. By the 4th day it was completely green. There is a light continental breakfast available. One ice machine on the second floor along with inexpensive washers and dryers. Overall, I would recommend if you're traveling on a budget.

Although staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, property needs serious maintenance. Television only got 1 channel, no coffee maker in-room, the only ice maker was non-functioning. Afternoon airport shuttle not available till 3:00 pm. Beds were pretty comfortable and room was small but clean. If we stayed overnight in Houston again, we’d probably book elsewhere.

Super basic hotel. Our room was clean, but offered no amenities. No coffee pot, or iron, just an office chair and bed. The hotel overall needs repairs, carpet is dirty, walls need painting. The workout room is a joke. Broken machines that don’t work. Elliptical fell apart while I was on it. Treadmill doesn’t work. Breakfast was just about the least amount of offerings I e ever seen. The shuttle to the airport did work out well for us.

Booked as the airport shuttle is included. However they never picked up the phone, so had to pay a taxi myself. When complaining about this at check-in, they just said the airport shuttle service is not guaranteed.. so next time I will go for another place and better pay some bucks more to gets the service as advertised when making a booking.

Shuttle never came to the airport. Staff was rude. Elevator was broken. Complimentary breakfast for the entire hotel was three baby muffins - five pieces of fruit and 3 yogurts. Basically if you just want a place to sleep this is it - also tv did not work.

This place was awful! From the minute i walked in i noticed it was dayed, and paint peeling from recepton. In the room, the beds were really hard. In the bathroom, a towel holder was being held up with scotch tape and the best thing...roaches in the room!! The whole place need a makeover amd to be treated for pests.

The place looks run down and unclean. Elevator was broken but that was not a big deal as we were on the 2nd floor. The major turnoff were all the cockroaches that were in the room. On the nightstands, inside the fridge, by the tv and in the bathroom. Luckily we did not spend enough time in the room to notice it until our last night there. We sucked it up and stuck the last night through but definitely would not stay here again. Beware of cockroaches people.

I did not stay at the green tree as soon as I got to my room and saw the unsanitary and unclean conditions and damages to the room. I could not stay there. I immediately checked out, requested a refund, which has to go through the manager apparently.

When we got to the room I went to use the bathroom and there was crap all over the underside of the toilet seat. I went to the front desk and told them about it they said they would notify housekeeping. I left and came back a few hours later to a still dirty toilet. I went to front desk again and they said housekeeping had left already. I had them switch me rooms and the new room wasn’t any better.

The front desk clerks would hardly speak or acknowledge us, the vending machine wouldn’t accept cash or card, water fountain gave hot water, tv didn’t work, advised front desk she was of no help, we were not told that the shuttle didn’t run between midnight and 6am so we had to get an Uber, blood on walls, foul smell in room, cockroaches in bathroom, and what appeared to be some form of a pimp waiting in car outside while we were waiting for our uber. Would never recommend for anyone to stay here. Felt very unsafe and unclean

We have stayed at Greentree several times when passing through Houston, and it seems like each time it gets worse. Last time ice machine broken, this time elevator broken. Also when flipped our light switch upon entering room, nothing happened. Tge carpeting (especially on the staircase) is really gross looking. It's an inexpensive hotel, but I think it's probably worth an extra few bucks to stay somewhere else.

The upside to this hotel stay is that the Wi-Fi was very good but the downside which was a serious one for me is that they hardly had any rooms that had a bathtub which means those of us with back problems that need a hot water soak will have a problem getting a room with a bathtub. The majority of the rooms are shower only with maybe only one or two having shower tub combination and those rooms are usually occupied. If you're a person that don't mind just having a shower this would be a nice day and it's close to the airport.

Check in was odd. Since I booked with a third party (Expedia) I was not able to pay for the deposit with my card, but had to pay with cash from an ATM that was conveniently located right beside check in. I did not see this anywhere on the information page of Expedia. The transaction fee for getting the money was only $3.50, but that’s still $3.50 I shouldn’t have had to pay. Either book directly through the Greentree website OR make sure to bring $60 cash for the deposit. Other than that, the staff was friendly, room was ok for price/convenience, but it was a lot louder (plane noise) than at some of my stays in other hotels in the same vicinity.

3 lights work 5 didn't, 2 plugs works, i tried another 4 get a shock. The bed are old. The hotel is by the airport you can hear the planes till 11pm and start at 430am. The noise was so bad i thought we on the runway.

This hotel is proof that, with proper maintenance and care, a property can still be a pleasant place to stay. The staff takes good care of it. The young man who checked me in was genuinely nice and engaging. The airport shuttle was a bonus and the driver was very good.

Hotel was awesome for the price. Shuttle was worth the price alone. The breakfast was absolutely laughable and you should avoid it entirely. They had butter in a spray bottle, I never knew this existed and you shouldn’t either. There is a strip mall right behind the hotel that has all the restaurants, a bar and a liquor store. Pretty sweet!! If you need a place to sleep for the night, this hotel is worth the price with no frills.

This was a very average airport hotel. Shuttle service was very good. The property is looking tired, but was adequate for a short stay between flights. There's food within walking distance, which was nice since we had to leave before breakfast started.

The place did the job, I guess. Checking in took about 30 minutes. There was a line and the front desk person couldn’t care less. The room’s floors and shower were dirty. The shower had mold. The pool chairs were in such bad condition that one broke while I was sitting on it (I’m 135 pounds). The breakfast was barely even a breakfast. They put out a small amount of Sunny D, fruit, yogurt, and packaged muffins. I should’ve spent more money to stay at a better place. There’s a Double Tree next door.

Great price for short (overnight transit) stay - the shuttle stops at 11:30pm which I knew so took a cab - the next day, the shuttle was right on time! It helps if you know your departure terminal as IAH is huge. The “breakfast” was nothing but sugar yet the coffee was ok.

The "business center" is just a chair. No computer or printer or deak or anything. The room key stops working every day and you have to go to the front deak to get it fixes. The "continental breakfast" was pathetic. Little dollar store muffins and milk cartons and oranges. That's it. No eggs or bacon or waffles. No cereal or bagels or toast. No omelettes. No oatmeal. The whole property smells like marijuana. Poor lighting in the rooms. No safe in the rooms for valuables. The towels are super small and thin. It's luke drying yourself with a washcloth.
