The hotel is lovely. Some of the elevators weren't working, but other than that, it's very nice! The Tack Room was a highlight after a long day; their Kobe beef cheeseburger and fries were DELICIOUS!!

I was very surprised that they had underground parking. And after walking to our room, how big the hotel was. It didn’t seem that way from the outside. A very lovely and large courtyard.

Things we liked. The room was very nice and spacious. I loved the beams on the ceiling and brick on the wall, which gave the room character. The bathroom was nice and they had soft water. The courtyard was very pretty and at night reminded me of the Encanto movie. Things we didn't like. The restaurant food in the hotel was terrible and expensive. The wait staff were not very friendly. The check in process was much more complicated then it needed to be. The one lady was very rude at the counter.... she seemed to be a manager. Also, the jacuzzi was very small and full of people that never came out in over an hour of waiting. The one pool that was supposed to be heated was cold. *If you do visit here: stop in the roundabout courtyard in front of the property, check in, then you will be given a space to park under the building. ***Rating based on the hotel experience and not the food.

Property is nice, check in was slow, no ViP parking was honored or free breakfast. TV was tiny and not a smart TV with very limited cable options. TV would freeze and this was reported and they sent someone to check on this but he stated it worked fine and we just accepted that. Internet/wifi was very slow. We had constant knocks on our door from housekeeping and other workers asking if we were checking out or staying. AC worked fine initially and then on the last day there our room was very hot and uncomfortable. Fire Alarm went off at 1a and no one came to notify of anything. We woke up in such a panic and started to look around our hall and outside and didn’t see or smell anything. Called front desk and no answer. Finally was able to get through after about 15 minutes and they said they had no idea why it went off. Luckily it was just a malfunction considering it doesn’t seem there is a protocol in place. Parking is a maze..we were told to park on the lower floor and just had to follow the signs with kids and luggage in tow through the ramp up to the first floor parking and cut through the courtyard just to get to the lobby to check in. Overall I won’t stay again. On a positive note, room was nice and a good size but traveling with kids having a functional TV would have been great.

This downtown property is a great place to stay in the heart of Laredo. The parking is free and has security 24 hours. We have an EV, and they have free charging if a stall is available. This made it an even better deal! The pool is beautiful, and the staff is awesome. They go out of their way to make you feel special. Stay here every time I go to Laredo.

The staff was very courteous. There is a beautiful courtyard with a pool and patio tables and chairs. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The parking garage entrance is a little hard to find, behind the hotel, but it is secure with personnel at the entrance. There is, however, a $5/night parking charge. The only thing we found wrong with the room was tiny bugs in the lavatory in the morning and one wood roach in the bathroom, which would be expected in a historic building.

Hotel needs updating. Paint is chipped in many places; in elevators, walls leading to rooms, inside room. There was no hot water when we wanted to take a bath a night, room service was called and maintenance did arrive within 5 minutes. Maintenance checked it, left and came back and it worked. He said they turn it off shut off valve when the rooms are not being occupied. In the morning the hot water took a while to kick in as well. It was a double bed room, blanket on one bed was a little stained. It was late when we saw it so we just did not use it. When we arrived there was some sort of an event going on in front of our room so we were not able to use the pool or hot tub right in front of our room. We decided to use the one close to the office with no hot tub. We also could not use our front chairs/table because of the event. If front office knew an event was being held there and there was capacity we should have been placed in another section. The hotel did not seem fully booked. Overall I would not stay there again. The aesthetic is beautiful but it needs major updating.

Outdated room overall, from furniture to fixtures. Dirty carpet all around, parking lot overall looks abandoned and dirty. No available towels at the pool area. House keeping entered my room around 9am to attempt to clean. No offense but your front desk staff needs training on real hospitality. From language, to smiles, proactive habits, etc. frankly I felt robbed with the price I paid vs the value I received. I still never stay there again.

The room was large and clean, beds are more firm than soft but comfortable. The room had a musty, mildewy smell, but after a few hours and some lysol the room smell was tolerable but may have caused my family member's allergies to kick in. Evening front desk was nice and friendly, day staff was more matter of fact. They charge for parking and was not given a riverview as I had booked online for the following day. There is a balcony, but not a private balcony, other rooms have access to the balcony, and it wraps around the hotel, which is very nice, but again no privacy on the balcony. There are 2 pools, and that was nice, with towels available near the pool. I did not realize how deep the pool was until got in. There is only 1 section that has listed as 8 feet so if you are not looking at all sides of the pool you may end up in the deep side without knowing.

I’m honestly baffled at how this place has earned over 4 stars on Google. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that cleanliness and maintenance aren’t a priority here. We were met with visible pee stains on the sofa bed and grime in the corners of the room—hardly what you'd expect from a place claiming to be a 4-star hotel. The issues weren’t isolated to our room either. The stairwells were littered with debris, spiders were a constant unwelcome presence, and broken tiles seemed to cover every path, including the elevators. The carpets throughout were stained and tired-looking, adding to the overall feeling of neglect. The air conditioning in our room barely functioned, leaving us in discomfort for hours before it began to cool. And after giving my daughter a bath, we discovered the tub drained so slowly it took more than ten minutes to empty—clearly a plumbing issue long overdue for attention. I truly don’t understand how this hotel maintains its high rating. It feels more like a forgotten budget inn than anything deserving of 4 stars.

Great classic hotel in the heart of Laredo with easy access to the bridge. Staff are very attentive and friendly, and the grounds are lovely with the two pools. Good breakfast, rooms are a bit outdated but very comfortable beds. Overall a really pleasant stay.

I booked a 2 night stay in a larger room with river views. A/c broke during our first night. We sweat all through the night. I called the front desk, the lady that answered was not rude but showed no empathy or rapport. Just a quick "yes yes we will switch your room". We were downgraded to a smaller room for night 2. They were supposed to reimburse me for the 1st night and the downgrade of the 2nd night but since I booked through a 3rd party the reimbursement would be handled through them. Not counting on getting anything back. Overall horrible experience.

I didn't like the view of a wall, when i reserved a river view room. The complimentary breakfast was not delivered to the room. There was no drinking water available. And the cell phones will not work because you're to close to the border.

Things we liked. The room was very nice and spacious. I loved the beams on the ceiling and brick on the wall, which gave the room character. The bathroom was nice and they had soft water. The courtyard was very pretty and at night reminded me of the Encanto movie. Things we didn't like. The restaurant food in the hotel was terrible and expensive. The wait staff were not very friendly. The check in process was much more complicated then it needed to be. The one lady was very rude at the counter.... she seemed to be a manager. Also, the jacuzzi was very small and full of people that never came out in over an hour of waiting. The one pool that was supposed to be heated was cold. *If you do visit here: stop in the roundabout courtyard in front of the property, check in, then you will be given a space to park under the building. ***Rating based on the hotel experience and not the food.

Property is nice, check in was slow, no ViP parking was honored or free breakfast. TV was tiny and not a smart TV with very limited cable options. TV would freeze and this was reported and they sent someone to check on this but he stated it worked fine and we just accepted that. Internet/wifi was very slow. We had constant knocks on our door from housekeeping and other workers asking if we were checking out or staying. AC worked fine initially and then on the last day there our room was very hot and uncomfortable. Fire Alarm went off at 1a and no one came to notify of anything. We woke up in such a panic and started to look around our hall and outside and didn’t see or smell anything. Called front desk and no answer. Finally was able to get through after about 15 minutes and they said they had no idea why it went off. Luckily it was just a malfunction considering it doesn’t seem there is a protocol in place. Parking is a maze..we were told to park on the lower floor and just had to follow the signs with kids and luggage in tow through the ramp up to the first floor parking and cut through the courtyard just to get to the lobby to check in. Overall I won’t stay again. On a positive note, room was nice and a good size but traveling with kids having a functional TV would have been great.

Outdated room overall, from furniture to fixtures. Dirty carpet all around, parking lot overall looks abandoned and dirty. No available towels at the pool area. House keeping entered my room around 9am to attempt to clean. No offense but your front desk staff needs training on real hospitality. From language, to smiles, proactive habits, etc. frankly I felt robbed with the price I paid vs the value I received. I still never stay there again.

The hotel was beautiful, the whole place gave you the hacienda in a novela vibe. Just very old school Mexico, beautiful plants and flowers all around. I loved being in the heart of the historic district of Laredo.

The hotel is lovely, and the room was quite nice. It was quiet, and the staff was very friendly. The area around the hotel is a little questionable as it is on the Mexico border, and a park is located across the street where many people seemed to linger.

Growing up in Laredo, I have many memories of La Posada as a kid and I must say La Posada is Nostalgic and still has that quality of a genuine, Laredo landmark neighboring San Agustin Cathedral and Plaza. Other competitive accommodations were more expensive yet located in North Laredo and La Posada is located where Interstate 35 begins practically at the US side of the border at International Bridge 2. Barely a 9 hour stay, I wish I could have experienced their restaurants which are also some of the best of Laredo. Parking was also a breeze and secure. Staying in Laredo? La Posada is a no brainer.

I thought the hotel was great! I really enjoyed the authentic vibe the hotel had. The pool areas were nice. The lobby bar was welcoming, with awesome bartenders. Plus, I loved the upscale restaurant next door, The Tack Room. It’s a shame they talked about remodeling the bar on the Tack Room. I did like the old west theme they had going on in the bar. If they do decide to remodel it, I hope they can capture some of that old west Rio Grande vibe speakeasy aesthetic. That would be cool!

The hotels staff was very good except the kitchen manager Amber I think that was her name. Ahe was very rude since the day we got there. Got to the barand all my coworker asked for a cup of ice and she denied giving it to her as she said she only works in kitchen. On the last morning we were getting our breakfast we asked for the same breakfast we got and she said that was not able to be done as they only give one type of breakfast .when she brought me a coffe and told her i didnt want coffee and asked her for a coke she said well i will have to charge you like if i was not going to be able to pay. When i was talking to her she just turned and walked away. Will never stay there again.

Personal very confusing , They give not good direction how to get to room . Hotel over charge and not returning money back as they promised after 15 days when they say with a couple of days . They did not send confirmation of process refund. I don’t like their bad customer service

One coffee pod in room for two people. Waited until 9:00 the next morning for more coffee. Ceiling light out in the bathroom. TV was not working and it took forever to get maintenance to come fix it.
