Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lubbock, TX

Management didn't not know about their vending machines. The swimming area door was rusted closed. Had to use the outside door to go in. The hot tub didn't worked and the sauna area said "use at your own risk". The bathrooms in the swimming area were not working and no swimming towels were available. A floor boards was so loose, and we tripped on it every time we past it.

AC was out in the lobby, ice maker and elevator broken and carpet was nasty. It was very run down.

I booked for the pool and it was closed and very dirty.

For being rated a good hotel it had alot of defects. No customer rep in front desk at all times, pool was good but hot tub was out of service, walls inside pool area seemed like they were gonna fall off any minute. Room was ok, tv channels kept messing up, bed was very uncomfortable.

The place was clean and everybody was friendly unfortunately everything was broken when we got there the air conditioner in the room didn’t work. They fixed it right away, but the icemaker was broken. There were no towels in the room. The swimming pool had so much chlorine in it that we couldn’t use it for four days, and the hot tub was broken. The bathroom in the swimming pool area was out of order. The breakfast, the chafing dish was broken so the egg patties and sausage patties were cold. They had the exact same thing every day. The waffle maker was broken.

The hotel needs a lot of maintenance, elevators don’t work and ice maker machines out of order in general this hotel needs a lots of improvement

It was at least clean which is definitely a good thing! However, the elevator was out of service. The pool was out of service. So was the ice machine. And the room we stayed in had no way to turn on the shower head which I am not sure how they are even still able to rent that particular room if no one is able to bathe in it! But the gentleman at the front desk was still very kind and I know it wasn't his fault directly.

Stained sheets, stained pillows, only one towel in bathroom, no floor mats for shower in bathroom. Torn carpet, stains on all couches, electrical outlets exposed without covers. Rust on the floor in swimming pool area. Hot tub out of order, falsely advertised working on Website. Hot Tub Sign stated out of order and Manager said it broke the same day I arrived. The sign had mold spores growing on the paper, indicating the hotub was broken for longer than one day. The Manager would not respond to calls from the employee. The building was not lit up on the outside, making it feel unsafe to walk in and out at night.

The property was in very bad shape. It was dirty. The pool was green. The elevator was broken. We had no towels. The bed lines had blood on them. There were chips all over the floor. Some doors didn't have door knobs. I can't believe we paid $450 for this room. It was one of the most terrible places I've ever stayed.

The hotel room was filthy, literally dried urine all over the toilet seat, dirty floor, not vacuumed. The front desk changed our room, but the next room we got was also filthy, had a dirty toilet, no towels, unclean bathroom counters, dirty floor, carpet not vacuumed, parts of a coffee maker missing & no cups. Only thing good was the A/C & bed looked clean, though it only had a single top sheet over the mattress. Since it was late, we were tired & there was no refund, we cleaned what we could with our disinfectant wipes. So disgusting! Another couple was complaining at the same time. My husband had to go ask for towels. There was a dirty towel in the bathroom & floor tiles loose. Will never stay at any hotel with Radison attached to the name. Oh, and included breakfast, big joke. Wouldn’t have eaten anyway.

Filthy, non maintained hotel. Of theee lamps, one worked okay, one didnt have light bulbs, and one gave an electrical shock. The bathtube and sink looked nasty. There was a roach in the bathroom. The bed sheet was torn and looked dirty. Tried to lay on it until felt a bug crawling 9n me bugs on the bed,

There were no towels, room reeked of smoke (we don’t smoke), my sister came in our room (she has asthma) and had a bad reaction to the smoke, no soap for shower, fabric chair all stained, coffee pot in room but no coffee (said they were out) , lot of black mold in bathroom and toilet , shower curtain full of black mold, coffee cups at breakfast held 1 1/2 ounces of coffee (unbelievable) the nice lady in breakfast room had so many complaints she left and went shopping and came back with normal size cups. We do not recommend this hotel. We were in room 125.

Poop on the floor, literally dog poop on the floor in the room, stained sheets, mold in the tubs and not a tiny spot, all over the tubs, bugs everywhere, yes everywhere. They were crawling out of outlets, all over the floor, etc. Stained furniture, like someone spilled or sweated all over the couches, no door knobs, no elevator and I could not get a refund and refused to stay in a place that really needs to be condemned. At the very least a health inspector needs to go investigate.

Bed bugs!!! Will never stay here again... first time was ok... but this time i had many patches of bed bug bites on my hands and back. So gross

This hotel was absolutely deplorable. We have been unable to speak with management as he will not return calls. We did not stay at the hotel and will be disputing the charges in full. Ceiling damage, dried bloody boogers on the wall, pubic hairs on bed & tub, dirty mirror, missing iron, broken hangers, smoke smell everywhere in a non-smoking hotel, filthy phone, floors etc.

This is the dirtiest chain hotel that I have ever seen. I chose to stay there because I was driving late and tired. This hotel popped up and I have stayed in Radissons in other towns before that put this to shame. The first room that I was given (Rm 224) had lights that didn't work, a bathroom that looked like it was under construction and no towels in the room and was totally unacceptable for the $100 that I had paid to stay. I went down to the desk and asked for another room. He asked asked what was wrong with this room and I asked him if he'd ever been in that room and explained everything that was wrong. He then gave me a key to a new room #104. I went to the new room and immediately noticed that once again there weren't any towels in the bathroom and went back to the front desk. He handed me a set of towels that turned out to be old and frayed.. Upon returning to my new room, #104, I noticed a bug shooting on the comforter, torn trim, sorry carpet, a slightly better bathroom and no remote for the television. At this point it was after 1:00 a.m. and I was done. I killed the bug and checked the bed for any signs of bedbugs which I didn't see. I pulled the sheets and comforter off and just crashed on the fitted sheet. I got about 3 hours of sleep and kept hearing doors slamming in the hotel so I finally just got up and left. I have read other reviews of this property and am wondering if the people that have them 10 pts even stayed here. Worst ever!

This was one of the filthiest places I have ever stayed. The exterior lights are out, the carpets are dirty, the room was dirty. The bedding was stained with poop. There was not a towel in the room. The pool area was just as dirty with what looked like poop rubbed on the floor. I am surprised that Expedia supports it.

Dirty room and bugs

as soon as we got into our room we noticed the lights were not working, when we asked the front desk they said they would fix it and they never did. also the tile on the floor was coming up and it had cut my husbands foot. there were holes in the top sheets ( im guessing for the dryers) and we had called ahead to make sure we would have a room with a pull out couch . there was no pull out couch and now they are charging me an additional 20$ for some reason. not a very good stay would not recommend.

First night was with a broken AC. Felt like we were camping. They did allow us to move rooms. Pictures did not match the room.

Location is not in the best area of town BUT we had no issues or worries for personal safety nor safety of our vehicle. Front desk staff was VERY friendly. Breakfast staff not so much. I was eating and she began putting away ALL the food and drinks. I looked at my watch and saw it was 9:38 on a Sunday. I thought breakfast must have ended at 9:30 on Sundays versus 10:30 on Saturday. Later saw a sign that said breakfast was until 10:30 on Sunday. I was pretty livid as I left still hungry because all the food was put away just short of an hour early. The hotel itself needs a facelift. It's looking pretty rundown. Overall cleanliness was ok. We moved the chair looking for something we dropped and found a few pieces of trash that were not ours. Other than that the room felt and smelled clean.There was a giant hole in our curtains. The tub was very slippery. I almost busted my butt several times stepping in and out. This wasn't a terrible stay but next time I'll probably spend a touch more and stay closer to the college.

Bed was lumpy and not comfortable. Window didn’t close all the way so heard the wind all night long. Would never stay again or recommend

The outside looked great, but the rooms looked very old. Our bed only had two thin sheets on it, no blanket. The bathroom had one light that worked. The kitchen had a coffee maker, but no cups. I had to call the front desk for towels and washcloths because there was only two towels and no washcloths when we got there. The hairdryer didn’t work at all. The staff was friendly and housekeeping was prompt when called. The other family traveling with us experienced the same problems. This hotel looks to be quite old with an outside facelift. We won’t choose this hotel again.

Honestly, this hotel was pretty bad. The first night we experienced an awful noise in the wall, was woken up around 1am to the maintenance man saying they had a noise complaint and needed to check it out. I was up till 3am due to this issue. The next night we experienced the same noise. The hotel is outdated and in poor condition. Pay the extra $20 and stay somewhere nice. Yuck.

There was a kitchen with an old microwave, only broken fridge. No free wifi. Water pressure sucked. No towels in the room. None of the free items it said would be part of the experience were there in my room. What’s the point of a kitchen when there’s no stove?

As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. What else should I expect for $57 a night? No towels or rags in the room when arrived. Broken appliances. Holes in the walls. Pictures on the walls held up by duct tape. Internet kept going out. Had to reconnect every device it happened. Very inconvenient. Breakfast was the same thing served every morning. Waffle machine was “out of order.” Swimming Pool had cloudy water with the overwhelming smell of chlorine. No towels in the swimming pool area. A huge hole in the ceiling in the pool room.

Fridge didn't work and couldn't control the temperature in the room

The room we stayed in was a little disappointing, and most all of our issues were with the lack of cleanliness. When we opened up the fridge, we noticed it had some kind of discolored liquid at the bottom of it (inside), so we didn't end up using it. There was head and body hair built up on the floor of the bathroom, behind the door, showing that it wasn't cleaned out properly. Also, a bar of used soap with body hair stuck to it was in the shower (inside the soap holder), so we assumed that the shower had not really been cleaned either. The floor in the bedroom did not look like it had been vacuumed very thoroughly, because there were little particles all around the bed that a vacuum would have easily cleaned up. Then, the comforter on the bed had at least three of what appeared to be small and dark blood-stain smears. In another section of the bed comforter, we noticed red makeup smears, possibly from red lipstick. It did not look like the comforter had been cleaned at all. Lastly, on our second night at the room, a couple was staying in the room next to us. They were not being excessively loud, but the door that connected our room to their's was thin enough that their talking kept us awake for a while. We have definitely stayed in worse, but we have also stayed in far better.

Given the wrong room upon check in, reserved a king w/sofa…just given a king. And room smelled like someone had thrown a week long pot party. The smell was awful! Went to front desk was given new room, couch had huge soiled spot, no pillows, or linens for couch. Got a 3rd room that was finally correct, but no remote for the TV, no towels in the bathroom, and tiles in entry and bathroom broken/loose. And black out curtain missing a pull so not able to block out the outside flood lights. Breakfast left a lot to be desired as well! Very poor experience, will not ever stay at this or any other property associated with it! Wish I had not booked it to begin with, and had my money refunded!!

Friendly staff, quiet place and convenient location.

We called twice to confirm the reservations, including a roll away bed. Twice we were told yes, there would be one in the room. When we got there, the guy had no idea what we were talking about. There was something wrong with the credit card reader, so we couldn't use that for their safety deposit. Luckily we had $50 cash. There were no towels when we got to the room. We stayed 5 days and 4 nights. We only got fresh towels one time and our sheets were never changed. The towels we did have were stained. The toilet was not anchored, so you tipped every time you used it. The floor tiles throughout the hotel were either loose or missing. There were chunks missing out of the floor of the pool. The toilet in the pool area was locked, so you had to go back up to your room to use the restroom. The staff was nice, but overall the hotel was not very well kept and not very comfortable. We won't be staying there again in the future.

1st the hotel is isolated from restaurants, etc. Nothing in walking distance. They provided the bare minimum in the rooms. I had 1 towel, 1 wash clothe, 1 coffee & 1 cup. The beds appear lumpy because the quilt is lump, chair was filthy, drapes were filthy and the wall by the cabinet and several gunky things stuck to it at the floor. It was horrible.

When I checked in, all the hourly tenants were outside the building bringing their customers in. Food was left in the fridge and cabinets - I’m sure their long term customers couldn’t wait to get their room back. Lipstick and who knows what else all over the bedspread. Staff barely spoke English - I have no idea what I’m going to be charged. But if you like to feel filthy and afraid that someone is going to kidnap your kids for trafficking - this is the motel for you.

It's amenable and easy access.

That hotel was horribly neglected. The furnishings look like second hand items; the baseboards need to be replaced; the bathroom sink had an unsightly crack going from one end to the other. Behind our room was a bare field, and the hotel is directly across the street from what looks to be low income apartments.

The Hotel is in a awful neighborhood. It was filthy dirty. Not well kept everything was broken elevator broke pool dirty and closed room smelled musty. Sheets were dingy. Towels didn't match and were dingy. Just awful and I had to prepay mow I see why because I would have gotten my money back. And it had roaches

The hotel looked nothing like the photos. The pool was murky and the hot tub didn’t work. The drywall in the pool area was in very bad disrepair. The ice machines did not work. The room was dirty and had greasy handprints on the wall. The shower was gross and the shower curtain was ripped. There were no towels in the room at all. The bedding was very thin and I froze all night. There was a drug deal happening in the front parking lot. I would not recommend this hotel and I won’t ever stay there again. We were very disappointed and dissatisfied.

Great breakfast and friendly stass!

Desk clerk said no coffee was available in room but there was a coffee pot in both rooms. My room had one coffee package but no sugar, stir sticks or creamer. Other room had pot, but nothing else. Tv remote didn't work and tv had popping noise and lots of static on picture. Free breakfast was horrible Sink knobs were backwards, turn knobs clockwise to turn off and counter clockwise to turn on. . Bed was very comfortable and room was clean.

This was our first time staying at a Country Inn and unfortunately it wasn’t very good!! It started when we arrived in the parking lot to find a drunken tailgate party. Checkin process was quick and easy and the attendant was friendly which I appreciated since it was late. Once we got to our room we were immediately met with the smell of cigarette smoke even though we had asked for a non-smoking room! The sheets were soiled with stains of some sort! There were no towels in the bathroom and the floor tiles were broken and loose!! Then of course the TV didn’t work! Lastly, the breakfast was not well prepared with the sausage being cold and under cooked. Several items were out even though breakfast had just started!! Not a complainer and never write reviews but I felt this needed to be said especially because I spent almost 100 dollars for this!

This hotel is run down and dirty. The exterior and interior of the building need attention. There were no towels in the room when we checked in. We picked up towels at the front desk and there were several long hairs on the towels when the clerk handed them to me. The bulb was missing out of the light fixture over the sink in the bathroom and the pot light by the tub was hanging out of the ceiling several inches. The hair dryer was missing and there were screw holes in the wall by the sink where it had once been hanging. The ironing board was leaning up against the wall because the bracket that is supposed to hold it in place was broken on one side. Breakfast was hot and fresh and was the only acceptable past of this stay. We have stayed at other Country Inn and Suites locations in the past with no issues.

Terrible cockroach in the sugar packets, only one coffee packet in room and it was incorrect for the pot that was there and only 1 pack of sugar and no cream or cups. we found Spoiled milk in the refrig so we knew it hadn't been cleaned, we had to remake the bed sheet put on incorrectly, the juice at breakfast was sour, cereal stale, the pool was not working and should have been indicated on the web page or would have gone else where, just run down and needs some cleaning up and attention to detail in fact can't believe it is still open.

A/C was wonderful. Breakfast semi-adequate, no fruit, no yogurt, only regular bread for the toaster, no bagels, no muffins. :( The outside is dirty as well as the hallways. Had to use the stairs due to the elevator being broken. we are in our 60's NOT COOL! WE ask for more shampoo, body soap, towels & toilet paper or kleenex. It was like an act of congress. VERY LIMITED! Plus, they ran out of toilet paper. We were down to using tissue from the kleenex box. We are NOT coming back. BEST part of the stay the A/C & the beds.

In desperate need for refurbishment. Pealing paint, outlets hanging off in dining room, old half & half (it was chunky), stained sheets that need to be replaced. Missing iron and ironing board, no hangers. The bathroom had rusty towel racks that were falling off the wall. We had exactly 2 towels and 1 hand towel, no washcloths. The curtains were stained and coming off the track. We came into town for a concert and got back to the hotel at midnight and they had deactivated our key cards even though our reservation is until the 10th and check out is at 11am not midnight.
