Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown

The breakfast could be a little better. We payed for parking $12 per day, we payed for hotel room just don't understand why we pay for parking. Almost like everywhere here in Salt Lake.

The location was good where it was walkable to the TRAX. The breakfast was good too, lots of options although we came when right before it closed at 9am. There were still a lot of people there eating and serving themselves and some food was nearly gone. Perhaps they should keep the breakfast open until 930 or 10 if possible. The room was large, clean, and very accommodating. The staff were friendly, helpful, and amazing. My only complaint was we were next to a room with a bunch of teenagers who were loud between 10-12pm. Then we were woken up around 2-3am by loud music. Hard to stay at a place and get a good nights sleep with all the noise. I would stay here again though

The start of our stay was a disaster. I called to tell them we could be late for our arrival and they assured me it would be ok, they would check me in, and I just needed to come to the desk when we arrived to get my keys. When we arrived they had cancelled our reservation, and we couldn't book a new one without paying, since I had booked thru hotels.com. The girl working the front was nice and doing what she could. But whoever was working on 3/26 at 1:03pm when I called needs be spoken to about lying to customers and making our trip stressful and $400 more expensive. Hotel rooms needs some serious updates. No outlets near the beds, burnt out lightbulbs, flashing lights, terrible lighting, sticky towels... we wont be back.

Good room with a very convenient location. Friendly staff. We had a good experience and will not hesitate to come back.
