The elevators are under construction but the hotel was nice. Convenient to university. But charging for parking is crazy, and ask for a high floor(above 3) to avoid a view of the gravel roof of the entrance.

The property overall was pretty nice but the paid parking was not expected or appreciated. An extra $16 to park at a property we already paid to stay at is unreasonable. The front desk staff were nice, room was clean, but the shower head was terrible. The restaurant was nice but extremely overpriced for the quality and what you get. 6 hot wings for $19 is ridiculous no matter how many vegetables you put on the plate.

For $200/night, I’d rather have a few face towels in the bathroom and a microwave than a Chihuly on the lobby. Elevator was out and the other one took a long time to arrive: not fun on the sixth floor. Also, $12/day parking is a ripoff. The location wasn’t walkable to the University, which was why we were there. Not even a pool or hot tub.

The only downside to this one was that one elevator was being worked on so it was shut down. Just had to wait on one elevator to get to your floor is all very good hotel and I would recommend it to everyone else staying around the area

I was disappointed because… 1. I received the wrong room. I booked a room with two beds and received a king making it so we had to purchase another room. More money we didn’t plan on. 2. The pool has been removed that was a bummer for the kids. 3. You have to now pay for parking. It’s kind of frustrating because I paid $200 per room and then had to pay for parking on top of that. Just a way to make more money I guess. I’m disappointed. My husband and I use to love coming here and now I don’t think we will be returning

Hotel is really quite nice, especially the lobby area. The room was very nice, modern, laid out well, and clean. I liked the big TV too. I only gave it 4 stars because there are 2 things that let it down. First, you have to be a Marriott Bonvoy member to get access to the wifi. I know it's free to sign up, but it's still annoying. And second, the parking is not free, and even worse - it's handled by a third party, so you have to spend a bunch of time signing up for some stupid private party parking account online.

They’re currently renovating the property so you have to deal with that, like one elevator but they’re making it work pretty effectively. If you have meetings or interests at the University of Utah, it’s the place to stay.

The property is under renovation which we weren't aware of. The hotel is a mess. Only one elevator works and when you have a baby in a stroller it takes forever to utilize the elevator. We waited 30 minutes at the elevator to leave. As a mom with a baby and currently pregnant I was not impressed. Also the beds are awful! They're full size and hard as a rock.

The description of the property said free parking. It’s $14.55 a day with fees and taxes. There was black mold in the bathroom. The paint was peeling in the room. There was a half of a roll of toilet paper and no extra roll. We had a king size bed and queen size quilts and bedding. It wasn’t a great stay. And would not recommend.

The quality if room was very low. Bathroom had mold, shower wouldn't drain, toilet was dirty from previous guest. Room was not well put together. Vents in room and bathroom were all caked in dirt and dust. An elevator was down most of the time causing long delays. Hydration station was not clean. Having to pay for parking was unnecessary.

This was an average stay for a work conference. The room was dated. The mattress could be replaced as it was caved in a bit. I found 3 bugs in the room. The same bugs were observed just outside the hotel. Overall this place needs a facelift.

Property was great and close to the hospitals and campus. Room and view were amazing. If that is what you want then it is great. However, $20 for a "buffet" that is a free continental breakfast at most 2 star motels and is one of the most horrible hotel breakfasts i have had. Stay here for a good stay but go anywhere else for food.

Lousy, extremely noisy expensive restaurant. Some lights not working in room. Poor shower configuration; you cannot turn on the shower and set the temperature without actually getting in the shower, thus getting sprayed with initial burst of cold water. Only one side of the king bed had power outlets.

My son, my wife and I stayed here for 4 nights while attending Monster Jam World Finals at Rice-Eccles Stadium over the July 4th weekend. This hotel was the best choice for this event. Every member of the staff we met during our stay was friendly and welcoming. Our room was ready as soon as we arrived even though we were there 30 minutes before our check in time. The room itself was very clean and well maintained. The beds were comfy. We did have a minor issue come up during our stay but let it be known that it was resolved within 12 hours by the hotel staff. Just a note about the room remember to bring your dongles for your phones especially if your devices use c ports. They have a couple usb ports in the room but they are plenty of outlets to charge all your devices. The FREE WiFi was fast. The hotel does have 3 restaurants Thistle & Thyme which was open for breakfast. The Skybrook Kitchen + Bar which was open for lunch and dinner. Then Starbucks which was open for breakfast. There is not much around the hotel for food so we used GrubHub and Uber Eats to have food brought in. One of the best things about the hotel is you are only a little over a mile walk away from Rice-Eccles stadium. If you are attending an event at Rice-Eccles stadium and do not want to hassle with traffic or parking I would recommend staying here. My rating : BEST.

I was requesting a late check out all morning via the messenger, and nobody responded. Then I arrived after 12 and the front desk clerk said it was close enough and I would be refunded 1-day. Then I returned to checkout and the manager overruled and declined my request. Saying it was past 12 - right in front of the clerk. Very disappointed as a Bonvoy Member....karl

Riley at the front desk is extremely professional and went out of his way to help us. Our door battery went out and someone had to come change it out. Riley was a stand out, recommending restaurants in the area and talking with us about the University of Utah. We were in town for a college visit. All the front desk staff were amazing.

Great experience very clean and peacefull But the person at the front desk was very rude and when I checked out I told him thank you very much that everything was great and that it was a good experience and he just ignored me. He didn't care about his bad service but everything else was excellent.

The physical building is lovely, with a very nice lobby which encourages people to sit and enjoy the ambiance. Loved sitting by the fireplace. The front desk staff were friendly, polite and accommodating. The restaurant served a wonderful breakfast. The staff were so nice. They accommodated us even though we arrived right at closing . The rooms are also very nice. Very clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. All the amenities you would want. Ability to easily and quickly adjust the room temperature. I would absolutely stay at this Marriott again.
