Impeccable. Worth every penny. Maybe the detailed hotel I’ve ever seen. So clean it felt brand new. I think it was a slow night when I stayed, so service was excellent. Pool closes too early especially on sunday (7 PM??). Bellhop took too long to get bags to check out, so had to do it myself. Valet saved the day hy getting my car ASAP to catch flight tho.

Parking was great - if you paid the extra $25 per day for it. BUT - once in the garage, the stalls were huge, the concrete was super clean and well lit up. Felt safe. If you do not spring for the parking garage, then drop off/pick up is always congested and be prepared to wait 5 min. The staff try to keep cars moving but too many park there and block things. There is no good nearby place to park and just walk in other than the underground parking garage. At the end of a 9 day stay, I felt the parking garage was actually worth the extra cost.

Beautiful hotel. Keep in mind parking will cost you at least $24 a night. It’s not included in the stay. The room was really big, and we loved that they had an adult only hour at the pool.

No areas to sit outside other than the pool area, which was unfortunately closed because it is seasonal. The weather was phenomenal so we would’ve enjoyed sitting outside. The courtyard has no chairs. I felt this was a missed opportunity.

The hotel is beautiful. Pool and pool service is fantastic. Great AM coffee shop and later evening bar option. Evening music in the lounge. Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a bit outdated and smelly…but we had a fantastic stay and would visit again.

Amazing. Turn of the 20th Century opulence, impeccably clean, excellent dining options, afternoon tea service (make a reservation). Rockefeller or Carnegie def would have stayed here when visiting SLC.

Look no further!! Absolutely stunning hotel, and big! Loved the Indoor pool on the 4th floor. The hotel was very clean, had stunning gardens full of tulips, and the rooms are very quiet. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance where one dish was better than the next (Aker ~ seafood/sushi and white horse ~ elegant American). Definitely will stay there again! Highly recommend!

It’s a beautiful venue. Only inconvenience was housekeeping did not show up our first night.. then the next day she showed up at 4 pm we didn’t get house keeping for the first 2 days.

The overall stay was not great, it costs 30 dollars for overbight parking, no meals included, the shower is tiny, the beds uncomfortable and very old, and the cleanliness of our room was abysmal.

LOVED IT! We spend a fabulous weekend with hour kids. Had a delightful massage at the SPA and everything was perfect! The only thing is that one of the pillow cases was staing with something black. Just keep a better eye on that one. Besides that this was one of my favorite experiences at a hotel! Do not miss it when coming to SLC! Loved that they have live music! Exquisite.

This is such a beautiful property!! We had a large room with a balcony and beautiful view of the mountains. Everything in our room was great! Comfortable bed and pillows, clothing steamer, beautiful gold and marble bathroom. The lobby and hotel made us feel like we were in Europe. Beautiful tapestries and clocks. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

The first time we stayed there, we were in a culture shock. But, it has been one of the best places we have ever stayed. The beds are comfortable, the size of the room is amazing. Only the shower is built for one. But, we have had problems with water pressure in other places, but not here. We love staying here.

I am on the floor where the pool is on this floor, full of smell when you walk out the elevator, and the noise from the pool facility make you hard to sleep, it doesn’t worth for $440 one night on this floor at all!

Room was amazing and large. Bed was very comfortable. Seperate shower and jacuzzi tub was nice. Quiet even though facing Main Street. Comfy furniture and 2 large screen TV's. Only thing we didnt like was that the small fridge was stocked with treats and soda that they wanted a ridiculous price for! We had brought our own snacks and sodas but there was no room in the fridge! We had to remove some of their items so ours would fit, then replace them when we checked out. Hotel is very close to a TRAX station, so getting around was easy. Would stay here again. Was a beautiful hotel and made us feel important.

This stay was very disappointing and there is just no way that it is worth the money that we paid. The rooms are EXTREMELY outdated (beds, furniture, carpet, wall coverings, lamps all look like something from the 70s). The temperature controls did not work well. We had a big stain on our floor. The bedding looked like something from a Motel 6. Our Keurig machine was broken and there is no microwave nor a fridge in the hotel room! I’ve been in hotels 1/3rd this price with better amenities. The hotel lobby and pool are very nice but I’d never stay in a room at the Grand America again.

We love the grand America. We stay there a few times a year. It’s clean, cozy and so nice. We dislike the price to park our car and that housekeeping is always ansy and starts to ring the doorbell /knock at 7:30 am. Although checkout isn’t until 11 and I’d called to confirm that and had the do no disturb on our door.

Everything was pretty great except I was putt off by the person at the Front Desk who checked us in. Great reviews brought us to this hotel and we were left a little disappointed. On the other hand, Kodee was working in the little sitting area by the fireplace was pretty darn amazing. She walked us through the different cuisine options unlike the person at the desk who said he had no idea about the food and didnt bother to give any directions either.

The hotel itself was beautiful. But the staff was horrible. I’ve asked for toiletries like 4 times waited 30mins and I never heard anything back from the staff. I called multiple time they did not answer so I had to use my own that I had for emergency and was late to the airport. With the money I spent I expected a better service. I stayed at Marriott few days prior and they were way better. Price and service.

We love the Grand Hotel; it's so beautiful! The only thing we didn't love was the uncleanliness of the city just in the adjoining blocks. We took a walk to the City Center area from the Grand and were disappointed and sad to see so much garbage all over the streets. We took that walk Sunday morning.

There should be a no phone policy in spa lounge my relaxation was spoilt by a client in her phone loudly - I mention to receptionist on departure - massage was amazing Janilee fantastic - pedicure was good except no base coat applied abs chewing gum not really acceptable - the dinner in Laurel was poor - bursts not bursts steak dry veg not cooked enough - breakfast was good - deserts are poor - rooms are dated and no toiletries had to ask for slippers no cotton wool etc - was not really worth all the money spent other than the massage -

Great valentines stay for the weekend. King premier room was nice and clean. Cool vintage vibe without feeling old or dated. Spa was great, did the couples massage and hung out in the lounges, saunas and indoor pool. Brunch at the Laurel was awesome, but pricey ($70 per person). Only things I would suggest is bring some outside water/pop (expensive on site) and there isn’t an adults only lounge until 4p outside the spa. With the brunch, it would be cool if they opened the bar area for sandwiches and drinks for lunch or to escape the more crowded family areas.

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was absolutely beautiful, had a gorgeous view of the mountains, and the food at the Laurel was delicious. If you eat there for breakfast, try the pancakes and steak and eggs!

The room service breakfast was so bad. It was the equivalent of IHOP! Don’t wait your money egg wasn’t cooked right, food was all cold, hot chocolate was brown warm water! The French toast was mushy it was so gross. Don’t waist your money. For what we paid we should have had an amazing breakfast! The staff was nice, hotel is great but breakfast for room service is awful

Hotel was absolutely amazing. Views, luxury, rooms. However, we had an issue with the restaurant. We got ice cream and my daughter got horrible food poisoning and also we waited 30 minutes for that ice cream to come out! Restaurant overall not great. But putting that aside this hotel is good to stay at.
