The elevator was still out of service; with the exact same signs on them that were posted then last time I stayed there. The non-smoking room smelled like nicotine.

Nothing other than the parking.

Only negative thing is random people coming in and out the lobby n hallways

I’ve stayed n another super in another state and it wasn’t like this one. It appeared like it was a homeless shelter. Everyone had to evacuate the hotel this morning due to an alarm going off. Something was burning. Just a uncomfortable setting

The convenience and of everything and the parking.

No closet, ironing board or iron, elevator broken, I'd never stay there again!

We were put on the third floor and the elevator was out of order and my sister fell down the stairs comming up to the room and had to be treated at an Urgent Care for cuts, bruises, and a sprained leg. The breakfast consisted of coffee made from chickory full of grinds,a few cinnamon buns, 2 hot chocolate packs, tea, and orange juice that didn't work and apple juice. There was a sign asking guests to take one cinnamon roll and eat it in your room being no place to sit. There was sketchy people hanging out inside and outside the motel all night long and some of them lived there and worked there.

The hotel was clean however the elevator has not been working for over a month. Non-smoking is on the 3rd floor and the room smelled so bad of smoke. Actually the whole hotel smelled of smoke. If your a smoker, then your probably ok with this problem.

Bathroom was not clean at all it looked like and it made us question if the rest was clean also.

It's a dump. Staff is friendly. Bad smells, carpet in hallways is dirty, clearly they don't care to keep up the place.

Never again. From the random people hanging in the parking lot to the dirty sheets on the bed and the disgusting bathrooms. This place is horrifying. And then when we relayed our disdain for the conditions we were denied a refund. This place needs to be shut down.

Room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom tile and trim was slightly worn out....but it was clean! Staff was super friendly!

We chose a no smoking room. The entire property stunk of cigarettes. We had to open the window and run the air just to get rid of some of the smell. I noticed my clothes in my bag stunk of cigarettes when I got back home. It's always a gamble. My advice to the hotel is to make the top floor smoking and the rest no smoking. Don't put no smoking in with the smoking.

The room was very clean and the staff was nice. Very nice room for the price.

The room smelled funky and the floors were sticky and dirty. Located on a very noisy street. One of the windows in the back were broken and patched up. Only realized the next morning when we were leaving. Breakfast was just coffee and cinnamon roll which we totally skipped. I’m very disappointed with this hotel

We came in for a project for work for one night and needed just a place to lay our head. This place worked. Yes, it's older....and needs updating. But it was clean and quiet for the most part!

It was noisy on hwy side. Some neighbors noisy at night.

Super has become better than previous years that I've stayed there. The updated rooms look so much better, not all of the rooms have carpet in which they should because it brings out the life in the room. I didn't like the beds, they need to really update their beds. Now a days a lot of hotels are using pillow top beds and mattress pads underneath. Super 8 beds feel like the original hotel beds they are so hard and stuff like boards. They also need to update their ice buckets and the cups they use. They need thicker and softer towels and wash cloths. The towels and wash cloths they have are better for cleaning your car with, verses drying off and washing up with them. Most of the staff there is great although there is one lady there that will take her attitude out on everyone when things aren't going smoothly. If you work in customer service you know how irate customers can get, so no need to allow one bad apple to spoil your whole day. Walk in the back, do a couple of WOO SAHSS and then step back out with a better attitude and a smile, trust me your day will be a whole lot better.

Staff went above and beyond to help with extra needs for my business stay. Unfortunately, the refrigerator froze my food and I couldn't eat it for breakfast like I had planned.

The rooms and hallways smell horrible! In the bed feels like sandbags.

I loved the fact that it was quoet and clean and i could smoke in my room. I did not like that the property does not have ironing birds or a closet and i couldnt the WIFI right. I didnt go tor luxury but convinience so i. 50/50 on this one.

Thought Newport news was a tourist attraction. Not really. The hotel though is not terribly disappointing. The room is spacious, the shower has hot water, bed is king size and the cleanliness is not too bad. Most importantly, I booked the hotel 48hr ahead of time and got charged 90$. How much can you ask for 90$? Still, the safe in my room does not work, and the hotel hallway has a weird smell. But if you just stay for one night it is okay.

My room was near the elevator and ice machine. Also, someone was crying near elevator thru the night. Floors didn't look very clean. They felt sticky. One of the attendants was sassy when I asked to clarify the wifi password. Didn't appreciate that after a 5 hour drive to location.

Front desk young lady that's there in the evening until 11 was so polite. She will be a reason I return for the friendly service

I didn't stay. When I arrived at the hotel, my reservation had been cancelled under the guise that someone tried to confirm the reservation at 10:50 pm and my card was declined. I was down for a weekend festival. It typically does not let out until 11 pm. With after events, exciting the parking lot, food, etc., many people do not make it to their hotels until the wee hours of the morning. As such, I was driving around at 2 am trying to find a place a sleep during a major event that sells out the community.

so many issues with this location. First i get there & the room wasn't ready. The man at the front desk named josh was nice, however he charged me for the room and pet fee twice of 60.00. So he refunded me the whole amount & we had to wait till the money was refunded to process payment. We reserved a king size bed& he gave is a room with 2 beds. He said pets arnt allowed on the 2nd & 3rd floor. The pet was listed on our reservation. Also there was hairs in the bed. Then he called us 3 time more about the payment issue. We called the bank together & they said the money would be back in my account the next morning at 7am. He said to be in the lobby at 7am which i was. We spoke to Carolyn & she wanted to wait for Al the gm. After dropping the cat off we went back & took a nap. Then left again, Al then called me &wanted to know if i was coming back. I advised we were there till Saturday. We went picked the cat & went back to the hotel and wen to the front desk. The clerk had Al come down & spoke with me &my husband, & said the refund was processing and that wanted to wait till it went fully threw. I told him the money was in my account now he said he would contact us when he was ready to charge the card. AFTER we left today he charged my card for the wrong amount & with no discount as promised & the card was entered manually which means they wrote down my card.When i got home & told Anita what happed she hung up on me. I called my bank to cancel card.Terrible place and people.

The staffing there were amazing during the stay I will definitely be back.

The motel is an excellent value. It is reasonably priced, clean, quiet, staffed by friendly folks and even provides a basic continental breakfast. My only complaint is that it took several minutes to get someone to the front desk when we checked in.

We stayed one night. Great location. Near food, shopping, interstate access. Staff was amazing the lady Anita in the front desk took really good care of us.. Definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again!

Easy access to shopping

The hotel is in an execllent location it is close to the fishing pier that I visit. Close to shopping and a ton of restaurants.Great value.

This is a decent stay for an in and out trip. The area is a bit rough and there were a few drunken altercations that resulted in the glass doors to the building being broken the day that I left. Looked like someone threw rocks or shot at the door (speculation) but they were broken just the same.

Let me start that I am a father an army vet, with that being said I noticed the placement of the cameras seemed odd as my door didn't have a functioning deadbolt. Lady at the front desk was occupied by some show on her phone while I stood at the front desk for a few minutes. Overall the stay was great as there is a Walmart in the next lot over. You could easily walk there. As well as another shopping center across the road. You'll have to drive unless you wish to cross the major roadway. Plenty of food options available including a Waffle House maybe 2 miles down the road.

Noisy area and in the parking lots. Multiple people fighting all night with yelling and crying kids. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

They did not clean my room one day I was there! The breakfast could have been better too.

“Included breakfast” was weak coffee and gas station sweet rolls

Smoking smell in the hallway. Breakfast is coffee, hot cocoa, orange juice, apple juice and pre-packed cinnamon. Wish to have some fruits like bananas or apple. It is an okay stay.
