The staff was great, friendly and welcoming. Listening to a dog bark was disturbing. It's nice that they allow pets, but other guests should not have to put up with the incessant barking. Pool was closed for renovations.

Arrived and the elavator was broke. We than took the stairs which really needs a good cleaning. Also the floor we stayed on smelled moldy. We received three knocks from three different employees telling us they believed water from our tub/shower was leaking water down into the floor below us. We found the pool not working and was told we could use the pool next door at a different hotel. We also confirmed with the front desk for a late check out but the next morning room service opened our door while we were sleep to clean the room for check out. I will stay at another hotel the next few times I visit Virginia.

This was our second trip to this property on our way to NC resort .When we were last there in May....the pool was under renovations. No outdoor seating. Breakfast was poor at best. This last time....August 29th... the pool was to be fixed....(no it wasn't), we were checked into a room that had FILTHY smelly carpeting, dirty shower, crap in the sink and more. Husband requested a new room change. At least the new room was cleaner. "Free breakfast...Cold, runny instant eggs....COLD some kind of home fries and KOLBASSI (also cold)...The best thing was the toast.

Both elevators were out of order. We are seniors, I have a bad knee. We were on the 4th floor. The bathroom was not clean (hair/dirt). Floor, toilet, shower. There was dirt in corners in room. No trash can in room, or coat hangers. Positives- The lady at the front desk, breakfast and bed. I will never stay at a Hampton Inn by Hilton again! Another thing, we had to pay $5 to park in the Hampton Inn parking lot. Are you kidding me? We travel alot and have never encountered that!!!

The girl who checked us in had an attitude problem and was so nasty to customers on the phone, plus wasn’t too pleasant with the guests. Customer service in general wasn’t great. Our kids were so excited to swim in the outdoor pool, however, one look and they said no way! It is filthy, with the pool vacuum just lying beside the pool the whole time. It looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months! We had a constant drip in the bathroom that kept us up all night because it hits a metal plate, which also doesn’t drain when running the shower. And lastly, the pillows are simply awful.

So, upon entering the hotel, there was a ton of bikes parked out under the overhang so you could barely navigate through there. It's wide enough for 4 cars to come and check in, but was limited to one at a time. The lobby was very dirty. I'm assuming because it was busy? But there should be some form of maintaining it during a time it's that busy. There was loud music playing out back for quite some time, it wreaked of marijuana all night. The hotel staff was nice, the room itself was pretty clean. I really dislike the doors at Hampton Inns in general. They're just sliding doors that you can't lock. I wouldn't stay again.

I’m a freak about clean hotels. We checked in after driving for 10 hours, it was after midnight (the woman at the front desk was amazingly kind by the way!) and went straight to bed. The room was immaculate! The bed smelled like fresh laundry. The room was clean, the bathroom was spotless, and I felt so comfortable sleeping there. Located right off of 95. We grabbed some of the free breakfast on the way out as well which had a pretty good selection! I wound definitely stay here again!

The room itself was fine, though the shower did not get as hot as we would have liked. The elevator floor was ripped up and dirty and did not make a good impression. We checked in late at night, coming off the highway, and it felt a little seedy but probably would have felt different earlier in the day. Also, we were given an ADA room. Would have preferred a regular room.

A typical Hampton Inn, which is exactly what we wanted. Good value, great location right off the interstate and nice breakfast. The room was clean, which is always important to me. My only complaint was the water pressure was less than stellar, so the shower was disappointing.

The hard mattress was my only complaint. I didn’t sleep well, but the hotel room was very nice and clean. The property was nice and had a pool outside. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this hotel for a quick overnight stay.

Our check in was easy, Tasha was so friendly and went out of her way to check for adjoining rooms; our party needed two rooms and checked in at 8pm and needed dinner. She was so awesome to suggest we may use the table in the lobby to eat together. The beds were so comfortable and it was just what we needed to rest while traveling. I will say I noticed a cockroach in the bathroom while brushing my teeth in the morning, but that was the only one I saw and the rest of the experience was great!

Needed a more cost efficient spot that wasn't Richmond and this worked out great. Right off 95, renovated rooms, breakfast, and friendly staff. FYI, they are still doing some construction but a separate email was sent about this (after booking).

The hotel was currently under renovation so there was a lot of construction to get around. The parking wasn't near a door so we had to get the cart and unload then push it down the sidewalk to get in the door by the pool which was closed as well. They had a gentleman walking around and cleaning hand rails, doors and the elevator after folks came in so that was nice to see. The check-in was in a first floor room and the gentlemen at the desk were great! The breakfast area was across the hall from check-in. Food options were grab and go; there was a microwave to heat up the sandwiches and a toaster for the bagels. We didn't have any issues with our stay, the beds were comfy and the shower hot. Would stay again after they are done with construction if in the area again.
