Hotel staff was the nicest I e ever encountered! Rooms were clean but have a musty smell. I woke up to bites on my arms from bedbugs. I even checked for them and didn’t see them- the mattress was encased so maybe they are in the carpeting? I informed front desk staff and they didn’t seem to care but we were leaving. Definitely don’t stay in room 302. The hotel is clean, but it needs major updates. Carpeting is gross and this hotel seems to be used by a lot of construction workers. I would t say it’s very family-friendly. The pool is the size of a backyard swimming pool and has green/brown all over. The reason we choose to stay here was the reviews were pretty good and it had a pool. We decided against swimming after looking at the pool and I was so grossed out when we woke up to bedbug bites that we packed up and left as quick as possible.

Desk personnel were quick and cordial. Clean room,pool was clean and it felt great to swim after a 10hr car ride. Bed was comfortable, Roanoke close bye,7 minutes away, and had nice selection of places to eat . Applebee's food and service was great.Check out staffvery pleasant. Would stay there again. Close to intersection another plus!

The hotel was well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The pool and fitness room were great. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

What a great place! People are all friendly. Housekeeping is amazing they even put little rubber ducks to make you smile. Rooms and building are newer and very nice. I can’t believe a place this nice for the low price. They have a large gravel lot for truck and RV parking. That is hard to find. Thank you!

The beds were not as comfy. The bathroom had some issues that maintenance needs to address. The pool was clean from algae but did need some light cleaning to get the bugs and leaves out. Other than these little issues the breakfast was great, and the staff was very patient and polite.

The room was inside a secure building. Very clean and had plenty of supplies. (Towels ,etc) . It was very quiet, even though it was pet friendly, you did not hear them. Great place to walk the dog. Breakfast was great. I will stay there again when I come to the area.

We got a clean, well worn room. The standard amenities were present and the price was right. We avoided the breakfast because we suspected that it would disappoint. 1. Because the vending area contained no diet sodas and the reception clerk, when asked about it, replied that he had no idea what was available in the machines and on the shelves 3 feet behind him. 2. When my husband returned from a walk a homeless looking person pushed by him as he unlocked the back door and ran up the stairs. The clerk, when he was told, responded with—All the room doors are locked so he can’t get in.

We arrived at the hotel after midnight and the person at the front desk was uncertain which rooms would be clean for us. He said the previous person had it marked down incorrectly and said there may be a person in our room. Now...it's around 1am and we are being sent to a room where there might be a person in it! We get to the room and it was clearly a used room. Bedding askew, dirty towels throughout the room. We went back to the desk and let him know the room was dirty. After another period of time (he was searching for another available room), he said he found a room and went to check it. After about 5 minutes, he came back and said the room was clean. He had also mentioned that the cleaners hadn't cleaned approximately 10 rooms from the day before. To me, this is wild. We spent almost $200 on a room that we were in for less than 12 hours and sounded like wasn't properly cleaned. The room we finally ended up in had stains and smears in the bathroom and wasn't that clean. (and to note, the person at the front desk was super helpful, we just didn't find this to be a great experience

Clean and in good condition unlike many places in this price range. Tub was like new and clean. Elevator was nice to have. TV was easy to work and decent channel choice. Bed was good and extra blanket in room vs having to go and request one. We will seek this one out in future trips where it makes sense as a stopping place.

The gentleman that helped at check in was excellent! The lobby and room were clean just a little dated. Bathroom is tiny compared to room. Two people cannot be in there at the same time!

The only negative was that it was during the week and very low occupancy and it appears that those that were staying at the hotel were placed right next door to each other, so there was noise un-necessarily. Just wondered why you couldn't spread out the occupants.

All was good except for the mattress which was aweful. It was lumpy and needs to be replace in room 124. When I spend $124 a night for a hotel I expect the bed to be comfortable and the pillows where to hard. Very uncomfortable. At other hotels they give you four. Two firm two softer so you have a choice

Management is horrible. I decided I wanted to come up a day early due to well problems at home. Called and the young lady said she could give us the same room for that night, no problem. She said it wasn’t booked and to come on. I offered a credit card twice and she told me not to worry. I asked her two times what the rate would be and she quoted $106.00. I confirmed that a second time. Ultimately, the owner would not honor the quote and charged us $149.00. We had the police get involved as we felt we were being cheated. The owner threatened to kick us out for the night we had paid for.

This is a great hotel. I really enjoyed spending an hour on the phone with Expedia to resolve an issue with the private pricing the hotel offers to Expedia, all the while being told by the hotel that it was not there problem because Expedia is a third party.

We had reservations for four nights. Check-in took longer than normal as it seemed the clerk had trouble located my reservation. He was not unfriendly in his interaction with us, but only minimally communicative. The room was adequate in size and clean but had only one bar of bath soap. Over the next four days we left after breakfast and returned late afternoon each day and were perplexed why the trash hadn’t been emptied or clean towels provided. Clean and in good condition unlike many places in this price range. Tub was like new and clean. Elevator was nice to have. TV was easy to work and decent channel choice. Bed was good and extra blanket in room vs having to go and request one. We will seek this one out in future trips where it makes sense as a stopping place.

The people and the service were wonderful, super friendly, very helpful, and welcoming. The room was good. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked well. There a was a on odor from the previous guest. There were also a few knicks on the wall which were known about and maintenance hadn't been able to repair before our stay. The continental breakfast was excellent and our children really liked it! The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Natural Bridge State Park which was perfect.

We stayed at this hotel after a VT football game. It was a good price and only about 40 minutes from Blacksburg. The hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and the beds were comfortable. Very accessible right off the highway with a McDonalds, a diner and Taco Bell within walking distance.

We had a nice stay. We were only passing through, needing a room for one night but the room was very clean and in very good condition. The bed was comfortable and had everything we needed. Free breakfast with eggs, potatoes, sausage, make your own waffles, plus all the other continental breakfast choices was great before checking out.
