Everything was great except the pool water temperature. It was way too cold for anybody to use it hence everytime we went , there were no people. Please maintain atleast 80F temperature for the pool water so kids can use it.

The exit to the beach from the hotel needs to be repaired, its odd walking through the restaurant or out the front to access the beach. Cleaning the bathrooms is tricky, but special care should be given to the corners and nooks & tight spots where hair or cleaning agents buildup.

Excellent hotel. Very nice room, easy walking distance to beach, shops and local restaurants. Nice covered parking garage is available or you can choose valet. Highly recommend staying here. Friendly staff, concierge on site and very nice restaurant as well.

The hotel was clean and recently updated. The staff were pleasant and helpful, especially the parking attendants and the housekeeping staff. The beach at this location was both relaxing (less crowded) and fun (volleyball nets!) and there were a variety of dining options within walking distance to the hotel. The indoor pool was closed for maintenance during our stay for one day and when it reopened, the water wasn't as clean as it could have been. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay.

The parking was in a garage across the street but the $5/day that covers you in and out was convenient. Very clean and we enjoyed the pool. It would have been even better if the pool was a little warmer while it’s still 55 degrees out.

Then I booked this hotel for my family and I is so we could have beach access directly from the hotel. We got there we were not informed of the air conditioning in the building was broke. So the moment you stepped out in the hallway, you started sweating. I asked the front desk, lady you know why we had to walk out front in order to go to the beach because the door was broken and she replied to me that we could just walk through the five star restaurant. Which to me is just ridiculous. Why would I wanna walk my family in our bathing suits through a restaurant to get to the beach. The alternate was to walk around the building because like I said, the access door was broken. I will definitely not be coming back to this hotel ever again.

When I checked in and went to my room there was urine on the lower wall of the bathroom and the bed comforter looked like it was filled with socks. Disgusting. I left horrified and called Expedia wanting a refund to cancel the stay which was over a thousand for two nights. Everything at this property is filthy, the elevators the trash cans the walls are coated in grime. I am beside myself that this is a Hilton property. After I was denied by Expedia and the property any refund whatsoever I was told I’d be paying whether I stay or not I did stay. I was placed in a different room with a better comforter but everything still has a musty smell. The band is LOUD and rattles through the rooms all afternoon and night. The staff was nice and moved me but I cannot recommend this property. It needs to be mopped, the walls WIPED down and the trash emptied. I left at sunrise Sunday morning and I feel as though I was bamboozled (scammed) from the photos of the property to what was offered. Do not stay here.

My son and I stayed there and the initial room they put us in had water all over the floor and blood on the curtains. When I called down to the front desk she asked if I wanted to wait for maintenance. No- blood on the curtains! It was 9:00 pm when we checked in and we went from the 5th floor to the 3rd floor without any other accommodation discounts or comped room for the inconvenience. I’ve left a message for the manager Monday- still no call back. It’s Thursday.

The room was clean and well stocked. Fridge in the room and access to a microwave at the ice machines. Their inhouse restaurant had great food and music from a live band in the evenings. I searched through dozens of hotels and reviews for this trip and this one I would definitely stay at again.

Property should not be listed as a 4star hotel. Cleanliness, amenities, and accessibility to and from the beach are not of good quality. Hotel has a pest infestation. There is hardly any hot water to speak of. Bathroom had mold in the caulking. Ac unit in the room was struggling to keep 75. (Altho, understandable after a week of heat waves). All in all, not a 4star experience as advertised. Will not visit for that insane amount of money again.

My major gripe with this hotel was in their maintenance department. I stayed for five nights and despite multiple complaints I was never able to take a hot shower (the water at best came out warm) or use hot water in the sink (at best the sink water temperature was not cold).

My overall stay was great! My only concerns were the slamming of the doors by fellow customers. Also, the papr thin walls our neighbors came in around 10:00 pm and we heard their entire conversation. I took a shower and no hot water until 10 minutes into the shower.

We booked a room with “double” beds. Be warned that these are full size mattresses and the room has no sleeper sofa. The rooms are very small but the decor is modern and there is a lot of storage space. The balcony was very nice. The person that checked us in was not, he seemed like we were bothering him. I think you have to pay for the WiFi, if not it is just very difficult to connect to. I would not stay here again but for no other reason than the room was just too small for my family. The hallways were hot & you need to use your room key to operate the elevator.

Room was a lot smaller than expected but it was still nice with the balcony view we wanted. The double beds weren’t what we expected either as sleeping was tight in them as they seemed to be full sized beds. Overall we enjoyed our stay the room was clean and well maintained. Will definitely stay again.

I really like the feature that makes you tap your room key to use the elevator, but many people just jump in and ride, so it's not 100% effective. Our room was not cleaned daily, nor were our towels changed daily. The walls are paper thin, you could hear the people talking on both sides of the room very clearly, so if you are sensitive to noise, this is not the place for you. The balcony view is great, and I love the bathroom mirrors. The valet service, at $35 a night, was intermittent even though they charged us up front. Many mornings and evening I still had to self park.

The beach was beautiful from our balcony. The room was clean but water pressure in the shower was poor. At check out time the clerk had trouble checking us out due to an unpaid balance, which I prepaid for the room so the charge wasn’t correct. He did know what to do and had to phone a coworker to help him

We called several days ahead to schedule early check in and we’re told that wouldn’t be a problem. The day of check in we called to confirm early check in and we’re told that wasn’t possible. It was off season in November so it’s unlikely they were fully booked. Would appreciate more transparency in the future

The experience was pretty much normal hotel stay up until we tried to leave. They lost our key when we valleted from the night before. Ticket #546 and no one could find it. (Thankfully we had our second key!) No one offered a remedy. We had to essentially beg for a a refund (which would be expected, right?) We did end up getting that after back and forth convos for an hr. The people working at the time said they would communicate with the other members from the night before, check cameras and inform the GM. Said they would call us back with an update. 24 hrs later. Nothing. No update. We had to call them and no one knew what we were talking about. So nothing had been done. Very disappointing, unpleasant and unprofessional. We are now taking this to hilton corporate since no one there will handle the situation. But hey, the cookie was good......

Interior customer service last night was rough. There was a huge water bug on the patio so I couldn’t enjoy the space . The parking attendants / valet team are amazing all the way around . The ladies in the front need customer service training from the folks outside. I wanted to extend my stay but I got no help from the staff . Shame

Hotel staff no very friendly. Housekeeping supervisor, a indian woman was yielding to the person that was cleaning a room, it was VERY SAD to see how employees were treated.i was in the hallway and asked if she was ok? She reply this dogs don't want to work fast. My room was ok, several spots were dirty. Body wash was empty and very little water in the shower. Valet parking works only from 9-9 so you have to be in early lol and that sucks

I made my hotel reservation months in advance for a four-night stay to attend a concert in Virginia Beach. Although my travel plans later changed and I needed to arrive Friday instead of Thursday, I kept the original four-night reservation after consulting Hotels.com because it was less expensive than canceling and rebooking. Through the Hotels.com app, I notified the hotel in advance that I would be checking in on Friday, not Thursday. On the day of travel (Friday), I even called the hotel to confirm a late check-in due to my flight arriving around midnight. That’s when I was informed that my entire reservation had been canceled due to a no-show, and the hotel had no remaining rooms. Despite my clear communication, I was left stranded in a fully booked city during a major event. I had to spend hours scrambling to find a replacement hotel — eventually booking one 35 minutes away in an unsafe location, which ruined the entire experience. I later moved to a hotel closer to the venue, but it was still 20 blocks away from my original hotel, which had been just one block from the venue. Hotels.com declined to assist in any way. This was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had, and it could have been completely avoided if the hotel had honored the reservation I paid for and communicated about. I am extremely disappointed in both the hotel and Hotels.com for their failure to uphold a confirmed booking with proper notice.

The property is beautifully decorated and very well kept. Everything was clean and neat, and it’s in a great location close to a lot of great restaurants. Ryan greeted us at the valet stand and was very friendly and welcoming. He chatted with us about our stay, offered dining and things to do recommendations nearby. The rest of the staff that was working during our stay was less than helpful or enthusiastic. Most staff members we interacted with barely acknowledged us. After checking in, we went to the elevators that we were directed to by front desk staff, one of which was being worked on. Waited there about 5 minutes for the second elevator with all of our luggage, until another guest mentioned there was another set of larger elevators down the hall. Front desk nor the maintenance employees mentioned that to us. Our room was very nice, we loved the built ins and storage areas in the room. The bathroom was a bit small but had a great shower. We were a little disappointed to find a gigantic tent set up on the beach blocking most of the view from our balcony. The bands on the boardwalk were good but it got to be annoying by the third night. We really just wished we could sit on the balcony and enjoy the sounds of the ocean. Overall we enjoyed our stay but are weighing whether to stay at this location again mostly because of the bands playing so loudly every night.

Our first time in the area of Virginia Beach. Checked in was very quick and pleasant. Around the hotel there are plenty of really nice restaurants, we were surprised with the quality since is a crowded beach we didn’t expect it. I highly recommend taking the breakfast option with this particular hotel, the restaurant Mahi which is located on the first floor offer amazing A la carte menu for customers staying in the this Dobletree by Hilton. It was a great menu and delicious food. Hotel was clean, beach was very crowded which is something to expect being 4th of July week😎

Literally the best stay I’ve had at a hotel in a long time. Rooms were updated and clean. Super comfortable and inviting. Loved the restaurant- conveniently located inside the hotel. Dinner was awesome and so was breakfast. Wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. To my surprise the neptunes sand championship was going on. I got to watch all the cool action from my balcony. So fun! Valet parking was easy too! All good things to say- I would highly recommend it!

For a better named hotel I was very disappointed. Front staff checking in was rude. 70.00 for valet parking off season, crazy. Bed comforter was stained along with bath towels and coffee maker didn’t work. Best thing about the stay was the view.

I recently stayed at this hotel and would rate it 4 stars overall. However, my experience with the staff was less than satisfactory. Upon arrival, I had to gain someone's attention to check in, despite three staff members standing around. The next morning, housekeeping did not show up. When I went to the front desk, no one greeted me, but I informed a young man that I would like the room cleaned. He wrote down my room number, but when I returned four hours later, the room had not been cleaned. I attempted to call the front desk, but there was no answer. I went back downstairs and saw the same gentleman, informing him that the room wasn't clean. At this point, I just requested fresh towels. On a positive note, the restaurant Mahi's was excellent and contributed significantly to my overall positive experience at the hotel.
