If you are visiting Bennington College, this location could not be more convenient. The college is about a 5-minute drive away. The hotel is perfectly fine—nothing fancy but no complaints. And the indoor pool, gym, and sauna are wonderful.

There was no refrigerator in the room which surprised me. I put the “do not disturb” sign on the door but the maid service came in anyway. I returned to the hotel just past 10:00 pm only to find the parking lot was full with two trucks pulling trailers taking up several spaces. I had to park in the back lot and found the side doors do not open after 10:00 pm so had to walk all the way around the building in the dark and the snow. When I mentioned the issue with the parking spaces to the clerk she just kind of laughed. I am glad to know I won’t be coming back to Bennington VT.

This hotel is outdated and needs major updates, especially when it comes to the thermostat/air conditioner. It was pretty clean but really showing its age. The price was too high for the quality. Being that it’s the only hotel in the area it did what we needed it to while we were traveling to Maine.

Very convenient location. Room was comfortable and spacious. Snowy weekend and staff had a tough time keeping up with the walkways, but that's Vermont! . Room decor was a bit dated for the money. Not much else to choose from in the area, so they get their price. And, it was Vanlentine weekend and Presidents weekend in a skier's region. No discounts for the single traveler. First night was a bit noisy, with the neighbors, but when staff reached out after first night, I mentioned it, and they addressed it.

Our view was an amassing view of roofs and roof drain with some sort of dryed out material. Surprisingly you could hear everyones conversations in the hall way, in the room. All at typically high Bennington VT prices.

The hot water in the shower was barely warm. The air conditioning unit was so loud and noisy it sounded like rocks were being thrown around inside, kept us up all night.

Under staffed caused management to select me as one of the rooms that did not get cleaned or bring up clean towels Very disappointed for the type of money that I spent there. I am going to report this to Expedia and recommend not sending their people here. I did not like the attitude of not caring about a guest not receiving a proper change of bathroom toiletries.

We live in Vermont, but got caught in the blizzard and couldn't make it home. We tried another hotel first and were told they had no vacancies and weren't treated very well. When we got to Hampton Inn Bennington, the WONDERFUL overnight front desk professional, Anthony, was able to get us in a room and really made us feel cared for. Anthony took an overwhelmingly stressful day and helped create a safe, warm, relaxing night for us. I can't thank you enough, Anthony!

Breakfast was good. Comfortable beds. Very friendly staff allowed us access to the closed dining area's microwave so that we could heat up our dinners. They even stored our frozen food in the staff freezer for us and retrieved it when we needed it. Would stay again.

Check in people are great. The breakfast buffet is not great if you're health-conscious. The cut up fruit mix has added sugar which is disappointing and the eggs seem to be from a powdered mix. The biggest disappointment is there is no conditioner in the shower! I got in there with my long, tangled hair and had no conditioner! I couldn't believe it. They have good shampoo and shower gel on the walls and body lotion near the sink which smells great. I asked about conditioner the next day at the front desk and they gave me some small bottles of it but they don't put it in the bathrooms. I wish I would've known this BEFORE I got in the shower and washed my hair. I had to spend 40 minutes combing through my hair when I was done.
