There were ants in my room. The heating unit put off this horrible smell when the heat was on. Also, the treadmills in the gym were in horrible shape and kept slipping while I started my attempt to run. The Pelotan bike was a nice addition, however it was functioning and it appears the hotel let its subscription lapse. I couldn't even connect to the internet to try to utilize my own account. I have stayed in this hotel at least half a dozen times the past 2 years. I don't think I would stay again.

Hotel was at the end of renovation , rooms were done but main area- desk and breakfast room were not. We had to enter the hotel via back door that was also used by the construction workers. Elevator floor was undone . Our room was on the 3rd floor, next morning we were notified by one of the guests that elevator is not working and we need to use the stairs. My husband had crutches and he had to walk down to breakfast and up to the room , which was very hard. Management should give us first floor room as they knew the elevator will be used for construction . Also, when booked the room there was no mention the hotel is under renovation .

This Hampton Inn had good coffee, fresh cut fruit at breakfast, and all the equipment in the gym worked. (This has not been the case at some Hampton Inns I have stayed at.) The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a nice stay.

Not a lot of great options in the area. Has a pool the kids enjoy and the breakfast is good. If you use the pull out couch bed check it first thing. Last trip there were no sheets, this trip there were dirty sheets. It’s a good location.

Hotel under construction, stairs and elevator not working, have to walk to the other end of the hotel for available stairs, a true fire hazard, I could not believe that they where even open. The staff was so unprofessional, cursing in the dining room, telling us that if we did not like the situation we could always cancel and go somewhere else. I was so dissatisfied. I always stay at Hilton Hotels because they are clean, spacious and most important welcoming, Rutland Hampton Inn is none of that..I don't really ever complain this one hotel really gets 0 stars from me, nothing was readiming.

The shower floor was dirty in the shower the ceiling paint chipping everywhere. There was only a little bit of toilet paper and we ran out. For the price everything was dated.

I would give them 5 stars but they have a known issue with cold showers when the hotel is full. The person at the front desk said “yea that happens when lots of people shower at the same time”, as if to suggest it’s our fault for showering when people tend to shower. I appreciate the cleanliness and their TV setup that allows you to easily sign into your own Netflix account. I just can’t forgive cold showers.

I booked 2 rooms for the eclipse April 7 and 8 and was told I could modify the reservation without penalty anytime before April 2. On april 1 i called to cancel the second night, which they did. No mention of a penalty or any rate change. Whern i chedcked out, they charged me almost as much for the one night as i ould have paid for the 2. If I had been told that I would have kept the second night (although the hotel had committed to a set rate per night, see below): Pricing and rewards Pricing Room price Sun, Apr 7 $225.13 Mon, Apr 8 $225.13 Taxes $45.02 Total $495.28 Pay at property This hotel is guilty of price gouging, and deceptive business practices in my opinion . Do not stay here.

The property is due for refurbishment. Doors had gouges in them, the carpet in our room was separating from the wall. The young lady working the front desk was rude and acted bored. Very rude!

My room was somewhat comfortable until the fire alarm started chirping after I had gone to sleep. When I called down to the front desk, they told me that it just needed batteries. I then had to move rooms and my new room was dirty and the thermostat wouldn’t go below 75 degrees even though I set it to 64. I paid almost $200 for a dirty sauna experience to not be able to sleep before a very busy business day. When I checked out, I was not asked how my stay was. Instead I was just told that my receipt would be emailed and that was it. I don’t recommend spending your money here. It’s not even worth half of what I paid.

Always enjoy staying at this particular hotel when passing through. Young lady at the desk was particularly helpful and caring about my stay, as I was on a bereavement visit. Facility is very clean and well maintained. Only concern is that next door hotel is an unkempt property which is an eyesore. Not Hampton 's fault, it's just not attractive.

There seemed to be people living their vehicle in the neighboring business’ parking lot. There were old tires, folding chairs and refuse of an undetermined nature. To be fair, It was NOT in the Hotels lot but clearly visible from side of the building. I would not have felt safe at night if I had parked on that side of the hotel.

Liked the property Hot breakfast was awful!! Those eggs were the worst I’ve had snywhere. All three days, the omelette, the scrambled eggs- gross It’s Vermont- lots of chickens around. Get some real eggs.
