An older inn but very well kept up! Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed! There was lots of parking. We especially liked that we could walk most places. We also liked, the places we wanted to visit were close by. We did eat in the restaurant for breakfast and it was delicious!

The hotel is lovely. My negative was the pool being closed. Their outdoor pool is amazing and a main reason why I stay here. The weather was poor for skiing and it was a shame the pool was closed due to a maintenance issue.

Cozy, Quaint and Comfortable. The amenities are nearly endless, from the 2 onsite restaurants, to the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. pool bar, and game room. smack in the middle of downtown Stowe, you can practically walk to everything. Rooms are cozy, unique and well appointed, the bathrooms are spacious and stocked. everyone on site was super friendly and eagerly helpful. the location is just amazing, its a must stay when in Stowe.

Loved our stay here. The inn is in a great part of town and there’s a lot to do around. The room was cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was nice but a little too hot to stay in for more than a few mins. The pool was down for maintenance which was unfortunate. Overall the stay was great and will plan to return next year. The shuttle to the mountain and around town is also a huge benefit.

We really liked Stowe however our room at the Green Mountain Inn was in dire need of refurbishment. The toilet seat was battered and had chunks missing, and was clearly very old and smelt as such. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls in both the bathroom and main room. The bed nor the pillows were very comfortable and due to poor sound proofing (acknowledging that it's an old building) we were kept up by people talking in other rooms. The room was quiet small so the smell from the old toilet really filled it, and overall was quite unpleasant. One of the bathrobes in the closet was covered in what looked to be dust and dirt, which was very odd. I don't know if we just had a bad room or if this is what others are like. We know other people who have stayed here and they didn't have exactly the same experience. Location was great and were really liked that. We only stayed for one night which was more than enough though, if we had stayed more than one night I'd have been even more disappointed by the room. The staff were ok, however didn't bother to ask us how our stay was when we checked out. The pool area was a highlight with a fire pit.

The hotel itself and the pool area is excellent. The rooms needs attention! We never used the air conditioning because it was moldy. We did not use the kuerig coffee maker as it was rusty. The baseboards were dirty. The pillows were awful! The rest of the hotel was excellent! It felt like two different places.

Bed should have had the mattress replaced years ago. Room was nice. Small but functional and tidy. Bathroom floor was gross. Floor should be scrubbed. This one was bad. Several different grout colors. The Whip restaurant was the best part of our stay. We ate there twice and all food was excellent.

Was a really quint , clean hotel on Main Street Stowe, VT. Room was clean. Loved the decor especially the four poster bed which was comfortable, pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was small but clean. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Liked the afternoon tea and cookies . Quiet, safe area in the heart of downtown Stowe, VT. Lots of parking for the cars, but had to walk a long way so had to consolidate what we took in for the night, and once you parked if you left and went exploring you may have to walk even further to get to the door of the hotel.

We had most of our meals at the hotel, all of which were fantastic! All of the staff we dealt with were very friendly & welcoming. Erik at the registration desk was absolutely great! He handled our room change & was a wealth of information on the area. The hotel was the highlight of our visit to Stowe. Will definitely stay there whenever we return to the area. Truly amazing!!

It was a great anniversary get away. Jacuzzi tub, fireplace, wine glasses and robes. My only negative was the room was very warm and the a/c only went down to so far so a little hard to sleep but other than that it was a wonderful stay.

Despite outside temperature of approximately 68 degrees, room was well over 90 degrees. Heating unit was still on and air conditioning was off. Staff declined to come up and address the situation. Simply said to turn on air condition. It took all night before room was at reasonable temperature despite temperature being on max all night with temperature outside in low 60s. The next morning staff refused to allow me extra 30 minutes to check out. The woman claimed that someone was ready to check in. In reality, the parking lot was empty. Then when I checkout out the same woman was on the phone. While the physical plant was attractive and in relatively good condition. Problems with staff were significant for someone who never complains. This is a first and reflective of property where management needs to make some changes.

Beautiful old hotel with a lot of historical character. Restaurant food and service was excellent. However, be aware of an optional 6% "Resort Fee" which is added to your bill as the default. It is described as a tip for staff other than those in the restaurant. We asked to have it removed and to do our own tipping as appropriate, but when we checked out it had been re-added to our bill. It was eventually refunded, but seemed like a difficult process.

Just an amazing stay. Every single staff member couldn't do enough to make our experience top notch at any opportunity. Excellent pool/jacuzzi as well. Lady who checked us out (who was telling us all about Burlington) was exceptional and so friendly.

Great hot tub and pool and nice inn. Room heating system was too hot, had to run fan unit, no discernible control over ventilation system. It was like 3 systems running against each other. Bed was so so. Staff were very nice but inattentive in dining facility. The couple ahead of me at hostess station has been told someone would help them and they hadn't seen anyone again for awhile. I decided not to wait after hearing their experience so I asked front desk for help with to go food for the room. They said they'd place my order for me and call me in 25 mins, never got a call, never got any food. Staff was in disarray. Overall, not great stay.

Everything was really nice! ... except the staff making the breakfast was late opening. We were all their wanting to get to the slopes early and all of us waiting had to ring the bell to get someone to finally let us in the dining room and the kitchen staff didn't seem very pleasant. Although the breakfast buffet was pretty good. ... The lady at the counter in the lobby was very nice though! Would definitely stay here again!

Great experience! The Whip restaurant connected to the inn was wonderful, and the shuttle up Mountain Rd to the ski resort was very convenient. The area is gorgeous at Christmas time. When we arrived, Rye was working the front desk and was SO helpful and gave us great recommendations on restaurants and activities in the area. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay here at Green Mountain Inn. The location was great and we were able to walk to the main street for all the shops. It was also in a great spot to go up Mountain road to all the other activities and places that we wanted to go to.

This is a quintessential inn located in the heart of the lovely Stowe! Where to start. Excellent room, quaint but updated. Lots of space and the gas fireplace really was wonderful. Gorgeous indoor/outdoor hot tub and spa option. We loved the hot tub outside after a day skiing. Location is unbeatable. In the heart of Stowe, lots going on and a good restaurant within it too. The shuttle to the mountain is right across the street making the trip to Stowe to ski so easy. Stowe is really a lovely town and this inn made our experience that much better.

Nice hotel, but the room was in an annex, which was quite inconvenient. To access the lobby, fitness center, or other amenities, I had to walk outdoors in -20°C weather. Additionally, there was no room service, and takeout orders were not available—the only dining option was to sit down and eat at the restaurant.

We love visiting the Green Mountain Inn! The rooms are clean and quaint. The staff is friendly and the restaurants are excellent. We had breakfast each morning and dinner at The Whip on Saturday. If you’re visiting, I recommend making a reservation for The Whip, it books up quickly.

Stephanie was super pleasant & helpful @ check in. Room was well appointed & the bed & pillows were really comfortable. It’s in the perfect location to explore any part of Stowe that you would want. We had breakfast @ 18 Main & then dinner @ Whip. Both were delicious & so convenient.
