Loved the place. Sits right above a meadow overlooking the river with chairs and firesides where one can just relax. jacuzzi, Sauna and pool were very nice. Rooms a bit small IMO, but overall the place is gorgeous and so relaxing.

This is a nice hotel but for the price paid we were a little disappointed (especially as it did not include breakfast). Bed was very comfy and the shower was great but the fridge in the room was so loud I had to unplug it to be able to sleep. The air vent in the wall was also very loud. The room looks stylish but isn’t very practical, no counter space in the bathroom, all the tables and pictures were on a slope, and some of the lighting didn’t work. The person at check in was great though, very friendly and helpful. We used the hot tub outside, which was nice but again not very practical. We got changed in a ‘boot room’ and there were no lockers to put our stuff. You access the hot tub by going out the door from the indoor pool, but once you go outside you then can’t get back in (which we did not realise). So we had to walk through the bar area in our towels to get back to our stuff (not very fun). The focus of the design of the hotel seems to be on style, as it looks good, but not always well thought through on the practical side.

We loved the bluebird! The outdoor backyard was beautiful! We went in the hot tub at night overlooking the river. I did a little yoga in the yoga room off of the pool while the kids swam. We hopped into the sauna for a bit too! The room we chose had two bunk beds which was fun for the kids. The neat style of the hotel was fun and unique. We loved the downstairs lounge- played games and relaxed there. We’d def return and also look for BlueBird hotels in other locations. It reminded us of IKEA. :)

We loved our stay at Talta. The hotel has a hip Scandinavian vibe, with space to hang out in the lobby or bar. The hot tub overlooking the river and sauna were perfect after a day on the slopes. Room was comfortable, clean and bright.

Don’t fall for the Lark Hotel brand name. This is a motel with a facelift, exceedingly overpriced versus what they deliver. Room was not cleaned well, coffee tea bar was a joke and either missing hot water or tea every morning, hot tub was always overcrowded and full of people drinking despite the signs posted everywhere that alcohol was not allowed. I will not be returning nor recommending, and lark hotels should think twice about putting their brand name on this facility.

First, I'd like to commend your front desk representative, Payton. She was a delight, professional and accommodating. All my ratings are outside of her exceptional service. The hallways and rooms smell of mold and are not lit, just waiting for a fall and a liability for the hotel. Waiting until 7:00 a.m. for coffee is absurd - I recommend you change that to 6:00 a.m. While I waited in the lobby for the coffee, there were 8+ guests who came in for coffee and were as disappointed as I was that there was none. The following day, there was no half and half - poor planning, seems like there should have been a back up, easy. The grounds were not kept up with - each morning, there were empty glasses, trash, dirty towels. Disgusting. We were looking forward to sitting in the hot tub as well, but after seeing how many people were in it and seeing absolutely NOONE treating it with chemicals the entire time we were there, that was a hard no. The bar area is darling, I can imagine how fun it would be during ski season. The only saving grace that made our stay enjoyable was the beautiful grounds, the Adirondack chairs we sat on each morning and evening overlooking the river. We saw a black bear which was exciting and enjoyed a roaring fire made by wonderful Payton! We'd come back if some or all of these issues were resolved. Thank you - I'm not normally a complainer, but some of these comments are an easy fix and will help others have an enjoyable stay.

We had a very pleasant stay at Talta. We were up in Vermont for a ski trip and the hotel was conveniently located only 5 min drive from the mountain. The rooms were a bit smaller than expected considering the price. We ended up getting upgraded from our first room because it was not clean (found hairs on the bed and in the bathroom). But the front desk staff handled the situation wonderfully and upgraded us immediately with no issues. The lobby and bar/lounge area were so cute and cozy. If you’re not looking for anything too big and want to be close to the mountain, I definitely recommend Talta.

I only stayed at this hotel for one day, but I absolutely loved it! The room was spotlessly clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I’ll definitely be back!

The lodge is beautiful with great community space. The room was clean however we were on the bottom floor and the room had a strange musty smell. The toiletries were AMAZING though! I would stay again but would request top floor.

Great location and price. The only problem we had was noise from other people around us. The floor of the corridor was poorly made so when you walked it was like a trampoline that every step was loud. My wife tried to have a relaxing day reading and sleeping, but kids kept on running up and down the corridor all day disturbing her.

Loved our River view room as it was quieter than facing the road and no headlights in our windows. The setting is lovely and we enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Wish we could have stayed more than 1 night. Easy check-in too. Vermont products for shower a nice touch and having a refrigerator and wine glasses and wine opener as well. We would stay again ! More to enjoy like the sauna and fire pits and lounge area.

Great experience at Talta. Small boutique with very friendly staff. Felt very intimate but with great amenities including indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, pop up restaurant, and bar downstairs with a very cool vibe. Rooms were comfortable with modern amenities, although a little on the small size. Only downside was that the walls were thin, we could hear people outside and coughing in adjacent rooms.

Got this room last minute. It was clean and the bed was super comfy but the lighting in the room was extremely scarce making it dark. The room next doors deck was literally outside our window, making it impossible to open our window shade to let in the sunlight. I definitely would not recommend room 133.

Staff were nice. Location is good between the village and the mountain. We were four in a car so we got free resort parking at stowe, therefore it was far more convenient for us to drive than to take the bus. And in fact most people staying at Talta drove even without the benefit of free carpool parking. The bus stop is right by Talta, but it doesn't come often enough. We tried once, and waited 30 minutes before giving up. The rooms are small. There is no interior closet, or drawers for clothes. Each room has a closet in the hall. It lacks a hanger or rod or hooks or shelves, so you can only pile things on the floor. Maybe best for your suitcases, if there were drawers in the room to stow your clothes. The boot changing room and boot dryer is nice. Dont forget to hit the 30-minute drying button on the left! I wish the room were upstairs. The hot tub entrance to the pool locks automatically, and somebody has to let you back in while you are standing there freezing. It is a horrible system. I wrote picky comments for everyone's benefit, but this is still one of the best places I have stayed while skiing.

We love staying at Talta! This was our 2nd stay and plan to check out their sister hotels. The staff are all so nice and it's a very relaxed environment. Dog friendly and plenty of parking. We loved walking by the river and enjoying the pool and outdoor hot tub! My only complaint is there is no drawers or dresser/shelving for clothes and just a few hangers that are directly above the coffee station.

Fantastic hotel. Very quiet, and of all the places we stayed at during our trip, this room was the biggest. I liked the design of the room, and the bathroom was spotless. Our main complaint is that the AC was VERY loud when it went off. It looked on the older side, and would probably benefit from an update. Traveling with a cooler, we prefer fridges with freezers, which this one lacked. We would definitely stay there again, and we highly recommend it overall.

We had the option to upgrade to the stuga king which I highly recommend but we were put in stuga one which is next to the fire alarm test closet and the beep of the alarm goes off 24 hours. Needless to say we barely slept. When I purchased my booking I saw a walk out but I was put in a balcony stuga not walk out like the one I reserved so that was very disappointing. The resort itself and grounds are very well kept and cleaned. Staff is not very friendly, seemed like we were a bothered more than anything. Also, I received a call, text and voicemail about late check in but we already had checked in over 5 hours ago. Little disorganized

Excellent stay! I'll be back again and again.. This is a great property located right on the river with plenty of fire-pits an outdoor hot tub and a great little bar in the lower level.. My dog loved the spot and their team loved my dog which always makes traveling a little easier.. Daylen and Lynn are awesome and understand hospitality, they made my stay feel incredibly warm and friendly.

My husband and I booked this place through Expedia. Upon arrival the front desk staff were so kind and so helpful with getting us settled into our room. We loved the easy parking. We could back right up to porch which was at our room. The front desk staff were so helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do in the area which was fabulous. The creek/hot tub and all the amenities outside are fantastic. It’s so quiet and relaxing here. We could have just sat out there for hrs listening to the water and enjoying the scenery. The only complaint I had with staying here was we were there for 3 days and only for cleaning service once. I had to go to the front desk to get clean towels on our second day. Other than that little incident I would say it was a perfect stay. The room was clean the staff was great and we had a blast.

This hotel offered us much more than what was described on its website. Outdoor furniture is spread throughout the large backyard along the river, where we spent time enjoying our morning coffee and relaxing after hiking. We also enjoyed the live Irish music on Thursday evening. The Stowe Recreation Path is within a short distance (0.25 mi).

We stayed for a weekend and had the greatest time. Their in-house bar has amazing drinks and snacks (must try the pretzel bites!). The staff were very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. We stayed in the king room, it was small but they make it up with great deco, awesome river views, and even as simple as it sounds - providing great coffee options in the room.

Nice resort- lovely hot tub and walking grounds. No breakfast except weekends. No elevator. Check in was great- got us a different room we wanted. Restaurant across the road serves breakfast with a discount courtesy.

Everything was great. Rooms clean, beds and bedding super comfortable. Staff excellent. Very kind and helpful. Really loved the decor and vibe. Definitely would stay again next time in the area. A few constructive suggestions: The free coffee - the hot wasn’t very good. It came for a. Cold brew machine of sorts maybe that was the issue? So simple to have a decent thing of hot coffee it was kind of a bummer. They could use dairy alternative milks which are pretty standard these days also. They did have a delicious ice coffee though. They sell some prepackaged l muffins in the fridge at the desk but options super limited. I don’t think they need a big breakfast but a few more options for peeps heading out early to the slopes would be great. I would think there would be a bakery in town happy to sell them a dozen or two pastries they could sell each morning. Lastly, there is not much light in the rooms. Fine for us because we all had phones and laptops, but I also brought a regular old book and there was not enough light to read without sitting in a particular corner of the bed and angling the light directly on my books which in turn made the rest of the room even darker. this would have been a huge issue for my parents who both read old fashioned paper not electronics. And the very last thing I would point out is in our room at least there was one smaller window with frosted glass but there was no shade. We wanted to be up early but it was winter- summer this would be bad

Friendly staff, had a little themed restaurant, we were there on Japan theme, maybe it’s always Japan I don’t know, anyway beautiful mountain scenery. We had a rear room so we faced the river, very nice. Pool is indoor and hot tub is outside. Staff makes you feel comfortable. Also a bar on premises.

Renovated and super clean. I enjoyed the heated pool and sauna after a day of skiing. Bonus points for local beers on tap and the coffee bar! I’ll be returning for sure!
