Timberholm Inn

Beautiful location and views!! Peaceful and serene setting. Very helpful staff. Hanna is just AMAZING!!! Checking in was a 1 minute process. Scan a QR put in a line or two of info and DONE!!! Lodge is rustic. Massive stone fireplace. Great room filled with an eclectic mix of comfortable couches and chairs. Rooms are a little snug. The bed we had was comfortable. Another highlight over the views... BREAKFAST!!! Bacon, eggs, freshly baked Muffins, Coffee cake, Bagels and more!!! We will be back for the bacon alone!! Thick sliced and crispy!! We arrived the day after a snowfall and there were still a few flurries which made the views even more stunning!!

I don’t want to give a “bad” review because for the price, it was fine. Just a few things that lacked expectations that I am used to in accommodations. The room condition was good. Clean, beautiful view. Bed was ok, old and lumpy. The biggest issue with the room was being able to literally hear everything in other rooms. Even people snoring. Breakfast was good, but served later like 8 or later which we didn’t partake but once because being there to ski, we left before breakfast served. Another thing about breakfast was the woman who was cooking, her kids were there going from table to table to the guests. They were maybe 5-7 years old but I could tell one couple was very annoyed because they were just trying to enjoy their breakfast and the children literally sat at there table with them and wouldn’t leave them alone. My boyfriend and I both have adult children so it’s not that we don’t like kids, but don’t want to be bothered by them on our vacation. The kids were also the only people we saw upon checkout. I put the key in the basket on the desk and the kid took it out…I’m hoping it got to the manager. I didn’t like not seeing anyone at the desk to chat/greet. The only person we ever saw was the woman cooking. The first time we saw her she never said anything. The second time she said hi and asked how we were. The hot tub was broken the first night but was fixed quickly. The game room is cool but we couldn’t play shuffle board bc there was no sand. Great location

Cozy cabin with great views from the free delicious continental breakfast area (lots of milk alternatives for those with allergies). Fireplace is prepared with wood, kindling and directions. Shelf full of board games to explore. Great value for the price and distance from Stowe. Will be staying again!

Stowe is firmly implanted in my brain as an amazing place to visit, and the Timberholm plays a big part of this. Just a few minutes drive outside of the town centre, it's easily accessible and yet far away enough that it feels secluded and peaceful. What a gorgeous lodge too, with all kinds of activities and a huge fireplace with roaring flames if you just want to chill. Breakfast is included and served fresh, and the rooms are small but perfect. The bed was the comfiest I've stayed in for years.

The is a throwback to the ski lodges of yesteryear. No noisy bar, little rooms with heavenly bed, quiet lovely setting, spacious living room with a big fireplace and cosy big sofas and chairs. Not fancy, priced right, and after our delicious breakfast, we swore to make this a special escape in any season. And next time plan on using" the hot tub.!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, much more than I expected including homemade muffins and pastries along with a hot buffet. The large deck offers nice mountain views and is perfect for nighttime stargazing. Finally, the location is within walking distance of some breweries, bars, and restaurants. I'll definitely go back.

I was very dissatisfied with the outdoor space due to it, not being cleaned off at all there was debris the entire time we were there. You were unable to go out on the deck at all due to this. I’m aware you can’t control the weather conditions, but you can clean it at least daily or every other , some kind of effort.. The parking lot did not have enough spots for everyone , so it was double parked at times. Three or four times a night we would be woken up from the upstairs people, I believe they live there. It sounded like they were bowling upstairs. Everyone staying there was quite nice. I believe it’s a nice place to stay if you want just to sleep as long as upstairs people could be quiet. I have stayed in quite a few bed-and-breakfast‘s, and always enjoyed them, but I believe this was my last one.

Amazing second stay at Timberholm Inn. We absolutely love it here. The place is so cozy and welcoming. Absolutely love the homemade breakfast every morning and we made great use of the hot tub each night. Can’t wait to come back next year!

We love staying here and plan on going back in the winter as well. The Inn is clean and cozy, with a beautiful view and grounds where you can sit and make yourself at home. Hannah is welcoming and kind innkeeper, and makes fantastic breakfasts.

Pretty scenery, nice setting and location. Linden Room is very small...just big enough for some space around bed and one suitcase. Internet and tv service is spotty. Tv doesn't allow access to common things like Monday Night Football. Overall room was clean and facilities maintained well. There was quite a bit of dust on lamps and tv. Beautiful grounds. Check in was automatic and easy. We were surprised that innkeeper wasn't there to greet us at 6 pm checkin, but it worked out well. Overall good experience but disappointed by tiny room size.

Breakfast was with the inn keepers kids that were very active and misbehaving . They were running around touching the guests food. Then we wanted to sit at the deck for coffee . The chairs were dirty and all wet . The room was clean but so small that were were not able to move around . Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Not like the description on the website . In addition, it was a little far from the town center and pricey .

Room was musty and had what I believe was mold staining on walls. Place could be nice but they need to dump a bunch of cash into the place. Breakfast was Fantastic and the inn keeper on site was wonderful!

We wouldn’t stay here again, we had this booked since the 26th October 2023, and they took payment immediately at the time of booking. If we were to cancel before 4th September 2024, there was to be a charge of £20.66 to do so. We then got an email prior to arrival on the 8th of September ((after the cancellation period) to say that they would impose a further $30 CLEANING FEE on top of what we had already paid! I really don’t think this is a fair way of doing things at all. To cancel would have cost us $27 to do so, but they impose the cleaning charge which we object to as my husband was checking the room before we left and looked under the bed to ensure we had left nothing behind and suffice to say, their cleaning charge is a joke as there was so much fluff, dust and hair underneath the bed and they have the audacity to charge $30 when clearly they haven’t done a sufficient job in the first place. Had we known about this additional “cleaning charge” we would have used the extra money to book alternative accommodation of a higher standard. In all our years of travelling, we have never had such a charge imposed. We did not see or meet “ Hannah” at all during our stay, breakfast was just ok, we were relieved we only booked one night here.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay! Family owned and they were so kind. Most beautiful rustic, clean logged home with beautiful cozy rooms. Would absolutely return!

The location, views, overall amenities and staff friendliness make this place worth visiting again. Do not pick the Cedar Room. To call that glorified closet a room is blasphemy. Smaller than a cruise cabin. Having to turn sideways to brush your teeth was a new experience. Noisy and paper thin walls were not an issue for us, but, it might be for other travelers.

They billed me for two rooms though I had only reserved one. Rooms are so small the bed takes up the whole space. Door to the hall let in a lot of light at night. The door to the bathroom in my room stuck badly. Also very inconvenient getting around the door to get to the toilet

The breakfast food was very good and the lobby was very comfortable. The one bad problem was the late night noise from other tenants that prevented sleep.

Beautiful property and delicious breakfast. Walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything from your neighbors. The Inn supplied white noise machines but you can still hear talking and slamming doors thru the night. There was no water pressure at all in the shower, so you’re not able to wash your hair.

Great view off the deck with a late afternoon glass of wine. When the sun went down and temps dropped we moved into the charming rustic charming great room. We particularly want to thank Hannah for moving breakfast up a half an hour, so that we could get to the UVM graduation on time. She went out of her way to give us a full breakfast, on short notice.

My husband and I spent 2 wonderful nights at the Timberholm Inn and loved it. The property had wonderful views and the Inn was cozy and welcoming. The innkeeper was fabulous and made our stay enjoyable. Also wonderful was the locally roasted coffee specially designed for the Timberholm.

Hannah, the innkeeper, made a fantastic breakfast including a delicious vegan option for my partner. The lounge was really cosy and had an extensive board game selection which we made use of in the evenings, as well as hot drinks available at all times. The Timberholm Inn was beautiful and we would absolutely return!

Great location in the heart of Stowe mountains. Amazing service and top class breakfast

Our stay was excellent as a couple getaway destination. We enjoyed everything during our stay . The service was perfect with delicious breakfast option every morning. The location is perfect with access to near by activities, including many restaurant choices. This is a lovely place to stay!

Hotel is in a great location set in a forested area with amazing views from veranda and garden out of the back. The people are extremely helpful and friendly. The layout of the hotel with breakfast facilities sharing tables with other guests generates making new friends and conversing with other people very easy. The bedrooms are quite small and compact but do have all facilities. Maybe a bit of a squeeze if you are a larger couple.

The breakfast was outstanding! Fresh fruit, homemade scones and muffins, and a hot option each morning - bacon and eggs one day, crepes another. It was fun hanging out by the fire in the main room with the other guests and we felt like guests in someone’s home. The bed was super comfy but the bathroom was is in need of major updates. Overall, however, we enjoyed the rustic atmosphere.
