There was no restaurant bar / lounge as advertised on their website Very disappointed

Though the employees were nice and there was a good breakfast… this is a very rundown hotel that is in an area I wasn’t comfortable walking around in. The fitness room was NOT as described and the first room we were put in didn’t have a working thermostat or a smoke detector.

Everything in the Hotel was broke except the register to charge you! The many things wrong was the ATM was out of order, then vending machine was out of order, the gym combination code on door didn't work couldn't get in, the elevator went out of order after we checked in on the fourth floor with 42 stairs I had to walk up & down, and I'm disabled, and after breakfast we had to walk up the 42 stairs to the fourth floor and the key wouldn't open the door so luckily my wife walked down to the desk to get a new key. I stayed at this Hotel before and had no problem it was great but this time I doubt if I'll stay at a Clarion Hotel again especially this one in Renton. It's funny all the Clarion Hotels I stayed at, the elevators don't work? What a nightmare!!!

The place was in complete disrepair, ice machines didn't work, my refrigerator was not plugged in and I didn't realize it until I was getting ready to eat my salad that was spoiled. The chair in my room was comfortable but so stained I took a towel to place on it before I sat down. Carpet thin, bed too soft, my back is awful at this point. I could go on and on, I had do not disturbe but maid banged on my door one hour before offical check out. Disgusted. I don't give bad reviews but this sucked.

Thr room was adequate but the tub needs resurfacing. The property was not well maintained. Marks all over the window sill and bathroom door. Dirty bed skirt. Business center out of order. Breakfast was not well manned, as food was gone with over an hour left for the meal. Onevroom key given for 2 people.

Staff was nice and helpful and the hotel area was safe and quiet. The breakfast was good. The hotel is just old and run down. The carpet in my room was very dirty, so make sure to walk in your room with footwear. My closet door was broken and thus unable to open. They had no airport shuttle but Uber is widely used if one needs to come & go to the Seattle Airport. Overall, it was not very bad and good for those who are on a tight budget, but you get what you pay for and that was the situation here.

New owners at hotel need to shut down and repair things not working, includes tv, phones, elevator, ice machine. Also major cosmetic work needed. We didn’t stay.

We got in thinking there was a restaurant and bar as advertised… NOPE! ATM not working, business center down, Ice machine down… got into our room to BLOOD AND FECES ON THE BED! Pictures show this. Staff was great and fixed it but there were no other rooms anywhere due to a concert and other things going on in the city. The hotel was just NASTY. Even after they changed the bedding and mattress pad we got our own blankets to sleep on and under. I can’t believe that Choice hotels would be ok with this! We spoke to HOTELS.com the next day and the manager told them because we stayed we couldn’t get a refund or discount. The staff on the other hand was embarrassed and ready to refund everything. They kept the bedding in a bag to show the manager and housekeeper!! GROSS! They had a guest who also kept pulling the fire alarm so that was a great inconvenience for the whole hotel at night! If you like your money and not to be lied to and treated like you don’t matter… DO NOT STAY HERE! Obviously the manager cares more about money than making up for a biohazard! I’ll be sending these pics to the corporate team and health department today as well! Someone needs to let them know this isn’t alright. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Walk away from this listing!

The lobby flooring and floors by the elevator need updated and the ice machine didn't work.

The worst hotel we have stayed at in at least a decade. Broken elevator, lobby a mess, laundry out of order, vending machines out of order, pot smoke everywhere.

The hole building smell like Marijuana an inside the room smell like wet rag..

Smelled like weed all throught the hotel and cigarettes. Floors were sticky from not being moped rooms were dirty didnt look vaccumed at all

Clerk was on the phone complaining about a customer while I was trying to check in. Once in room, we found a toenail sitting on the pad of paper along with the hotel pen. Then tucked in the closet corner was someone’s spandex bodysuit. Carpet was so dirty my feet stuck to it and left black footprints in the shower (enter flip flops). One a positive, this hotel had some of the nicest towels I have had at a hotel

The room was dirty, bed sheet stained, bath tub stained, toilet was dirty. The shower head had rust and mold. I couldn’t even shower. The room smelled like cigarettes and I have asthma. Spent $550 just to check in for 30 minutes and had to check out immediately for the sake of my health. Spent another $700 to book another hotel last minute at 2am. Was not refunded for the stay either. Save your money and pay a little more else where, Do not book here.

Dirty floor and bath tub.

The bathroom floor was dirty the sink you could see the accumulation of dirt the room was smoke free and smelled like cigarettes the air conditioning definitely didn't work it's better to pay a little more if you can really look for another I recommend it

I chose this hotel because I thought Clarion hotel was a nice, clean, safe place to stay. I couldn't have been more wrong. Not safe, dirty, reeks of cigarette smoke, and quite a few ladies of the night milling around. If my credit card hadn't charged I would have left in a heart beat. The room was....well had an odd odor about it, multiple hairs in the bathtub, the bathroom floor was broken in several places. The TV worked sort of. First the remote wasn't paired to the TV, had to wait in line for another 30 minutes to talk to the front desk agent. She gave me a piece of paper with directions on how to pair the remote. Once the TV was on and paired the fun began. Turn the TV on with the power button on the TV, use the remote to change the channel but get up go to the TV to turn the volume up and down. The volume had to be slightly higher than I like to drown out the noises of guests engaging in personal activities. Definitely will NOT return to this hotel or any other Clarion brand hotel.

Where to start…. the room had a very musty, pungent odour when we opened the door; garbage in the room garbage cans to start; the bathroom fan was dirty…. easily seen since the vent cover was missing….; the bathtub had some white paint or something splattered inside it; and lastly, the door latch was broken off. The deadbolt worked though. The staff themselves were very nice and friendly. We never addressed any of these issues with them.

The website pictures do NOT show the deterioration of this hotel. The tub had horrible stains, the outlets didn’t have covers, the windowsill was marked horribly by a children's markings, the coffe maker was missing the basket to put the grounds, and the desk chair should be put by a curb for trash it was so bad!

Very comfy beds and a good breakfast. Walls thin so not always quiet but overall excellent!

This was a good room for a one night stay. The bedding and linens were plentiful, the bed and pillows comfortable. The TV and AC functioned well though the channel lineup was very limited. I did come across a couple of creepy crawlers which I quickly dispatched. The breakfast included was good. The staff were very friendly and professional.

I reserved a room for 2 adults and the room was large, has a separate living room area and nice king bed. Very nice. Two pull out sofas in the living room.

Clarion offers a practical family suite with a king size bed, and a pull out sofa bed with a divided room. Both rooms have television sets, which is helpful for multiple family members. The comforters and linens or clean and soft. The bed mattress was very comfortable and support us. A microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker were available. Overall, a good stay before catching a plane at SeaTac However, there is one caveat: the ceiling insulation is very thin, and we could hear the arrival of upper room guests and every single foot step they took in the early morning hours which made sleeping very difficult.

The hotel is very dated, old, smells like cigarettes and weed. They surround everyone who gets a room together in the same area. So you can hear everyones business throughout the day and night..Room was half ass cleaned when I got there. Very convenient for people wanting to go to fortune poker and the casino but I had a baby with me and definitely should have went a little more expensive with my hotel choice. The people upstairs, every time they walked, sounded like they were going to fall through the floor. Just the floor cracking with every step. I would probably just spend an extra $50 bucks to get a better hotel tbh.

That property is way outdated. I would say it was on the edge for me to accept it as a week stay. Room cleaning is Monday and Friday. Same is related to towels change. Paint is old, door handles barely hold. It was an ongoing repair during our stay which was noisy. And I almost fall from my chair watching how these contractors work. I was LOL.

Walls very thin, heard guy upstairs pace around all night.

Very nice helpful staff. Clean and reasonably priced. But in need of updating; specifically the tub, sink, drapes, carpet, and closet door were all old and dingy

No hot water and shower did not work. Did not realize until morning when I was checking out. At check in. Staff not friendly. Not even a hi. Just asked for my id. Check out was better. At least I got a smile and thank you

I’ve stayed here a few times in the past. With mediocre experience. You get what you pay for. Except last time I couldn’t even shower, shower head fell off. When I told front desk about it during check out, he handed me an extra brown bag of food since covid didn’t allow their breakfast to be available. There was trash around the hallways and the elevator. This time, the fridge was really noisy. Which thankfully turning on the AC in the room would drown out the sound a little. I went to bed around 11pm. There was constant noise directly above me like someone was playing pro wrestling, moving furniture, and taking zumba class occurring all at the same time, the hallways had people running up and down the hallways like theres a fire. Called to complain about upstairs noise. Asked what room I was in and that they would check it out. Never called me back. Noise continued way past 3am until I was too tired to hear it anymore. I stay here for the parking convenience and to play Poker next door. I leave town every few months to relax by myself or to bring friends/family and this was the go-to hotel. Not anymore.

We arrived at this hotel shortly before three and was approached by a woman going outside saying I can’t check you till after three very rudely and then I walked away. That was just the introduction to our check-in that check in there was a lineup we were asked to provide all our identification, not just one in the room. We were then told that we had to pay extra for the room, even though we had booked for everyone in the room and was told that she would reduce it from 80 to 40 even though the group ahead of me just got charged extra as well and they were only charged 40 not 80. I’m not sure what is occurring here, but I was not impressed. Our room was old. The plugs were not working, and the tub was stained and needed some work. I would never stay here again.

The front desk staff went above and beyond to always help me, the maids never bothered us but were always ready to exchange linens or bath towels if needed. The maintenance man was also willing to help when ever he was needed. All these employees had axcellent customer service with a smile.... .did i mention the one in a million amazing breakfast........ thank you guys for everything.

The woman checking us in was great. The place is worth it for the price.

Was able to check in early which was great, but always numerous shady people in and about the property, constantly smelled strongly of weed, fire alarm went off multiple times during our three day stay - we were told someone was smoking in their room every time. When asked about coffee by front desk they were rude and said “I’ll make it when I get to it,” and when asked about when we could come back and get some was told “leave me alone and let me do my job.” Horrible experience. Will never go back.

We stayed 7 days and the room was cleaned once even though we asked everyday. We ate the same breakfast every morning (no variety) and no cranberry juice provided even though offered. The 2 clothes washers were out of order even though advertised as having an active laundry room. Something nice, the hotel is located 5 minutes from a large mall that had plenty of restaurants around it to choose from.

The bathrooms needed to be updated but the room was neat and clean. Had a dedicated closet for my clothes Very convenient for my business trip- near major arteries to get anywhere. Close to airport and staff was very nice and helpful assisted me ti book another night in the same room.

Good location

The staff was polite but the area is sketchy- parking lot has broken down cars and hotel is very old and outdated.

Good places to eat close, not 5 star but an easy spot to spend the night, solid breakfast.

It's a bit of a distance from the 5 but it is a nice hotel.

The staff could not have been nicer nor more polite. The amazing loudness of the Harley dealership across the street was my only distraction.

The noise was largely due to the casino right next door! Breakfast was reasonably good. Help at the front desk and in the dining area was rather sullen. Value was marginal-- and not an especially good reflection on the Clarion name.

We had a great stay we have been here before and it was great then too! The staff is very helpful and friendly and the breakfast is always delicious. We will definitely stay here again thank you

The Clarion at Renton had an excellent hot breakfast. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will choose this hotel again.

Sheets had stains, everything had a sticky residue on it, very dated decor and the floor was very uneven resulting in cracked tile all around the property. Breakfast was a bunch of frozen food that was reheated & thrown in a warming tray.

Staff was indifferent. Dirty towel in the tub. TV wasn't working. Orange juice and cranberry juice was watered down. No potatoes at breakfast. Not enough handicapped parking. Not worth $100 a night.
