This has been one of my go to hotels in the Seattle area for years. Unfortunately this property is starting to look a little rough. I like the art work they have, better than the bland painting in most hotels. The rooms are big with a small kitchen. The area is quite, but not too far from Southcenter and the airport. They really need a refresh. The carpets are warn, the is obvious wear and tear in the rooms. There are a number of temporary fixes around the property. I will still go there, the staff is great and I like the location, but I hope they do a remodel soon.

I was only staying at Larkspur one night as I was going to Idaho and Montana, but I wish I was staying there for my entire vacation. Through the years I have stayed at numerous hotels in the U.S. and Larkspur is by far the best. The rooms are silent and very clean and are like small apartments with a nice kitchen, a big refrigerator etc.

The hotels is an older well used hotel that is reasonably well maintained. The staff was great. A $15 per night vehicle parking charge is required which is NOT noted on the main page of the Hotels.com property information but on a sub-page. This is terrible deceptive business practice and needs to be stopped. The $15 gotcha charge also does not come up as a final all costs included prices page but as a final step of registration. Not equitable when arriving late on a rainy Seattle night. There is another competitive hotel next door if you do not support Larkspur/Hotel.com poor business practices.

The staff was rude. The rooms were big but dated and stale they told us we couldn’t stay in the room we were in another night due to booking and had to move rooms with 20 suitcases of stuff and that night I needed to get something I left from the room and another staff member took me up there to get it the room was vacant I was not happy the staff seemed to have an issue with gay women and just wanted to make our stay uncomfortable. We moved hotels the next day.
