no elevator. nice room but toilet made a screeching Sound every time will go back again

Very close to everything. Across from the water. Rooms were nice. Stairway is steep, and halls were suffocatingly hot.

For probably 30 or 40 years, this was a great little place to relax: quiet, near the lake, with very helpful staff. It had a little pool, jacuzzi, and deck. We used to go once or twice a year for many years, then more recently couldn't go for several years. When we were able to return recently, we were extremely disheartened to find that the new owner has no idea what the "hospitality" business requires. we had booked this online and stated our expected arrival time in the evening. when we arrived there was no one at the front desk and when this guy finally came out he was rude, annoyed by our business. over the weekend we saw no additional staff. The deck was overgrown with weeds, the pool and jacuzzi were closed. The balconies, which used to be so pleasant, now have those cheap extremely bright LED lights which ruin the experience of sitting out in the evening enjoying the quiet and the lake. Not recommended!

Do not let an unmanned desk deter you from staying here. We made a simple call from the supplied house phone and a gentleman was to the front desk within just a couple of minutes. Check in went smooth at this family owned lodge/hotel, the room was nice and clean, beds were comfortable, cable TV worked well, had a small table with 2 chairs, plus it has a dorm fridge and microwave that also worked well. Housekeeping was pretty good and came and remade our beds and restocked our towels while we were out. The only thing that's slightly negative I have to say is housekeeping forgot to leave an extra roll of toilet paper but aside from that everything else was great! We had a 2nd floor room and if you enjoy seeing a lighthouse every day I highly suggest reserving a Harbor View room. 2nd floor rooms do have a pretty small balconies with 2 chairs which give great views of the Kewaunee lighthouse; though to see it you do have to stand as the railing is pretty high for everyone's safety. A mini Continental breakfast with Coffee is supplied in the morning, instant oatmeal, prepackaged cinnamon rolls and also muffins. I did not see any juices or milk as an alternative drink choice. On the upside there is a convenience store located right across the street! The hotel DOES NOT have an elevator so if that's an issue for you then this lodge is not for you. To get to the 2nd level you will climb 20ish steps ( I didn't count them just guessing) All in all we will stay here again!

Nice owners. Outside could use some work but hotel is very clean.

Hotel was nice but very basic. Everything in area closes early, and hotel had 1 soda machine which didnt work. Had no way to get something to drink all night

It was not clean.

Bath Linens were stained. Slow drain in tub left me standing in ankle deep water by the end of my shower. Loose plugs in wall left only one spot that would support my charger.

The halls smelled musty. Upon entering the room there were stains on the bedspread and my boyfriend walked right through a spider web. The towels were definitely old, stained and very thin. The chair had holes and a clear bloodstain. Would never stay here again!

Nice enough little place in a great location. Some attention to detail as in cleaning would be nice (very visible dirt in corner of bathroom floor) but overall a good place.

This is a very nice hotel, in a wonderful location. Across the street from Lake Michigan, with a great breakfast restaurant - Anchor Down Family Restaurant- just a block away. The room I had was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay. Balconies could use a cleaning. Cobwebs all over everything. Everything we needed was walking distance.

Older but very clean! Patio was nice with 2 basic chairs nice view. Coffee in lobby not so great but there is small coffee pot in room. Nothing fancy but we appreciated the location, cleanliness and comfort it provided. Would stay again and recommend to family.

New paint and carpet help a lot. Older building but you can see the attempts to update. Great location for day trip to door cty. And kewaunee has quaint downtown!

Our room was very basic-clean and safe/secure feeling. It was fine for us and quiet when the window air conditioning unit was on. Our little balcony was very nice and the view of the harbor was great. Only problem was the noise when the door was opened. We received a discount with our Expedia points so the price was more in line with the property/stay value for our two nights in the area.

Unfortunately our room was on the side facing the industrial section and not facing the lake. The room was not bad but the bathroom floor wasn’t very clean and there are no windows, just patio doors without screens so we couldn’t enjoy the fresh air - we were on the bottom floor and someone was smoking outside so it came right into our room. There were also some loud women but that was no fault of the hotel. It was a nice stay, but not sure if we’d stay again.

Extremely comfortable beds/pillows! A/C worked well in heat. Good shower!

Okay for the price we paid. The toilet made a loud shriek every time we flushed. The bed was not comfortable. There was only one shampoo for the 3 of us. Fortunately we brought our own. We had a good view of the Kewaunee harbor though!

This property is old but clean and comfortable. Perfect for the price.

Nice clean, fairly quiet place to stay for a night. Only complaints LOW toilet. couch has seen it’s better days for sure. Felt like I was sitting on the floor, very hard to get out of. Easy in, easy out. Lots of stuff within walking distance.

We did not check in until after midnight. The service for this late hour was superb.

Check-in person was not the friendliest. Handicapped room had very low toilet, which was challenging. Sink not attached to wall in a solid way. Towels were chintzy.Remodel job had been done poorly. Great view.

I have stayed here several times now and keep coming back. Best value for my dollar, comfortable and great staff.

Great hotel and a great location. Was not busy at all and I don’t know why. Super nice guy behind the counter that was very helpful. Highly recommend if you are in the area or are looking for a budget friendly hotel!

When try to check in there wasn’t anyone in the office. The number to call on the house phone didn’t work. Cell call to the hotel no answer. A note on the counter indicates another person had been there and nobody there to check him in. Message was for clerk to call. We left and came back two hours later and the clerk was there.

It is right across the street from the lake and walkable to have drinks outside.

Nice clean motel, great location, convenient to everything.

Room was clean and it was not too far from all the places we wanted to visit in door county, but far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of the fall season tourists.

The highway started getting busy at 4:30 a.m., boats, trucks, motorcycles, but it was actually interesting to see summer tourism in Kewaunee! The convenience store across the street is ideal! The harbor area is so nice!

Well priced option in a very small town from where to explore the door county peninsula, good sized room with a fridge and a tv and decent bathroom.

This hotel was perfect for the 1 night we needed after the Green Bay football game. A little far from the stadium but not too bad. There is a bus service you can use that takes you to/from the game for a few which was perfect! Clean hotel and just what we needed for the night.

The balcony was scenic. Very low key place about 35 mins outside of Green Bay. Scenic drive and a cute little town

Nice little hole in the wall place very cozy and not a long drive to Green Bay to the Packers game. The only thing I wish they had was breakfast.

Older amenities, but everything was very clean, so I was good with it. Continental breakfast included undrinkable coffee and two choices of packaged pastries that were well past their expiration dates. It's fine for a short in and out stay.

The hotel is convenient to the harbor and our room was very clean but dated. In an off the tourist grid hotel it was good. The only addition I would suggest is a better free breakfast for guests. Maybe a waffle maker? Good hotel overall and I’d recommend!

After checking in I did nots see another person until left the next morning. Juice and coffee was geat.

I lived that I could grab a coffee and walk the harbor. Beautiful views and access to a sandy bwach. Will definitely stay again
