Wildwood Lodge

We travelled late September and the weather was mild. We enjoyed sitting in front at the gas fire pit! It was lovely. We were surprised to find out that they offered a 2 hour happy hour Monday through Friday, as well as a hot breakfast. An unexpected surprise! There were also very convenient restaurant options. It was a marvelous stay. The dining and pool areas were excellent.

Pool and hot tub was great. The fact that you can barbecue grill and fire pit is awesome. Very nice and friendly.

My husband and I had a great stay. The lobby was so cozy, the pool and hot tub were very clean. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was probably one of the best free hotel breakfasts we have had. The only thing that I had to complain about was that in the description here it says free beer, wine and rail drinks 5-7. It is now only beer and wine from 5-6 and I don't drink either.

I loved the decor and the people who worked there were friendly and nice. The hot tub was wonderful and the pool was clean and nice too. The restaurant within walking distance was so convenient and the food was good. The prices were good their too. We enjoyed the fire pit on a cool evening and it was very clean and quiet.

It was ok. The hot tub was broken and they said the one at another hotel could be used but we would have to let them know. That seeemed to be kind of inconvenient and awkward if we wanted to go that route. It wss loud at times. The main concern was there was a HUGE police presence for hours and hours and not really sure what that was about. It seemed major with 7 plus police vehicles.

Requested an early check in and was called the morning of to tell me my room was all ready and could check in whenever I wanted. Breakfast in the morning was great! Pool was clean! We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend this location in the future!

The hotel could use a couple updates but the pool was great and the staff were super. We booked a pool side room and were told once we got there that they had to nail the doors shut in the rooms due to a code issue so we couldn't access the pool directly from our room so that was disappointing. Otherwise our stay was good.

Property is clearly aged, pool was closed by the state due to health and hazard, nothing was stated prior to booking. Breakfast was late being set up and half the items listed were missing, no attendant to ask any questions and the help desk was put out with questions.

We were supposed to stay 2 nights. Couldn’t. Booked somewhere else for 2nd night. Very dirty, unkept, smelly, so so smelly.

Clean room and facilities. Love it here and when we stay in Milwaukee, this is the place we always go.

Staff was rude and rolled eyes at me when I asked them for a sheet set… which I was getting to replace the sheets that we found multiple blood spots on! There was blood drips in the bathroom, the place was dirty, dirty, dirty. There was chucks of cracker in the AC unit grate, and smelt musty. I did check for bed bugs, didn’t find any, but if I did wouldn’t be surprised. The breakfast area was filthy and never stocked! They put the orange juice in the Sun which tasted spoiled and sour! I had a cheaper price from Expedia and the front desk made me sign a form with a different price on it, when I showed them the price I agreed to on Expedia the said “I don’t care about what it says on your email’. Thus was by FAR the WORST place I have ever stayed with the worst staff and most unclean! For sure a safety disaster waiting to happen with the rusted stair railing outside on the side of the building, it was held together by one rusted through anchored point, I could kick it and I think it would fall over, hope no elderly person actually needs to use it for support. Worst experience of my life!

Hair was in the bathroom shower and in the sink… Lots of noise outside of my room that caused me not to sleep.

We were there for 3 day for an expo. Our room had a cigarete smoker before us. My husband said the oder came inside of his cpap mask. My asthma kicked and a migraine kicked. It was miserable for us. Our complaints went to the desk.No other room available. They sent maintence with room spray. He agreed it was terrible and could not stand it. I seriously feel we should have our money refunded.

Stayed one night. Room definitely could have been cleaner (hand prints on surfaces, hair in the bathroom, stains on the furniture) trash was over flowing in all public garbage cans, hotel needs more maintenance as well (bathroom door drags across the floor, sink didn't drain) breakfast was pretty good, few different options from oatmeal, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt. The breakfast area was very clean (besides the trash), lots of tables, and kid friendly. Location was easy to find and plenty of parking.

I actually liked this hotel and think with just a few small improvements it could be a really nice place to stay. To be fair to the hotel, we didn\'t report anything until we checked out, so they didn\'t have a chance to make anything better until after we left. Still, most of this shouldn\'t have been happening in the first place. Here are the issues we had: ROOM The sink didn\'t drain, so we had a disgusting pool of dirty water in the sink the whole time. The light in the shower was blinking nonstop. We jokingly called it the seizure bath. There was hair on the wall of the shower. The thermostat screen wasn\'t working so we couldn\'t adjust the temperature. BREAKFAST Breakfast goes until 9:30. I got down there at 8. Every table was filthy. It was obvious none of them had been wiped down. The bacon was gone and the waffle mix was gone. There was no water, juice or bread of any kind. The only main items left were eggs and cereal. I watched an employee come and check on everything. So I went up to our room and came back down at 8:30 hoping things would be a bit better. They were exactly the same. Nothing had been cleaned and nothing had been restocked. We didn\'t use the pool so I can\'t comment on it. Everything is a bit outdated. As a positive, there was a fantastic restaurant called "The Machine Shed" walking distance away. Honestly, this could be a really nice hotel again with just a few changes and improvements.

We were in room 209 and the carpet had stains on it , the shower was dirty ,and The phone didn’t work like how do y’all so called have room service but the phone don’t work I told the lady about it she said they can’t do nothing about it the pool was 9/10 it was a lil too hot tho but other than that it was a nice hotel and also the breakfast was nasty .

Beautiful hotel. Nice bar and breakfast area. But no closet or any way to hang my clothes for the next day. No iron or ironing board. Window didn't close properly so the wind was howling through it. I wedged a folded up piece of paper around the side to seal it a little better and keep out the wind and noise.

Interstate noise is bad if you are in a room facing it. Also, if you are traveling with a medium- to large-sized dog, there's really not a great place to exercise them. On the plus side, the staff could not have been nicer.

Nice room yet there’s no closet in the executive king room. Had to ask for hangers and then put my husband’s suit in the bathroom on the towel hook.

Hotel was pretty nice, but starting to show some wear and tear. Shower pipes were a bit loose and tub spout was dripping. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great access to expressway, nice value for money, spacious room with microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Only unusual thing was no closet, but plenty of dresser drawers. Hot breakfast was nice especially if you like to make your own waffles.

The staff was friendly and responsive. The property itself was just OK. The rooms were large but NO CLOSETS. It was a hot humid weekend and the room felt damp even with the air running constantly. The hotel was quite full and the breakfast area was a disaster. The tables were not cleaned off, ran out of many food items. Lines were long. Many of the patrons were pulling up their plates and even filling bags with food to take back to their rooms. The staff tried to keep up but many of the guest were poorly behaved and rude. There were a lot of dogs staying there as well. It was very inexpensive and you get what you pay for. The best thing about this hotel is the friendly hardworking staff.

Great place! The rooms are spacious and clean. The whole place has a wilderness cabin feel to it. There is a gas station and a restaurant on either side of the hotel, which is really convenient. The whole place felt peaceful and safe. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Very courteous staff and nice large rooms. Great breakfast. Could use some updating and would be nice to have closet space in the room.

No place to hang your dress or suit. No closets and even no hooks on the back of the bathroom door.

The lodge was a beautiful building. From Jade at the check-in desk to Scott at breakfast to the housekeeper who held the elevator for me, everyone was very friendly, helpful, and pleasant to talk to. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was close to the highway but still quiet. Wildwood Lodge is on the top of my list of places to stay if I'm ever in the area again.

Upon checking in we were not greeted at the counter and she proceeded to check us in with basically no talking or politeness. We got to our room and immediately smelled a strong musty dirty odor so asked to switch rooms and again she never spoke to us just handed us a room key. The new room was a little better smelling but the bathroom sink didn't drain and beds were not comfortable. Upon checking out the next day we had the same lady and again no greeting or politeness whatsoever

The staff and magement are very welcoming, and helpful. I feel like I made new friends

This is a solid hotel. Very friendly staff at check-in and anytime we interacted with them. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Nice shower with good water pressure and temperature. Plenty of towels. Free hotel-standard-mediocre breakfast (but it was a regular breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy). So why not a 5-star or 10/10? There were a few maintenance things that needed to be addressed and a few common areas that could've used a cleaning. In the evening we came back and thought we'd grab a drink at the bar but it never opened and there was no one at the desk to ask (or answer the phone that wouldn't stop ringing). We won't hesitate to stay here again but just know it may have a thing or two you need to overlook.

Right next to amazing food. The staff at this hotel?! The best of the best! From meeting Carol at check-in to being helped by Jade at check-out, I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel experience- beats the Pfister for customer service by far!

We had the best customer service from Jack at the front desk. He even helped me buy some sweatshirts for a souvenir. The cleaning staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff were very helpful. The common area carpets needed cleaning.

Hotel was clean, but front desk staff was not always available. Breakfast okay, but keeping coffee urn full not so good. They don't clean room and replace towels each day unless you specifically request it. Maybe they are short staffed for front desk and housekeeping.

So we were there because we were waiting for our house to be ready to move into the staff all knew that which is why we got a suite when we first checked in I had double reserved and the lady was just so rude about it, then I’m asked about bringing my dogs and she’s like well. We need to know now bc if you’re going to bring your dogs, we need to know ahead of time so we can have you on the 1st get off of it now

It was unique in that it was decorated like an up north lodge. The breakfast area was combined with a seating area and large fireplace along with a small bar. There was complimentary drinks from 5-7pm which was very nice. Outside in front was a seating area with a gas fire pit. It was nice visiting with friends around the outdoor fire. I had a room with two queen beds. Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The room was quite large with a desk, lounge chair and side table and an l-shaped couch with large footstool. Shower was nice and there was complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash in dispensers on the wall in the shower. There was a small refrigerator and microwave. The only thing lacking was a place to hang your clothes. This was a real negative issue. Two great eating places in walking distance and nearby gas station. Also, easy on and off the interstate.

This property is within a half hour of downtown Milwaukee but is much less expensive than a downtown stay. It's easy on/off the interstate but is not noisy like some hotels near a major highway. There is plentiful shopping and dining just a few miles away in Pewaukee.

Lovely decor and great pool Had several large games for family in lobby Hotel staff very friendly and helpful Easy on /off the high (I=94) great location 25 minutes to Milwaukee Adjacent Machine Shed restaurant for family and Thunder Bay Grill for more upscale dining. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the neighborhood.

Comfortable hotel right off the Interstate. Grear service and friendly. Great value...

I've stayed at this property 3 times in the last year. It's gotten worse each stay. The last 2 stays, their coffee maker was broken so they had to get I'm guessing gas station coffe brought in,,, late. The breakfast buffet was horrible, eggs burned, sausage refridgerator cold, biscuits half frozen and the gravy water thin. This last trip, the tv didn't work and the toilet was plugged. Staff said there was nothing they could do to remidy any of it. Needless to say, i won't be giving them any more of my business, at over $110. A night.

The only problem we had was the breakfast was always late , a half hour and the tables were not cleaned off from the day before in he breakfast area and that was gross. Otherwise everything was great.

This property was so nice. The decorations were great, the open bar from 5 to 7 is great, the rooms are comfortable. Rosa at the bar was wonderful. They make fresh baked cookies also. The worst part was the breakfast. Nobody seem to be around to restock it and the layout needs to be redone. No rhyme or reason to wear anything else.

I enjoyed my stay here. Room was excellent, loved the pool and whirlpool. Breakfast was a little bit disappointing. Waffle maker wasn’t working correctly, milk in refrigerator was warm,and no juice? Otherwise, eggs were good and bacon as well.

The property is nice, run fown abit and very under staffed Hot tub was cold, cleaning was half ass. We stayed 5 nights never changed sheets , hair on the bathroom floor. Just not very clean. The the advertise free beer and wine everydsy from 5 to 6. But saturday and add Sunday nothing because no bartender. Over all was nice just need more staff and better room cleaning

This is the first time we have encountered anything like this and we have traveled coast to coast and in between many times. This pertains to breakfast. I think there should be a rule no children allowed alone under age of 13. There were three little girls making waffles etc ages about 8-10. They horded the counter and made quite a mess. Made it hard for anyone else to use. The mother did come but left them alone and ate at the bar. When they left they threw away most of what was on their plates. Not a word was said. The attendant was not present during this time.

Great stay continental breakfast was great and staff was super nice
