Nice hotel. A little on the older side. We had a room in the "older" part of the property. Nice large room with king bed and unexpected jet tub in the room. Thankfully it did not smell musty. Did not use tub. Bed was very comfortable. Room and bathroom nicely clean. Shower wasnt the greatest but ok. Had a wonderful large breakfast included. Only complaint there was the breakfast room was freezing. Pool was nice. Hot tub was way too hot to be enjoyable. Easy check in. Friendly staff. We were there on a Monday and had a hard time finding somewhere to eat dinner that was open.

We were in town for the trap state tournament. The hotel is a bit older, but despite that, it was still a really nice place to stay. I would definitely come back to this hotel in the future. They had everything to the point where we really didn’t need to leave with the exception of our event. They had a pool, bar, restaurant, and even entertainment. The massage chairs in the lobby was a huge perk! Everything was clean and comfortable. We’ll be back!

Easy check in. Great continental breakfast with nice selection of food. Our room was neat and clean but needed serious updating. Air conditioning unit was gerryrigged with a hose going out window surrounded by duct tape. HVAC was extremely noisy. Parking convenient and area safe. Nice bar and restaurant onsite.

The property is pretty outdated but looked like they were in the process of rotavating. Our rooms air conditioner did not work so they had a portable one in the room, not ideal but worked. Breakfast was great in the morning. The pool was cold and the hot tub was just warm not hot.

This is an older hotel. Lights are dim and hotel is dated. The drain in the shower is slow. There’s only one elevator in the front to our hotel room. There’s an elevator in the back but it doesn’t go to our section. The pool was clean but you would have to ask for towels at the front desk. Overall it’s an old place but decent for a small town.

We have stayed here a few different times and although the hotel is starting to show it's age, you can't beat location or how friendly the staff is. The pool area was very, very, very dirty. Hair clumps all over, crumbs, trash and the hot tub was not working. Check-in process was easy, parking simple.

Best place you will find in Wisconsin rapids. The town doesn’t offer much so most places in the area are not great. This is the 3rd place we have stayed in the city and this is the best so far. It is definitely dated and seems mostly only elderly stay there but it’s kept clean and offers a lot of amenities, especially for the price. Amenities include a large breakfast with homemade eggs and multiple types of fresh fruit, pancakes, waffles, bacon, cereal, etc. Room had a vanity mirror, small fridge in the room, and beds were comfy, my only complaint was the shower pressure was kind of weak and the tv was small but nothing that would make me not stay there. The pool was very clean and peaceful and the hot tub was nice though it had bubbles not actual jets. They have 2 grand pianos and massage chairs in the main lobby as well as occasional live music there. I didn’t eat at the restaurant but it was fancy looking. Staff were super friendly and helpful as well.

This hotel is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. Our room smelled like BO and garbage was lying along side the bed and nightstand. I don’t know how it could have been missed. The staff were super nice and switched rooms. The new room was cleaner but one of the beds was terrible and sinking. Made for a long night of no sleep, especially when you are in town for a funeral. The bathroom was mildewed and the shampoo containers were empty. Not great, except for the check in girl, she was very kind.

The hotel gave off a negative vibe as soon as we arrived. There were long weeds throughout the entire parking lot. Upon entering, we noticed that the air conditioning was off in the hallways and common areas. When we got to our room and settled in, we realized that three out of the four light bulbs in the bathroom were burnt out, which was a minor issue. However, the bathroom sink did not drain at all. As we moved near the bed, we discovered vomit on the carpet and along the nightstand from a previous guest. We canceled our stay, and we switched hotels. After they canceled our stay we had an additional charge of $127 that's unexplained why it occurred and it has yet to be credited. The original charge for the stay had been credited back already. Stay elsewhere. Be aware of unknown charges to your account.

Our bathroom was gross. There was pee on the toilet, along with poop. There was pubic hairs all over the bathroom floor! Glad I had snacked with, no way my feet would touch any flooring. Mirrors were not cleaned as well! Bathrooms need a deep clean every time!!!

REALLY UNHAPPY with our stay. LOTS of Mold/Mildew in the tub enclosure, drain was pulled out, comforter and sheets looked like someone had layed on them. I told the person we were UNHAPPY with the room. After I demanded, he offered a different room. We checked it out before we moved and that shower enclosure also had LOTS of mold. VERY LOW water pressure in shower. VERY little shampoo in dispenser. Couldn't get the TV to work. We have stayed there before. DISAPPOINTED. We won't be returning.

Room was dirty. Ceilings in bathroom was peeling. Mold and shampoo staining on shower walls. Rust under sink. Dried food stains on carpet. Marks on walls. Furniture was old, dusty and fake wood chipping off of it. Fake plants in hotel extreme dust. Massage chairs in lobby covered in stains, black now rather than the color they used to be. I contacted the front desk about my room being super dirty. I was told to email the GM and I did that same day. I never received a response. I am not the type to leave bad reviews, but when no follow up to my complaint was given I think the review is warranted. I recleaned the entire bathroom because my daughter was already in the shower, so it was too late to do anything about it. When I say I cleaned up 10 hairs, that’s probably an understatement. Floors were DISGUSTING and black in the corners. Would not stay here again.

The rooms are in much need of repair. The blankets were very old, torn, and had crusty patches. There were no charging ports in the room. The bed and pillows are very uncomfortable. The bars and restaurants were not open. There is an atrium in the middle of the hotel that is open to all the floors. There was a lot of noise until 1 am.

Hotel is very dated, at check in the guest before us so had their information up on an iPad so it’s not very secure for privacy. Our room was not very clean, there were two very scratchy robes available for us to use but they were totally wrinkled and very stiff feeling. Rust stains and the bathroom drain was out of the tub. Set the thermostat to heat but the heat never came on and it was a very chilly night. Bed was okay decently comfortable. But I would not stay here again. Oh and also our room door stayed wide open, you had to physically close it and ensure it latches before walking away.

Fire alarms were going off for a few hours Friday night due to some water in the elevators. No big deal, things happen...but I was expecting a little bit of a discount on my room. There were no luggage carts or pool towels. When I asked for both, the front desk didn't do anything to get me either and acted like it was no big deal. The garbage on the 4th floor elevator was overflowing for 2 days and was not emptied by the time we left. One person at the front desk was sitting outside the hotel smoking and chatting with friends. The amenities are nice, but the entire hotel really needs an update.

Your room is not secure. Stay at the Cobblestone down the road instead. Hotel Mead gave our room keys to another guest! The other guest tried entering our room after midnight, and came back with a hotel employee who aggressively knocked on our door at 12:20 a.m. and told me the room was assigned to another guest. Once I identified myself, she said we were given the wrong keys and were supposed to be in another room. This was a huge safety risk - I was there with my child and had we not pulled the chain, we would’ve had strangers in our room in the middle of the night! After I closed the door, the hotel staff and other guest argued loudly in the hallway for another 15 minutes. I tried to resolve things with the hotel but they said there was nothing they could do, as we’d booked through a 3rd party. No apology, zero accountability, horrible customer service. Expedia tried to work with them for a refund on my behalf and couldn’t even get them to respond. (Expedia gave me some OneKey cash as a goodwill gesture.) On top of all that, the sheets were dirty, the shower gel was empty, and the air conditioning was broken. Overall, horrible experience!

I liked the friendly smiles & attitude. Especially going out of way to rectify a bad situation by coming to the room. The room sink leaked on BR floor & shower had black mold on ceiling. Gale, overnight front desk, personally apologized & brought new keys to new room to the bad room. Several other employees had positive attitudes & smiles & it was infectious. Greatly appreciated!

I will sing the praises of this hotel. After getting booted from a different hotel 6 hours after checking in just because I was traveling with my service dog. This hotel was able to accommodate us at the late hour. The staff was amazing and the owners are awesome. The restaurant was beautiful and food was amazing. The breakfast is always great. Definitely going to be staying again. The little shop in the lobby was very convenient.

We like the cleanliness of the room and the staff is friendly, but the hvac and the maintenance staff was nonexistent this weekend. One of my rooms had a toilet overflow onto the floor and no one showed up, the second of my rooms, the hvac system didn't work. I finally asked for 2 new rooms and we were moved.

Hotels.com reservation wasn’t in Hotel Mead system when I arrived but was given plenty of help from their front desk staff the get the problem resolved. Would definitely recommend Hotel Mead. Thumbs up to the front desk team !!!

This hotel is just minutes away from food, shopping and baseball! I felt very safe and was very impressed with how quiet it is. Even the shower was quiet. Love having an additional sink/mirror OUTSIDE of the bathroom, makes getting ready so much easier.

I had a very enjoyable stay. I was there for a fraternal conference and the staff was most accomodating. I had a minor issue with a burnt out bulb in my room and the staff handled it very quickly. The room, for the value, was more tba than spacious! I can only imagine what the suites are like. If I ever stay at Wisconsin Rapids again, this would be my go to property. Even the hotel bar/restaurant was great! Definitely would recommend!

The restaurant was terrible. It took almost 2 hours to get our meals. The menu was overpriced for what was actually served. Pasta without sauce, wimpy zucchini, miniature potatoes and a house salad that didn't contain the ingredients listed on the menu. At breakfast the toaster was on a counter without a plug. How is someone supposed to toast the bread or English muffins if you can't use a toaster.

Our room had no AC the first night and the bathtub would fill with water while taking a shower. The breakfast buffet items were not refilled fast enough and you had to wait for them to be refilled including the coffee.
