Carpets need to be cleaned desperately! Feet were black 25 minutes after my shower. Parking lot is in disrepair. Breakfast much better than most for sure. Staff friendly and courteous. Air/heat is great. Fire alarms went off Saturday afternoon. No nap for us. Was told this wasn’t first time. Something to do with the pool overheating. This doesn’t sound safe at all! Location fits our needs when visiting Newell WV. Will try again on our next trip.

The carpets in the hall way were definitely in need of attention, they were very dirty. I believe it said that there was a hot tub, but there was not one. The toilet gurgled all night, we reported it at check out. We did enjoy the pool and the breakfast. The attendant at breakfast was very attentive and nice.

We came from Michigan to spend the day with our Granddaughter and wanted to use the pool but couldn't because the heater was broken. We got a room with a jacuzzi it didnt work,the 8 e machine on the first floor where we were was broke had to go to 2nd floor

Very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Clean, friendly, spacious, good breakfast, nice pool and a lot less expensive than other hotels we checked in the area. It's a little tired/aged but all the other factors more than compensated. Staff were great too.

Liked it better when it was Holiday Inn Express- carpets were very stained and looked dirty. Pool area, including pool itself was dirty, lots of bugs and debris in pool. Staff very friendly, room was clean, beds comfy (great pillows!). We like staying here for proximity to Casino, Fiesta Outlet and antique stores in East Liverpool. Breakfast was okay, nothing to write home about!

We were in the area for a celebration of life and this was the most convenient lodging for us. On the plus side the front desk staff was very nice and was able to extend our checkout time by an hour, a big help since we had a late flight out of Pittsburgh. Complimentary breakfast was okay, though we chose to go to a small family restaurant in town, Connie’s Corner, for breakfast the second morning; good food and service, very reasonable prices, small surcharge to use a credit card. On the downside, the common areas of the hotel were dingy and run down, stains on the carpets, etc; and our room was not serviced after our first night, even though we were out of thy e room between 10 AM and 4 PM. Not a huge deal for us since we were only there one more night but disappointing all the same.

Breakfast was BAD. Everything was cold, potatoes were rock hard and cold. The room heater had a high pitched noise every time it kicked on. Kept us up ALL NIGHT. Room had a bad smell. I will say staff was nice and the water pressure was awesome.

Hotel is a nice property. There is a hand rail for the bathtub, always appreciate the safety item. AC was loud, but kept me mostly cool. Chair was a bit uncomfortable, not great for a person with bad hips or a bad back. Close to an event I was attending.

One must not expect maintenance to take care of a toilet problem if in the evening/night time. We had to wait until after 9 am the next morning for help. We had to keep going to the rest room in the lobby all night and early morning. If a plunger had been available to the front desk perhaps we could have fixed it. Not sure. Anyway, not a pleasant time for two in their 70’s. A toilet is necessary at our age “all night”.

I want to be fair in this review but we had a difficult multi-night stay. Here are the highlights. 1. We had a reservation for 2 rooms but when we arrived were told that they were on different floors. We had requested them to be close due to elderly group member that needed assistance. Initially told not an option, but a kind desk clerk finally helped us work it out. 2. Upon arriving at said rooms on 3rd floor, one smelled completely of smoke and was rough. Was told nothing to be done tonight but could fix tomorrow. They did move us in the morning next door. 3. The new room we went to was fine but was a definitely on the dirty side. 4. Upon arriving back at our hotel the final night of our stay, we found a flyer under our door telling us that the power would be OUT starting at 7 am until at least noon the next day. If we needed to use the elevator, power in the room, or have breakfast in lobby, all had to happen before 7 am. I discussed with the front desk clerk on duty and was told "I can't really do much about it. It's not really our problem since it is the power company". I get that this is out of their hands to some degree, but it is wrong to tell people so close to the time of outage. They did release us from final night of reservation and we moved to the Best Western in Steubenville which was immaculate and much nicer. Bottom line - stayed here many times over the years. It is not as nice or clean as previous trips. Almost all the front desk staff was A+.

Check in was easy, however we repeatedly had issues with our keycards not working properly. Knowing we were staying 2 nights, we opted to get the keys reprogrammed or obtained two new keys (I don’t recall what was decided). They worked much better afterwards. The water pressure in the shower was the best I’ve seen. Unfortunately, the drain could not keep up with the water output so I was always standing in the dirty water while showering. The room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Wife used and liked the gym. I would stay here again.

Booked a room and received a confirmation that my room was booked. Drove over 6 hours to the place just to be told they didn’t have my reservation and the front desk clerk was rude and dismissive as if I was just to drive somewhere else. The place didn’t look that great. So I drove 45 minutes away to a nicer town.

The front desk staff was very nice. All off them. The breakfast in the mornings was very good. The property was well lit. Only issue I had was with the room. There was no ice bucket in the room, housekeeping NEVER came and checked to see if we needed towels or linens. Not even checked to see if the garbage needed emptied. We stayed for 3 days. The floors in hallway were dirty. Housekeeping didn't even clean room while I was there. Not impressed with that.

I found it to be clean and comfy. Beds were great. Linens appeared fresh. Only two downfalls were the phone didn’t work in my room so I couldn’t get a wake up call and the lighting on the main road into the hotel is non existent. Hard to see even pulling in. Not the fault of the hotel, just watch entering and leaving on the main road! Otherwise great stay. Friendly people.

Full hot breakfast with variety during our 5 day stay, instead of the same thing each day. Quick, thorough, friendly service from maintenance person when our TV was not working properly. Excellent handicap BR facilities. Best I have ever experienced.
