People around here stay to themselves, and are polite with what little interactions you might have with staff or other guest, But the drive once you pull into the drive way is no joke, you better buckle up while going down to the main office building I wouldn't recommend a low clearance care by no means to try and embark on the journey, me personally if our car was in peak top condition, I would park at the omelette shop and walk the half a football field distance down and spare the bottom/under part of your car the abuse of that drive way.

The drive way just plain S**** A** like FR. If you want a good imitation of a roller coaster then by all means take the driveway dead on but if you like me and want to avoid whiplash and then I would just park at The Omelette shop before the driveway and save your car the abuse and just walk the half football field distance to the office area

Do not waste your money. Do not count on getting a restful night sleep. Do not count on getting your security deposit back. Entire facility is in major disrepair, driveway and parking lot included. Beds are old and sagging. Sheets are ripped and stained. TVs, microwaves, and refrigerators are old and barely work. Laundry facilities are broken and management has no plan for repairing or replacing. The hot water is barely warm, and there is a lot of drug dealing and prostitution within this facility. A $50 security deposit is required, and I had to threaten contacting the FTC in order to get mine refunded to me.

Parking lot had huge pot holes that were unavoidable. The comforter had cigarette burns all over it and the room smelled very stale - almost like old cigarette smoke smells. The mirror looked like it was ready to fall off the wall. The lighting in the room was not very bright. We were disappointed because we have looked to Red Roof Inns for an affordable stay through the years.

Once my daughter found bed bugs, we turned our keys in and went and stayed at the MicroTel. It was about $27 more, but way cleaner.

Stayed in Room 106 on 9/15/24. The staff was friendly but most everything in the room was dirty, damaged, or both. I'm used to staying in lower cost motels to save money but this one was bad (even considering the price). Some of the issues: Security latch on door is broken and missing. Bulbs out over one bed. Door barely closes so you can see light / get air flow from outside. Looks like a hole was punched in the bathroom door. Shower curtain rod is ripping out of the wall. There was a Burn hole and 3 dirt spots on comforter. Cobwebs and dead bugs in front corner of room behind door, as well as above the sink. Sink only had hot or warm water (no cold). Saw multiple live cockroaches, one behind toilet, one next to bed, 2 on fridge. Exhaust fan and toilet very dirty. I did not feel comfortable using the shower given the state of everything else. Also didn't even bring my bag in to the room due to the many live and dead bugs found. I have pics/video of each, as well as other random dirty / broken things. Would NOT stay here again.

Do not stay here unless you are homeless. Stained bed sheets and linens. The shower is full of mold and dirty fingerprints. Bloodstains on the wall. The bathtub felt like it was going to fall through the floor. This place needs a major cleaning, totally disgusting filthy room.

Floors were filthy and not mopped or swept. Sticky stuff on floors and counters no coffee cups for coffee. The bathtub not cleaned the shower walls and bottom has hair ,blood and other nasty all stuck to it. It's a room with a kitchen and absolutely no pots pans or utensils inside the room to use. No laundry even tho it says it has washer and dryer. No ice machines Extremely limited on any options for literally anything. It's basically a stay the night kinda hotel not meant to really accommodate one to make it feel more homely or inviting. Basically only staying there because it allows pets. And I travel with my dog to every new job or project I get.

Horrible hotel. Take off Expedia. Literally craters all in the parking lot. It will ruin your car. The rooms are disgusting. Bring your own towels and comforter and sheets. Just plain gross. The floors Ewk. Everything.

It wasn't a terrible stay. The place was clean with no signs of bedbugs, roaches, or mold. I must mention the poor condition of the road that leads down the hill to the hotel. The potholes are massive and could damage a car that rides lower. Also, I made the reservation 24 hours ahead of my stay, but they didn't have the room I selected available. They gave me a free upgrade to a superior king room. I appreciate the free upgrade. But I found the amenities lacking. The room had a safe, microwave, and coffee maker. But there was no wall-mounted hairdryer that comes standard with most hotels. There was also only one bar of soap and one tiny bottle of mostly empty shampoo for two guests. I must also mention some questionable electrical safety. One outlet was taped over with black electrical tape. Another outlet completely lacked a cover. But the room DID have a functioning smoke detector. Overall, not great, not terrible.

Disappointed in this visit to Red Roof. I visit Parkersburg off and on for homecoming weekend the half marathon race, and I always stay at this Red Roof. I did miss visiting last year, and looked forward to this trip. This Red Roof seems to have gone downhill since my last visit. The road to get down to the motel was all torn up and definitely needs repaired/repaved. The room itself was sad - dark and gloomy and smelled musty. The mattress sheet was worn and had lost its elasticity and was falling off the ends of the mattress. WiFi was spotty, and the cable TV was not working. Like I said, I was disappointed-I’ve been coming to this Red Roof for years, and it seems to have declined considerably recently.

This is one of the poorest hotels I've ever stayed in, and I am the queen of a cheap hotel. To start, I was surprised that they charged us a $50 deposit fee, even though we didn't have any pets. One would think we were checking into the Ritz and not a little hotel in Parkersburg, WV. The actually room was very smelly. We couldn't decide if it was stale cigarette smoke (because we were in a non-smoking room) or if it was just musty. We sprayed handsanitzier and perfume in the room, several times. That night when we returned to the room after the event that brought us to the area, the people next door (also a non-smoking room) were clearly smoking in there--both cigarettes and pot--so I guess non-smoking is just a vague hope. Additionally, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, we were only given two flat pillows, no shampoo in the shower, and the air conditioner made so much noise throughout the night that I didn't sleep at all. The very worst part, though, is the parking lot. There are massive holes and half of it looks like it's falling apart. I'm glad I drive a high SUV or I might not have made it out of there at all.

Our "Non-Smoking" room smelled like an ashtray. The bedspread had 2 cigarette burn holes. The mattress was like trying to sleep on a slab cinder blocks. It was pet friendly and that was what we needed for the night.

Most of the lights didn’t work. Toilet ran all night and next morning the hotel had no water. No shower, no flushing. Rooms all smelled like smoke and policies are clearly not enforced. Doors busted and boarded up, a car on blocks in the lot…

DO NOT STAY HERE! Literally just sleep in your car, it will be cleaner and safer. The guy at the front desk was disgustingly rude from the moment we walked in to a “WHAT DO YOU GUYS NEED? I’m BUSY right now so you’ll just have to wait” as he slammed the office door behind the desk. There were two, what appeared to be, bullet holes in the door to the room I was in. A man that lives in the hotel LITERALLY has his dogs in pens in the woods behind the hotel that bark ALL night no matter what time. Stopped finally around 3am. The shower did not work. One pillow for two beds and was told they had no others available. Just don’t stay here

The staff was amazing! So helpful & friendly. The hotel is older, but the price reflected that. It's pet friendly and that was great, plus there was ample room in the back to let dogs exercise. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet. For just a stay, I highly recommend this hotel.

The manager is awesome! We have stayed there before and our TV remote wasn't working. He was on it. Very nice guy. Also the individual who cleans the rooms does a Great Job as well. Smells so clean. Highly recommend for the price and pet friendly.

People around here stay to themselves, and are polite with what little interactions you might have with staff or other guest, But the drive once you pull into the drive way is no joke, you better buckle up while going down to the main office building I wouldn't recommend a low clearance care by no means to try and embark on the journey, me personally if our car was in peak top condition, I would park at the omelette shop and walk the half a football field distance down and spare the bottom/under part of your car the abuse of that drive way.

They have a friendly staff. Kindly. Thank you for that. They DO NOT own the ATM machine. Be mindful of using your card in it to pull cash. It's a rather weathered location, but it provided me a bed for a couple of nights. I was thankful for that.

No little freezer in mini-fridge. TV was a bit fuzzy and the tub didn’t drain well and the walls were stained. Only one washing machine (but at least they have one) The owner is very nice and accommodating. You get what you pay for but it’s not terrible and the pricing is decent. Omelette Shop right above it gives you a discount if you show your room key. Very good food

This property has been very successful in cleaning the place up, making it a pleasant place to stay. They ate pet friendly and have areas you can take your dogs to run. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Mr. Bobby is a very good person who is understanding and honest. The housekeeper is a very hard working young lady who will help you out with anything you need. The maintenance man does the same. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Parkersburg.
