We enjoyed the 2 night stay at the Blennerhassett. Our room was spacious, well appointed and very clean. The bathroom was large with plenty of counter space and the rainfall shower head was great. We arrived in a downpour and although we did not use the valet parking, a young gentleman came out with an umbrella for us and helped us take our bags to our room. A walk through the hotel checking out the photographs gives you insight to the area, as well as the hotel. There is also a spa on sight. We recommend the tour of the Blennerhassett Island via the sternwheeler.

It is a nicely renovated and kept historical building. The hotel is very nice, comfortable and the rooms are spacious and well set up. Bar, restaurant, outside patio, Speakeasy are great. There is a library, snack and flower stands, convenient parking and valet services available. I would stay again!

Our first time staying at this lovely historic hotel. The staff really makes all the difference. We had a delicious meal in the surprisingly pretty courtyard patio, and they even have a sommelier who comes over to chat, even if you’re just getting wine by the glass. Our favorite part was they host a dog adoption service and there’s always a dog you can pet or even take them on a walk if you want. We had Baxter who was sooo sweet. All the staff were top-notch.

The room was beautifullybfurnidhed and in perfect condition. The entire building was spotless, and it was a very quiet night with no real noise heard from the room at all. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff is extremely eager to approach and ask if you've been helped, and it was a lovely stay, as always.

This was my second stay. This is a beautiful hotel. The bar staff is irreplaceable! My room was larger this time (I paid extra), but my room smelled terrible…like dirty, sweaty bodies…the sheets on my bed also smelled this way. It was repulsive, and I almost couldn’t stay in the room. I sprayed some of my personal perfume. Not much of an improvement, but I finally fell asleep after 2 hours. Then the noise was unbearable down on the street. It was drag racing, loud engines and motors all night. If I ever stay here again, I will be requesting a room facing the alley or parking lot.

I thought that the chairs in the room were very old and looked too worn out for this nice hotel. I also didn\'t like that there were bugs in the room. The staff said it was "from the AC." I\'ve also been to other hotels in this price range that water available in big urns for the guests in the lobby. That would have been a nice touch. I did like the beautiful building and the fun stories about the ghosts.

I stayed here a week ago. I have stayed here many, many times. Last week I was awakened by very noisy traffic outside my window. I requested a room on the quiet side this week and was not accommodated. Was offered a room upgrade, some chocolate and a glass of wine, but will still have to be awakened early in the morning by noisy traffic. Disappointed. They have an event happening this weekend, but I wonder if those guests have been staying here for about twenty years on a pretty regular basis.

The hotel and our room was very clean. The personel was pleasant but we only got to meet the concierge on our last day there. He was always occupied somewhere else! The internet was extremely weak in our room and at times keep shutting down once we got log onto it. We did not have much water pressure coming out of the shower head, small bathroom but great bedroom size.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It isn’t a great location. The check in clerk was one of the rudest I’ve ever met. Due to her attitude I almost canceled my reservation with them for next month however, the rest of the staff and especially the restaurant staff went above and beyond.. the food is greatly overpriced and not really that tasty but the staff in the restaurant is the best I’ve ever seen.

The property is really neat and historic and has been well-kept up with. The room i stayed in is clean and comfortable. The staff, overall, needs some training in customer service. The older lady who works as a hostess at the restaurant was not pleasant at all, nor was the longer haired gentleman at the check-in counter. Both acted as if they were inconvenienced I was there. The maids and valet were kind… as was the tour guide. With some more pleasant staff, this would have been a much better stay. The live music in the courtyard was a nice touch. Overall, a decent stay but probably not worth the price with the poorly behaved staff.

I think the girl at check-in might have been new. Took a while to complete everything. Forgot to tell us where to park, so the guy at the gate was pretty grumpy/upset about us not having validation for our stay. We know however, he was just doing his job! Loved everything else and will stay here again!

You will be met with contempt and condescension if you question any unnecessary charges. A convenience charge will be billed to your credit card following your stay. After notifying Expedia of this situation, their customer representative received a similar “eye roll” attitude when speaking with Jane, one of Blennerhassett’s managers. Apparently if you have to ask why you are being charged a credit card fee when Expedia has already charged your card … well then, you don't deserve to stay at Blennerhassett. Oh, and here’s a well-kept secret: on one of their hotel forms they’ll have you sign—in the finest of prints—if you pay cash for their county taxes then you won’t pay an additional credit card fee. Do you know of any hotel that makes you pay County taxes after you pay taxes online with a travel site? I’ve stayed at many hotels and have never seen this. Any attorneys out there looking for a class action?

The property and room was nice. The front of the building is beautiful with lots of flowers. When checking in, front staff was not friendly whatsoever, that was our first interaction with staff and it didn’t make a good impression. The room was nice, but didn’t have a mini fridge which we thought was odd, so we had to throw out our restaurant leftovers, and couldn’t keep drinks cold. Parking was sufficient for when we were there, but if all rooms are full, I’m not sure where anyone parks. We did not try the restaurant on site. It’s a nice, historic hotel that is in a good location.

Asked if there was a guest laundry available and the checkin clerk offerred to have the laudry done for us. Took our laundry, said it would be done when we woke in the morning and suggested having dinner at their over-priced, mediocre restaurant.In the morning, the laundry was right where I had left it and was informed that it would not be done before checkout. I can understand mistakes being made, but whole reason for the poor rating is that when I asked to discuss the situation with a manager, they left me waiting in the lobby, ignored and refused my request.

The Blennerhassett Hotel was like walking into the perfect mix of classic and modern. The owners have done a great job of preserving this historic building while sneaking in up to date amenities. All of the staff that we had the chance to meet were incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean with super comfortable beds. After checking out we had brunch in their restaurant and food was scrumptious! We can’t wait to make a trip back!

Beautiful building. Staff was superb and incredibly kind. Not as busy downtown as we imagined, but this is likely due to visiting before summer festivities get started. Bathroom is updated and absolutely wonderful; robes are sublime. Dog friendly and area is walkable. Area feels safe for walking.

Enjoyable stay at the Blennerhassett. Found the town was very walkable. Parking available. Not to impressed with some of the remodeling but seeing it through a contractor's eyes (my husband). Did not use the dining room or bar. We traveled down for a concert (Tim O'Brien) . The hotel was decorated beautifully for the holidays!

The food was the only issue lunch in bar was terrible but the great male bartender made it right with a fresh sandwich we chose not to have dinner here than breakfast buffet was cold all of it except for coffee! Nice presentation too bad it wasn’t even warm!!

Television didn't work. Contacted front desk and was told to unplug and plug it back in and that should resolve the issue. It did not. My parties dinners were less than amazing. My mashed potatoes were warm at best. For the prices it was less than expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the property. It was veryperiod correct.

The hotel itself was great. The online check-in really made the process fast from walking in to getting to the room. I would not recommend eating at the restaurant. Not only was the service slow but the food was average at best. I ordered chicken tacos and I received what I can only describe as something I would have made at 1 am after being out at a bar. We have the restaurant another try for breakfast, took nearly an hour from the time we sat down to when we received our food, and we were only a table of 4.

We thought the restaurant was highly rated. Plainly it was expensive and practically uneatable. We had a steak and I have to say I have never seen a steak with no juice in it even when ordered rare. The potatoes were lumpy and cold and the asparagus - I don't even know how you fix them that way. I couldn't eat them. I don't ever do reviews but this needs to be fixed. I can't remember having a less appetizing meal.
