Lovely hotel, comfortable, good breakfast. Gorgeous spa and pool. Parking very expensive for 1 night!! Which was very disappointing when we left.

We met family at the hotel and made use of the pool, dining, and bar. Everything was just fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good. There were also a couple of pubs nearby that were typical.

We had a room that felt like it was away from everyone and was huge. We loved the free gin and tonic and use of the spa. Yhe dpa itself was glorious.The bathroom was great and the shower was brilliant. The beds were comfy and all the amenities were fantatstic. Staff were friendly ans helpful. We have stayed at harbour hotels before and are trying a different place next time.

Great check in team Disappointed in car parking which you have to pay for, we waited 45 minutes from a cooked breakfast (when it wasn’t busy) and no croissants or pain au chocolate were left (10am Saturday so not too late) and you have to pay to use pool facilities on day of check out (which I’ve never had in any other hotel)

Hotel very nice but pay for parking very expensive over night which is nearly 18 pounds ( terrible) facilities were very busy no space in hottub so couldn't get full experience not able to use spa past 11 am on your checkout day and as you cant check in till 3 on rhe day of your visit. This doesn't even give you 24hrs use of spa

lovely property but did look somewhat different to pictures. Check in was a little late and there was an issue with breakfast but was sorted. Only thing is, there have lots of guests using the spa but no even near enough seating or loungers for guests so some were sitting on the floor as it was so busy and myself and husband couldnt relax together as there was no seating. I did ask for further loungers but they didnt get back to me.

My most favourite hotel in the UK. Beautiful rooms, amazing spa facilities and the food is delicious! We regularly stay here!

I want to tell you that this hotel has provided the standard for customer service! My room was extremely clean and they were kind and accommodating when they didn’t need to be. Highly recommend them if you’re in the area and looking for a beautiful hotel to stay at.

Lovely hotel but we did have a couple of housekeeping issues. Our bed was not made properly on one of the days and the tea and coffee was not replenished and the next day our shower gel had run out completely. Both times this was resolved quickly by reception but I don’t feel this is acceptable for this chain of hotel. I have stayed at several of this other properties and never had any issues.

Overall very good only disappointment when you have paid 650 pounds for two nights was the failure to clean room. Then when brought to the attention of the reception. They said the staff have all gone home. Poor customer response to their own problem.

We spent one night here following the Garage Classical concert at Kew the Music. We stayed in a superior room and it was spacious with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. We had air con but we didn’t feel the benefit of it. Breakfast was freshly made with a good selection of cereals etc for the continental option. Staff were friendly and helpful when you asked a question. The hotel is walking distance to the centre of Richmond with stunning views from the hill.

Had a good two days at the hotel, only problem no hot water first morning. This was rectified after my request.

Spa was good as were the rooms (didn’t eat in the restaurant). Location was perfect, very close to Richmond Park and a short walk into the village. Minor points for improvement were: wardrobe shelves were dusty; tea making area did not have a plug socket there (just a hole in the back of the cupboard); no spare loo roll. Parking was right outside but paid for via a 3rd party company (the hotel next door had complimentary parking if you stay there). But overall, 4oo5 stars.

I really like this hotel, close to the river and park, good pubs, not far from London. Great pool and hot tubs. Only gripe is the black mould in the shower, so easy to sort, but looks awful.

Spa and rooms where incredibly clean with great facilities.

Room was clean as always, missing towels in the room, the only down side for me, no EV charging point… overall great place to stay

We were upgraded, which was lovely, but overall, we were disappointed with the room. The room had several issues: - dirty display cushions (photo attached) - behind bathroom sink was very dirty. Viable when in the shower - The towel rail is too hot. My partner has scarred themselves, all from the smallest of touches - leak issue in bathroom ceiling (photo attached) - parking is listed as free on hotels.com, but I learnt it was £15 for 24 hours at check-in My biggest issue is we were charged twice. We pre-paid via hotels.com. Later that evening, we learnt via the credit card app that Harbour Hotel had applied the night fee again after taking the £50 holding fee. We informed the hotel on checkout. They apologised and organised a refund. A part refund has been issued but not the full amount!

Great location , nice spacious room. No view as it has a window facing a wall but it lets light in. We didn't require a room with a view as it was a place to stay whilst out in Gunnersbury park. Has lovely Bramley toiletries. It is ideal for walking to Richmond Town centre and th park is on your door step.

Room was quite large. Decor in room was a bit tired. Location excellent for our purposes. Spa facilities are very nice but are shared as a club membership apparently with locals and was pretty crowded. Not best atmosphere for hotel guests wanting to relax. Food was quite good but kitchen was clearly understaffed because the wait was really long after ordering but the staff was really working hard so it wasn't their fault.

I'm not one to write reviews or moan. But I have stayed at this hotel many times (over 20) as I work a lot in the area. What you need to know is that the rooms are really hit-and-miss from a noise perspective and decor. My last visit I was in a twin on the ground floor. The room itself is ok. The bathroom has been done well (some are not). But the noise from upstairs was awful. You could literally hear the conversation of the people above. In this instance, the people upstairs were awake until 3am and back up and making noise at 6am! It's also right next to the car park, so when people start moving around, you hear everything outside. I mentioned this in the morning. the receptionist asked if we had complained, but I don't feel it was the guest's fault. They were not being excessive, just moving around and talking, but you could hear literally everything! They need to prioritise soundproofing the rooms. It should be said I have had some great rooms but there are some that are soooo noisy. Ask for something higher up in the hotel. Stear clear of lower rooms and those on the corridor to the spa as when I stayed there, you can again hear everyone coming and going to the spa as it is a wooden floor and the beds are right by the door. Other than the noisy rooms it is a nice space - lovely restaurant and the spa is small but nice if you get a chance to use it. But a good night sleep is not guaranteed!

The hotel is well situated if you are fit enough to walk the hill into Richmond so I enjoyed that a lot. I also liked the complimentary gin in a decanter in the room with tonics from the mini bar. My room was sold as a superior yet only 'technically' had a window that faced straight into a tiny chimney type column straight into other windows. I don't think that should necessarily be a problem but for the over categorisation of the standard of room.

Buyer beware. Many of the rooms at the Richmond Harbour Hotel have bedrooms with windows that open onto a fully enclosed well, with no fresh air. Each room shares this well with 7 other bedrooms, all of which have their windows open and the sound tends to bounce around. You can literally hear what other people are saying to each other in their bedrooms. Privacy is zero. At the very least at a Health Spa I expect fresh air at night and some privacy. After much ado we managed to get moved to another room, but while the new room had an external window it only opened marginally, and the room was still overly hot (in mid winter) with the result that I hardly slept a wink. This hotel really needs to think again about its fresh air and ventilation. I found its rooms stuffy and unpleasantly hot.

In a lovely area and super close to richmond park, terrace gardens and along the river. A shame about the AC not working!

We had an overnight stay at this hotel and checkin was very good with the receptionist escorting us to our room. The whole hotel is a maze of corridors and steps everywhere - really difficult to find our way around. Our superior bedroom was in the basement and dark in the middle of the day. The room and bathroom were high standard with plenty of storage and a minibar, but I disliked the darkness. The spa leisure centre was very popular. Staff service first class.

The worst experience. Rude and unkind staffs.

The stay was just after I had proposed to my partner and the hotel went above and beyond; upgrading our bedroom, our Spa Treatment and being genuinely excited for our day; it really made the entire weekend magical. Could not recommend enough.

We’ve stayed here three times in under three months—it’s our go-to place to relax. The only thing missing is a little recognition for returning guests. A small gesture to acknowledge that would make it feel even more special. Also cleaning could be a bit more thorough.

STAFF: Breakfast on the first morning was not good. The ‘manager’ was rude and we felt like an inconvenience. Two staff had an argument in the middle of the dining room over the business. Reception staff were mostly friendly except one who was very abrupt. ROOM: Clean and comfortable. The air conditioning unit made an almighty rattle which was annoying over night. We left the ‘please service the room’ sign on the door at 9:30am, and by 5pm it had still not been cleaned. FOOD: We had breakfast x2 and evening meal x2. Cooked Breakfast was disappointing for the price. It also took ages to come (45 mins after ordering one morning). The evening meal was delicious though. The 2nd evening meal was a real disappointment. After being seated, the kitchen decided to stop taking orders. We ended up waiting nearby 90 mins to place an order. OVERALL: This is our fourth stay here. Everyone other time we’ve been very impressed. This time, however, we were left disappointed and frustrated by the service we received.

Hotel is great location but failed to live up to expectations. I rarely bother with a poor review but in this case i think it's worth it. The hotel was failing in basic things. Service in the bar/restaurant was at if the staff were on a 24 hour shift. On the three occasions we attended it was hard to get service after repeated attempts. Our rooms A/C was broken and they had provided an ineffective fan, we resorted to leaving the bedroom door open. On checkout they have the perusing in front of me a discount because he had complained about the A/C in his room. I explained i had the same problem and they said i should have complained at the time and gave me no discount. The guy before me laughed at this and just pat me in the back. Goes to show, if you don't kick up a fuss you don't get what you deserve i guess.

Lovely hotel, professional staff

The staff are really lovely and so nice, I would give them a 5/5 on service. However, they were not overly good at their jobs, many tables left dirty at dinner, our pre-ordered room service breakfast didn't arrive before we needed to check out, no one answered the phone at the front desk etc. But everyone was super nice which is why service got a 3. The hotel is super cute, looks nice, very well done! We came for the spa and that was amazing, also sitting out on the terrace on a gorgeous evening was lovely, such a nice experience. Overall we had a great time and will be back!

Perfectly positioned for a relaxing few days in Richmond for Mother’s Day. Boutique individuality with oodles of luxury features. The staff were welcoming and friendly and responsive, quickly resolved a small issue. Can’t wait to visit again!

I just wanted to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff for making this such a special experience for both me and my wife. The thoughtful touch of the rose petals on the bed and the handwritten note really was the icing on the cake. I'm not usually the best at planning romantic gestures, but everything about the stay — from the room setup to the spa — really impressed my wife and gave us the perfect chance to unwind from our hectic schedules. The spa was fantastic, and the entire team was warm, welcoming, and professional throughout. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and hospitality, and we’ll definitely be back!

The location on Richmond Park and near the Thames and loads of restaurants and shops is perfect. The pool was much larger than expected, perfect for lane swimming. Bike hire nearby on the river opposite the boat venue is great.

The room was lovely and I even received an upgrade! Very clean place and a modern feel. The only thing to let things down was both my evening meal and breakfast I had to wait a while to be seated when it wasn't busy, I was extremely disappointed at breakfast that there was no hot food available and opted to go elsewhere.

Reception staff friendly and helpful. Interior of hotel quirky and fun. Loved the guest cat.Lovely pool,busy at times. Hot tub and spa tub outside,so not ideal in winter. Mislabelled food at breakfast led to me being exposed to gluten , which caused a nasty reaction . Venue apologised, though I feel they need to pay attention to their food labelling.Its in a great location. Be aware there are lifts,but not all floors serviced by them .Liked the potential access to mini bar and free gin in the room. Quirky books to look at too.Rooms comfortable,but in my case ,no view. Top marks to the staff who were clearly passionate about their job . I would return,but would not use the restaurant.

Room, spa facilities and hotel overall was gorgeous. Bar, restaurant experience and check out was not good. Dinner was terrible - food poor, service very poor and was for a very special occasion. Ruined our stay. Check out was not streamline with unclear charges on the bill we had to query and asked to be removed.

We had a wonderful stay here. When booking, the only option they had left was for a twin room. After discussing this with a member of the team, they stated they would be able to push the beds together for us. It was also our anniversary and they provided us with 2 free drinks. The spa facilities and room itself were beautiful. The only downside was that the steam room was out of order. We decided to eat at their restaurant with the hope that the food would match the quality of the overall hotel. However, the restaurant was quiet with little atmosphere, we appreciate that this can’t be helped as a lot of people most likely go elsewhere for food. But it did effect the evening slightly. We both ordered dessert, however when it arrived, it did not come with what was stated on the menu. We did question this and stated that had we been informed prior to ordering, we mostly likely wouldn’t have ordered dessert. The waitress then questioned this with the kitchen. As we had full view of the kitchen, we were able to hear the conversation had between the waitress and chefs. We got the impression that this happened frequently as the chef mentioned we don’t serve it with a clementine anymore and insinuated that the menu should be amended. Overall we had a great time, the room, facilities and staff were lovely. We were disappointed with the food, and it led us to deciding to go out for breakfast. The food was standard and we felt we paid a lot for an average dining experience.
