Ramada by Wyndham Drumheller Hotel & Suites

Great staff and service; everything in and around the property was neat and clean. Great indoor pool and hot tub, outstanding exercise room. Excellent EV support, there are dozens of 110 volt outlets available in the parking lot. We appreciate that the breakfast was served using reusable cutlery and dinnerware.

Was clean and quiet. Breakfast was mostly empty at 8:30 (7-10) breakfast , as well as Luke warm coffee they said they didn’t know why wasn’t working. Hot tub was not working last night but was this morning. Pool was quite cold. Third time staying at this location and was okay but definitely nothing extraordinary.

Nice property, comfortable, clean, felt safe, decent complimentary continental breakfast. The pancake making toaster contraption was a big hit and people were pumping out the little pancakes at an alarming rate lol. There are only 2 disabled parking spots which made things a bit difficult for us, as none were available and already taken. Pool was great and had a super fun water slide and a clean pool! We did not like the pool towels but they are the typical crappy blue and white ones that are the size of a tea towel (haha but yes, too small- probably so people don’t steal them though.) Great temperature for the hot tub too. We would recommend this property and would stay here again! Great central location in Drumheller and a 1 minute walk to about 10 different restaurants.

Large spacious room was sufficient for 2 couples. Very good hearty breakfast with good selections of dishes for big and small. Nice gym.

The location is amazing. The only problem was the pool was closed and we had to use the pool in another hotel.

Great hotel for kids. We had a lot of fun in the pool area and the waterslide was a hit. Also, having Boston Pizza in the same parking lot was convenient.

I think this is one of the few best hotels to stay in Drumheller. The staff is very nice and helpful. This time we had TV outage through the night of the stay (it was provider interruption and affected whole hotel) once mentioned at the checkout, we got a credit on our bill for the inconvenience. The pool is very busy, probably this time of the year (summer) when kids are getting entertained. We attempted to use a pool 3 times from about 6-10, and decided not to, because it was VERY crowded. I would recommend this hotel, as the best option in Drumheller.

Clean room. We were on the main floor though right by the lobby so it was a bit louder than we wanted, but it quieted down around bedtime so it wasn’t a deal breaker. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Room was large and comfortable with the option to have a door to the outside. Only problem was that the stalls right outside the room were so skinny that my small SUV barely fit. There was no room to put the kids in the vehicle in the stall. We had to back out to load up.

Very well kept hotel. Pool was great, the hot tub was perfect. The breakfast was actually very well run - everything fully stocked and functioning. Very impressed

Staff were super friendly and the gym/fitness centre has great equipment for doing a full body workout with heavy weights!

Our room was not ready at check in time. Had crumbs around the bathroom rink, finger prints on the mirror in the bedroom. No towels at the pool. Requested another blanket and pillow for our room, the front desk asked ME to come down and get it (around 6pm), instead of delivering it to our room. Floors look shabby and dated.

Maids didnt make our bed...took out garbage and gave new towels that was it. Didnt restock anything or make our beds

Friendly staff, very clean

The property was great. It was very family friendly and the breakfast worked perfectly. Unfortunately our room was missed in the cleaning cycle. That was the only bad thing.

I haven't seen this level of cleanliness and excellent service since pre-pandemic. The staff were so attentive and joyful, the room was very clean and comfortable, the pool was spotless and such fun for the whole family, and the breakfast was full and the breakfast room was meticulously clean. Such attention to detail, in all areas, that made the entire stay so pleasant. This was a perfect family location. I am glad I had points to use to help pay for what would otherwise be too expensive for us for one night, and my girls said that the only problem with the hotel is that we could only stay there one night.

We arrived to our room with animal hair all over and long hairs in the shower called the front desk and they sent someone up they walked out saying they cleaned it went in for a shower and hair was still stuck there was not cleaned

Everything was so clean and they did a great job at refreshing everything from the pool towels, the breakfast items, and the 24/7 coffee station...we never had to ask for anything. Comfy beds, too. Amazing stay!

We had a really excellent stay. The staff at the desk were kind, helpful, and even gave my kids origami cranes they had made. I was a bit nervous about noise, as my kids running around felt like it shook the floors quite a bit, but come nighttime, we didn’t hear any other guests in the halls or from their rooms. (We had seen some larger groups checking in with cases of beer and I am happy to report no party noise carried through the halls) The room was very clean, beds super comfortable, including a variety of pillows in the full range of hard to soft, and the bathroom was modern and also very clean. Breakfast was delicious, the pancake maker was a hit with my kids, and the breakfast room is new, modern, and comfortable. We briefly visited the hottub, and the whole pool area was very well kept. I had low expectations coming to small town Alberta, and was delighted to find some luxury in the badlands. 10/10 would recommend.

Staff were friendly and helpful, but the room wasn't very clean, the bed was off it's rail so we all cut ourselves on the metal supports. Pool and waterslide were a hit.

It should follow that one of the most expensive hotels in town should also be one of the best. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The complimentary breakfast was probably the best of any hotel I have stayed at that offered that service.

Great experience. Mattress was quite uncomfortable

The hotel was very nice the staff were very polite and helpful kids had a blast at the pool. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. Loved the snack counter and they were very reasonable on the price and the all day coffee was a bonus. The only complaint I have is the door going in the room was very hard to open and we had two tvs in the family but they worked together so the kids couldn’t watch tv in there room.

The bathroom lighting was very dim and the fan was super noisy. The air conditioner didn't seem to work great. But we loved the size of the room, the comfy bed, the breakfast. The location was great with lots around.

The building is wood frame so it was noisy from above, lots of foot noise, there was a lot of snoring from next door.

The hotel is decent for the area. The rooms are a bit dated and ours wasn’t the cleanest. We stayed in the one bedroom suite which was a good size. Could really hear the people above us running around a lot which was tricky when trying to get our baby to sleep, but not the hotels fault. Nice little pool with a slide. Overall, good enough to stay at for a night or two, but wouldn’t want to vacation there longer.

The hotel seems nice, but both our Queen mattresses were old and worn out. Felt like sleeping in holes and hills. For over $350 a night one would expect a mattress you could sleep on as that is why we were there. It’s a nice hotel, the waterslide was fun but the owners are cheating out to make more money.

The property was great the building was clean. The only downside was the beds were to soft that the center was hollowed out and after 3 nights my back was hurting it would be nice if they would have a bit stiffer mattresses to help prevent them from following out in the centre.

Some amenities needed a little more updating in the room for the price. A lot of old things, tv, lamp didn’t work, phone didn’t work. French doors to the suite were so loud and creaky. Sofa bed was from the 80’s. Paid over $300 a night for a room that should’ve been $100.

Easy check in & was a comfortable sleep. Only thing, you can hear the occupants upstairs walking very loud but room was overall good. AC was nice.

They let us check in early which was awesome because we got to check drumheller out for the whole day. I also liked that we got a bottom floor room that had a outside access door, with a parking spot right outside.There’s tons of food options around, and it’s fairly close to all the attractions. The breakfast staff were making weird passive aggressive remarks at one another about one being sick and lying about it 😂. The first front desk lady was amazing when we checked in. For some reason my partners room key stopped working, on the morning of check out. she went to the desk to get them to reactivate it, she said the guy was rude and didn’t have good customer service skills, but then when i turned the key in the man was nice enough I thought, lol. So I don’t know, I’d stay again, not like there’s much interaction with hotel staff anyways. Nice spot.

Booked 2 Queen rooms for 6 people online with Expedia. Arrived at 7 pm and reception desk staff member could not find find the reservation. She asked several times if we were at the right hotel , then asked if we had booked the correct night , then repeated the same questions, until I was able to show my confirmed booking with Expedia. Then, she said that Expedia had cancelled the reservation because I had booked with the option to pay on-site, at the hotel. Another staff member attempted to help us , but the first staff member shushed her and refused her help. The first staff member then informed us that we could book another 2 rooms, albeit at a higher rate, as the only 2 rooms available had 3 beds . We booked the rooms. I contacted Expedia, as I could still see the booking online , and Expedia confirmed that the booking had been made and was still valid. We travel frequently with Expedia and have never had a booking cancelled before. I would recommend calling the hotel to check your booking as another staff member later mentioned that they had seen this same issue occur before , with lost bookings. Hotel has a pleasant pool, excellent hot tub and breakfast buffet with the regular options (sausage, eggs, bagels, yoghurt, etc), however it is quite run down (the tile floors were sticky, the carpets were saggy and had raised middle areas where the carpet had stretched over the years, and just a general air of disrepair ). Convenient location. Poor experience.

I will never book far in advance and pay in full thru Expedia ever again! Over and over again we have arrived at a hotel after a long day of travel to be told at the front desk that the hotel has over booked and our room has been compromised! This is very poor and totally rude! I will book directly with the hotel in the future. Griffin was understanding and kind and it is unfortunate neither of us were able to correct what had already been decided by management. This is a very unfair business practice!

Check in was slow and the person was argumentative. When asked what cc paid with argued that it was different. Would not accept my spouses Id even though he was standing with me due to him being on the phone. Lost our booking while checking us in. Took over 20 minutes to check us in.

The hotel was great, our check in was smooth and the reception desk was friendly and very hospitable. The pool was fantastic, the gym was very well stocked and clean, and the breakfast options were great! When many other accommodations have been lowering services to reduce costs, this was excellent service!

The best service I've had at a hotel in a long time. Check in and check out staff were both super friendly and helpful. I left an item in the room and called the hotel after checking out and they called me back and had the item within 20 minutes. Excellent service all around and the breakfast was great too!

Ruddest check in clerk. There were two agents one was making coffee She was nice, the male was supposedly bringing towels to the pool. Front desk was unattended at 9pm. Sign stated "Hello" they were tending to a guest. No bell was present at that time. I checked. I saw the lady coming out with coffee and she said she'd be right there. As I turned around...there was the male agent, he had put the bell on the desk and turned the sign to "ring the bell". He told me I should have rung the bell. I told him I would have if it were on the desk but he just put it there. He was swarmy and rude. I took pictures AFTER he added the bell. The next day, I get a notification from my credit card company that Ramada had charged me again for the hotel I had prepaid a few weeks earlier. That male agent put through my card as a two night stay instead of the standard deposit. I called the desk and a rude woman stated my husband made a purchase... I replied, yes, on debit, not credit and not for hundreds of dollars. The elevator closed on my leg. The safety failed which usually registers an obstacle in the doors of the lift. My husband had to force the door open to free my leg. Sunday morning a child threw up in the breakfast area. There were no attendants and another guest had to go get a front desk agent for assistance. We chose not to stay for breakfast. Only Ava(?) was kind and pleasant to us. The rest of the staff were rude and ignorant. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a stray rat.

We stayed for one night, and absolutely loved everything about it! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Candice I believe her name was checked us in, and was very friendly. I had called beforehand to see if we could check in before 3:00pm. She had personally went to look for a room that would be ready for us to check in. It was so nice being able to check in earlier as we had our baby with us, and was nice to have some quiet time before we went out to explore the town.

Smooth check in, friendly staff, no hassle parking, dining options all around. Good place to stay.

Great place to stay in Drumheller - clean, spacious room. Comfortable bed. Several places to eat within walking distance. Decent free breakfast included. Nice pool. Convenient (driving distance) to Tyrell Museum.

Property was great for kids. Restaurants were within walking distance. Very convenient to the museum and hoodoos.

A great place to stay while visiting the museum. Kids loved the pool, and the breakfast was pretty good, though hard to find seating. The ladies facilitating breakfast were super helpful with allergy information and cleaning tables quickly.

Clean room. Friendly and pleasant staff. Option for two king beds was nice. Breakfast is a little repetitive. A little more day to day variety would be nice. Other than that everything met our needs.

Liked every thing, the hotel building and property was well maintained. The breakfast was nice but after two days having the same sausage was really rather tiresome, have bacon or ham every other day would been appreciated.

We really liked the breakfast. It was much nicer than the average hotel breakfast and the staff were great at keeping things stocked and cleaned. The room was pretty clean. It wasn’t outstandingly clean but it was comfortable. The bed and bedding were nice. All the linens seemed very clean, which we appreciated. It was nice and quiet. It was nice that the hotel was in the same parking lot as a Boston Pizza and an O’Shea’s (however the O’Shea’s was closed Tuesday and Wednesday). The hotel staff were great. I forgot my contact lense case and the lady at the front said they didn’t have any but gave me some ear plug cases to use - I really appreciated her thinking outside of the box. Another nice thing was we used a playpen/crib of the hotel and it came with some kid blankets. I appreciated that. And the room was very very dark with the black out blinds (something I find so useful when travelling with kids!). Overall we were happy with our and would definitely stay here again!

The continental breakfast was terrible. They even water down the orange juice. No fruits available. Room 211, even though i paid for an upgraded suite, the only window is complete blocked by the structure over the hotel entrance. So stupid. Anyway, don’t accept rooms 211-213 if you want to see anything other than a wall of stucco.
