The beach in front of the hotel was beautiful and private. We enjoyed sitting on our large balcony just looking at the ocean. We really liked the pool area and also went to the spa and had a wonderful massage and facial. My only criticism is that there are a lot of steps to go to the dining areas and a lot of walking to various areas of the hotel. Overall we loved the hotel and wood highly recommend staying there.

The property is well taken care of and with beautiful surroundings. My biggest issue would be the lack of adult activities, there is no entertainment, they have stuff for the kids but you are pretty much left to entertain yourself.

The views every room provides are stunning, the pools are run down, cold and an addition of a hot tub would be fantastic, the VIP access was no big deal, complimentary slippers and an all adult floor which the noise of screaming children still echoed to the room

Gorgeous hotel with private ocean view balconies. Staff and service is excellent. The spa experience is amazing. The Beach Club closed without notice due to low occupancy, which was sad, but the manager had breakfast delivered to my room which was lovely.

It will be hard to find a property better than this in Ixtapa. We’ve been here 3 times in 4 years. Each time it has been great. Its unique pyramid design means every room is a mini suite with separate sitting area and private patio overlooking the ocean and the private beach. There are 3-4 restaurants, workout facility, several shops onsite, and expansive open air cocktail area to take in the magnificent sunsets. We’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes for a taxi to take us to the many excellent restaurants and shopping in and around Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo. Your US dollar will take you far in this resort and area. Enjoy!

We have stayed at this resort several times over the years and it is one of our favourite places. The setting is beautiful and the beach and the sunset views from each room are hard to beat! The all inclusive system includes a need to sign a “bill”for each meal which seems unnecessary. The resort is great for people who love to walk. Not great for less mobile visitors. The lower elevator up from the beach was out of order which made for more stair climbing.

I booked 4 rooms for one night (luckily). 3 of the rooms in floor 17 were full of cockroaches some coming out of the drainage alive others dead, it was dirty, moldy, disgusting. As a guest one can understand we are in the middle of nature but this is just lack of commitment and cleanliness, and apparently zero standards. We were disgusted and uncomfortable staying there, luckily we were there just one night. Id like to take this to the next level because this is completely unacceptable. It looked like a cheap motel. I will post this review to all hotels advisors webpage unless contacted asap by management.

Por favor denles curso de atención y calidez para atención al cliente. Como me dijo un mesero en un restaurante de lujo. No son meseros, son avientaplatos. La habitación 1825 con fuga de agua del lavamanos, abundante salida de agua que salpica a los pies. El tubo de la regadera de teléfono despegado. El refrigerador del serví bar no enfriaba y acudió personal de mantenimiento a revisarlo hasta el segundo día. La alberca sucia. Favor de tener más cuidado en su limpieza,, llena de natas las orillas , limpiarlas con aspiradoras , no solo poner cloro y evitar infecciones a los huéspedes. Que pena que estén perdiendo la calidad.

I had a wonderful stay at Las Brisas Ixtapa, and the highlight was truly the people who work there. The concierge, Javier, was especially exceptional—warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. His English is excellent, and he offered fantastic suggestions for a solo traveler wanting to explore the beaches and sights around Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. My housekeeper also deserves special mention. She cleaned my room with so much diligence and detail every day. A tip for future guests: leave a generous tip on day one and ask for extra water; the single liter provided in the room isn’t quite enough for the day. The rooms can’t be beat. Every single one has a private balcony overlooking the resort’s secluded cove—sunrises and sunsets are stunning from up there. The rooms are spacious, modern, well-kept, and the beds are very comfortable. One note: if you like to sleep with your balcony doors open to hear the ocean, just know the AC automatically shuts off (something I discovered after my first night). The resort’s design is incredible—built into the side of a cliff, so the walk to the beach and pools takes you along stone pathways winding through lush jungle. The scenery is truly special. The adults-only pool has sweeping ocean views and plenty of loungers and shade. The beach itself is beautiful and has lots of chairs, umbrellas, bathrooms, and showers. My only critique (nothing to do with the hotel) is that the ocean waves can be strong.

Es una hotel con buena limpieza pero le falta mucho mantenimiento, una noche llovió y amanecimos con la habitación llena de goteras en el techo al grado de generar charco en el piso, y esto mismo lo vi en diferentes baños de áreas comunes, como el baño de la alberca. Non functioning air conditioning and refrigerator in room. Cockroaches in room and excessive bat feces on balcony. Black mold in shower with intolerable smell. No chairs or table on patio to sit. Phone in room did not work- any issues had to be communicated at front desk where an extremely rude FOH employee made me feel that all of my concerns were non issues. Given that I was unable to shorten our 10 day trip and no other room was offered, I ended up booking another room with no assistance from the hotel management which I had requested. I have worked in the hospitality industry for my entire career and I have never experienced such a terrible experience as this. Totally unacceptable.

We have been staying at Las Brisas since 2005 and always cannot wait to come back! Every room has a beautiful ocean view. We love hanging out at their beach that is totally private. Then we hangout at the lounge bar for amazing sunsets. The staff is all so nice.

We have stayed here many times. We were a bit early in the season this time so the Brisas Beach Club wasn't up and running for the first few days. They served us in the lounge and the buffet and we were happy. The staff is friendly and many have been there for years. We were greeted by several when we arrived. The housekeeping does a good job and are happy to help out with any requests. The gardeners do a fantastic job looking after the huge and beautiful property. We love being able to see the ocean from the lounge and our room. We will return soon.

Booked via Expedia to attend a wedding and 7 day stay. Booking direct we received several conflicting responses on pricing. Expedia was a much better value and check-in at the hotel was a breeze. The hotel is kept nicely for its age. There requires a lot of walking/stairs to get around the hotel, this is not the place to book if mobility is an issue. CONS: 1) The lack of communication regarding all inclusive options for dining other than the buffet 2) The non-working elevator to the beach 3) Bats in the walkway down from the 19th floor 4) The 19th floor is locate above the lobby/bar/reception area and has an open hallway looking over the bar/reception/lobby, expect to hear loud talking, kids screeching and music until 1AM. 5) Insects- sugar ants were visible by day 2 and small roaches by day 6 6) Only location for drinks in the hotel is the lobby bar that opens at 6pm. 7) The wait time for drinks to be served in the restaurants/buffet areas and having to sign after every time is confusing. 8) Waiting for a table to be assigned- there really isnt a point to this as my table was given away PROS: 1) AMAZING VIEW AND PRIVATE BEACH 2) Friendly staff- we got so much help from reception for transportation options (combi stop is at the bottom of the hill at the entrance to the hotel), $ exchange on site, reservations, etc. 3) Noe in excursions gets you the best guides and rates! He was fantastic to work with. 4) Budget and family friendly 5) Breakfast was great every day

Lovely hotel with beautiful view of beach. The beds are super hard and uncomfortable but I was aware of that as I’ve stayed there before. I took a blow up mattress pad which helped immensely. It’s not ideal if you don’t take the all inclusive package as the restaurants are pricey. They have the best beach in all of Mexico as it’s very private - the waves can sometimes get massive and one has to be careful as you can get knocked down very quickly. I’d stay here again as all suites have an anmazing view and the beach is incredible!

Beds are not comfortable. Way too soft and worn out. Sheets are a bit rough. Air conditioning is ok but not enough to cool the room for a good sleep. Service is fantastic. Love the beach. Food is good and the cocktails are wonderful too. Enjoy the more rustic vibe. Wish the sleep was better.

El hotel es grande, para ir a la playa o alberca son muchas escaleras. Tiene su playa privada y tranquila. El primer cuarto que nos asignaron no servia el aire, si nos cambiaron a otro, pero en el otro se cayo la hamaca cuando la estaba usando cayendo de piso, se reporto pero no fue reparada durante la estancia.

We have been staying at Las Brisas since 2005 and always cannot wait to come back! Every room has a beautiful ocean view. We love hanging out at their beach that is totally private. Then we hangout at the lounge bar for amazing sunsets. The staff is all so nice.

Check out muy tardado, llame a recepción 1 hora antes de salir para que prepararan mi cuenta, llegué y no la tenían, había 4 empleados y solo 1 atendiendo, estaba revisando mi cuenta y llegaron dos huéspedes con diferente reservación y los atendió sin terminar conmigo. 25 minutos para terminar de cerrar mi cuenta, los demás empleados solo veían el procedimiento, no sé si era personal nuevo o practicantes, pero muy decepcionado de este servicio

Booked via Expedia to attend a wedding and 7 day stay. Booking direct we received several conflicting responses on pricing. Expedia was a much better value and check-in at the hotel was a breeze. The hotel is kept nicely for its age. There requires a lot of walking/stairs to get around the hotel, this is not the place to book if mobility is an issue. CONS: 1) The lack of communication regarding all inclusive options for dining other than the buffet 2) The non-working elevator to the beach 3) Bats in the walkway down from the 19th floor 4) The 19th floor is locate above the lobby/bar/reception area and has an open hallway looking over the bar/reception/lobby, expect to hear loud talking, kids screeching and music until 1AM. 5) Insects- sugar ants were visible by day 2 and small roaches by day 6 6) Only location for drinks in the hotel is the lobby bar that opens at 6pm. 7) The wait time for drinks to be served in the restaurants/buffet areas and having to sign after every time is confusing. 8) Waiting for a table to be assigned- there really isnt a point to this as my table was given away PROS: 1) AMAZING VIEW AND PRIVATE BEACH 2) Friendly staff- we got so much help from reception for transportation options (combi stop is at the bottom of the hill at the entrance to the hotel), $ exchange on site, reservations, etc. 3) Noe in excursions gets you the best guides and rates! En el momento del check in no nos quisieron dar una categoría superior de la habitación a pesar de que si contaban con la disponibilidad porq la ofrecieron con un costo extra, pero al comentarles del beneficio que teníamos por parte de ustedes en ese momento dijeron que no contaban con disponibilidad y tampoco nos hicieron válido los descuentos que teníamos

We have stayed here many times. We were a bit early in the season this time so the Brisas Beach Club wasn't up and running for the first few days. They served us in the lounge and the buffet and we were happy. The staff is friendly and many have been there for years. We were greeted by several when we arrived. The housekeeping does a good job and are happy to help out with any requests. The gardeners do a fantastic job looking after the huge and beautiful property. We love being able to see the ocean from the lounge and our room. We will return soon.

Our stay at the Las Brisas Resort was exactly the relaxing vacation we needed. The building is beautiful and the property well-kept. Staff were friendly, professional and always willing to help. It is located uphill from Ixtapa proper, but if you’re ok with about a 20 minute walk, you can easily walk from Las Brisas down to “the letters” in the mercado/tourist section of town. An inexpensive cab ride back allows you to bypass the uphill return walk. Room was comfortable and well-appointed. Food options were good and plentiful. Especially enjoyed the fine dining experience at Portofino. All of the amenities were wonderful, but what truly makes Las Brisas special is the people. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, helpful and ready to do whatever they could to make our stay amazing. From the front-desk staff who answered our many questions, to our lovely housekeeper Juanita who made sure we had everything we needed every day, to our mealtime meseros (Javier, Angel, Demetrio, Jesus, Jorge) who kept our glasses full, gave recommendations on local activities and places to visit, helped us with our Spanish and just generally made us feel welcome and cared for - it is the people who make Las Brisas Resort the delightful place that it is.

We like the beach club option of having breakfast and Happy Hour in a small restaurant with buffet style food service. The rooms are a good size and every one has a large balcony with a hammock and a small seating area with a couch. The property is beautifully cared for. The special Brisas II restaurant is pricey but worth it for a special dinner. The hotel is set at one end of Ixtapa and is easily walkable into the commercial area where there is a good choice of shopping and restaurants. It is good value. We have stayed here 4 times and will return.

Buena opción en Ixtapa, tiene bonita playa privada aunque un poco fuerte el oleaje. Limpieza de cuartos y toallas. Amplios desayunos y comidas en bufete a precio razonables. Llegar a restaurantes y albercas implica una buena caminata desde los cuartos. What I would want to know about Las Brisas- The location is amazing, halfway between Zihuantanejo and Ixtapa (it is less than 200 pesos to get a taxi to either location (playa Linda in Ixtapa or Playa Principal in Zihua; or a collectivo is available to either for less than 20 pesos). Las Brisas has its own beach that is stunning, arguably the best beach in the entire region, but with no crowds, no vendors, and an excess of palapas and beach loungers always available. We were there after a storm and the waves were strong and fun (shore break- not for weak swimmers). As the swell calmed down there was a section on the south end of the cove where a strong swimmer could find good snorkeling. Walking around the property felt like being in a jungle, we saw the Chachalaca bird everyday as well as numerous other species. The hotel was fairly packed while we were there at the end of June, mostly tourist from CDMX, very few gringos. Views from the rooms are stunning, the architecture feels like staying in a fonatur designed pyramid. Las Brisas is a Mexican owned company, always a plus to support the local/ national economy when on vacation. After visiting the other beach areas in Zihuantanejo and Ixtapa I would definitely choose to stay at Las Brisas again.

Beautiful ocean views, lovely sand beaches and even whale watching. Bring binoculars for a better look. At the whales. We enjoyed the restaurants both at the hotel and in town. Nice 20 minutes walk to downtown.

Positive-the beach is beautiful and never crowded since it’s a private beach for the hotel. You can order food and drinks from under your umbrella on the sand. Tip your server at the beginning for the best service. Negative-the food is atrocious. We got the all inclusive plan. Breakfast was the best meal only because they have an omelette bar where the cook is quick, nice, and talented. Lunch was the worst unless you go down to eat by the beach and pay for your food. Dinner was hit and miss, mostly miss. The fancy Italian restaurant Portofino was the worst. The lasagna was inedible and the service was terrible. The Mexican restaurant was a little bit better, but you can only visit each of those once. At the daily dinner buffet one night we had to fill up on bread because everything else was terrible, and that was the only option. We did hit the Starbucks that night. It rained and our room leaked. They did move us to another room, but without an apology for the inconvenience and and on their timetable. The second room had broken AC and Ixtapa is HOT! There is no nightlife. There is a lobby bar, which would be perfect with karaoke, live music, and dancing. But there is no option for any of that anywhere on the resort. We will not be returning to this resort.

We stayed at Las Brisas Ixtapa and really enjoyed the beautiful beach and the spacious, comfortable rooms. The setting itself is wonderful. That said, the area that really needs improvement is the food and the evening entertainment. The buffet offered very similar dishes each day—just slight variations of the same things. Some variety and creativity would make a huge difference. Adding some live music or entertainment at the bar at night would also enhance the experience. We tried the private dining at Portofino and were very disappointed. The server, an older gentleman, was rude and rushed us through the meal, which really put a damper on the evening. The Mexicano restaurant was a bit better, it was our 1st Wedding Anniversary —our server Alberto did a great job, and we enjoyed the salad and Agua Chile. However, the vegetarian tostada was not good, the Chile Relleno was missing cheese, and the corn cake tasted identical to the apple cake at Portofino. The churros were cold, hard, and tasted of old oil. Overall, the food is the weakest part of the resort. Even if the all-inclusive price increased slightly, improving the quality and variety of the meals would really elevate the guest experience.

The beach was amazing 10/10. The food at this resort is not great. However the service was great especially Angel who works the buffet. The good dishes at the "inclusive" restaurants came with extra charges. Would recommend this hotel but to skip the all-inclusive food package and just eat in Ixtapa.

Tiene mucho que ofrecer, tiene una playa privada, inigualable, el problema es que los servicios de alimentos en la tarde son de bajo nivel, de hecho el All Inclusive está limitado a sólo buffets entre el desayuno y la cena, siendo los mismos de Baja calidad, comidas a la carta, sólo por la noche, previa reservación y muy limitados los platillos y otro punto considerar es el tipo de gente que visita el hotel

I was overall disappointed. I’m pescatarian, vegetarian that eats seafood and I’ve never had an issue in Mexico. I’ve stayed in many different areas of Mexico and many all inclusives usually so much seafood and vegetables/salads. At las Brisa’s, I paid for the all inclusive, the restaurant had items, mostly seafood, that weren’t included with the all inclusive, so extremely limiting for me, I’ve never seen this before. I found the rooms could use an update, it’s listed as 4.5 stars so I was a bit disappointed with the musky/dusty smell, I turned the fan on and caused a dust storm haha! I know musky is a bit normal for mexico but 4.5 stars? And yes I know their system is a bit different but I have stayed at quite a few 4.5 star places, this shouldn’t be. Disappointed also with there being parties till 3am, very loud and I was woken multiple times and the resort allowed it. The pools were nice but for anyone with mobility issues, it was almost a 10 min walk to them. The staff overall made up quite a bit for it all though! Very helpful, kind and generous! Loved the area but I wouldn’t go back to this resort.

La atención es muy buena y en general el hotel es lindo y tiene muchas cosas para asegurar una estadía agradable como spa, gimnasio, albercas y su propio acceso a playa. Sin embargo, un fallo muy grande son las comidas, el buffet de desayuno es excelente, pero el buffet de comida es horrendo, si no compraste la experiencia all inclusive es mejor comer fuera, comeras al mismo precio, pero sera mejor comida y con mas variedad que la que ofrecen al interior del hotel. Para personas con movilidad reducida es dificil desplazarse dentro del hotel porque tiene muchas escaleras. Esta muy retirado del centro y de la zona de playas como Las Gatas o La Ropa que son las principales atracciones, preparate para rentar carro o pagar mucho en taxis.

The hotel is amazing; the architecture and design really take you to a whole different dimension. The staff is very welcoming and helpful; I'd like to say special thanks to the room service staff; they are very, very attentive, kind, and resourceful. The private beach is excellent, the views are impeccable, the pool area is very relaxing, and overall the facilities are great. We felt it could be a little bit crowded, and some behaviors/actions of some guests we felt weren't really in line with the line and standars you'd expect in this hotel. Nonetheless, we had a great trip and would be looking to come back perhaps at a different time of the year with different crowds.

The beach is private so you don’t have people coming up trying to sell you trinkets, jewelry, etc. it is also stunning, the view is gorgeous. We went late February early March both years and got to see whales and sting rays jumping in the bay. I think the pool is a bit far from the beach and there is only one pool that’s adults only. The family pool is the infinity pool looking over the ocean. I feel the family pool should be the lower pool. Staff is wonderful and the whole place is beautiful and authentic.

Excelent Hotel Staff great service and quick. Picked up the phone called receptionist for questions or onsite service the staff was quick and amiable. Would recommend anybody to visit this hotel with a quick access to the beach via elevator. The food and drinks on the beach coverage area are also awesome. WiFi was awesome fast and they use |Fiber so my trading 💹 went well and managed to make some profits due to the internet speed
