The hotel and rooms are in good condition and quite clean. The patio doors on the ground floor opening to the parking lot are handy for pets. The staff are friendly and breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again.

If you have any kind of a trailer do not enter the parking lot, it snakes around, does not go around hotel. Once you entered you have to back out, it is not a straight back out. Only complaint. Multiple charging stations in room. Nice

Over all the property was fine. Parking is limited if you have a trailer and the staff counldnt quite tell us where to go. Not bad for a night but it is super pricey

Upon arrival I was told they have a policy against parking with a small cargo trailer in the parking lot. The front desk attendant was not only rude but unsympathetic and not helpful. I had just completed a 12 hour drive with my wife and daughter. I had to park a significant distance away and we were on the second floor of a hotel with no elevator and had to lug our bags up the stairs.

Very surprised that this hotel would send a request for my review. But since they did I will give my honest review for the short time (less than 2 hours) we were there. No elevator only stairs to the second floor. Walking to our room the hotel smelled very musty. Upon opening the door to our room it smelled musty and cold (15C). We turned the heat to 21C and left for dinner. Upon returning we opened the door to a strong smell of burning plastic. Going down to the desk clerk, she said this was surprising but she would moved us to another room. Again entering this room it also smelled musty and cold. The desk clerk struggled to get the heater to start but after about 1 minute this heating unit also started to emit a burning plastic smell. She then becomes frustrated and starts saying I can’t keep moving you to different rooms. You can either stay in this room or leave. Obviously we chose to leave; with no other options in Kenora we had to drive another hour and half to Dryden. Wow what a difference in the hotel quality and staff. Definitely drive the extra distance and avoid this (Dis)Comfort Inn!!! We give them 1 star as they agreed to refund our stay after we explained to Expedia the mentioned issues above.

We changed rooms because the first room was not clean, and the second room was not very clean either, and had previous patron’s takeout left on the top of the cabinet. The sliding doors were very dirty and there was garbage in front of our room sliding doors.

Nice renovation on property but the light switch covers were still the old ones and were covered in filth. They were disgusting and sticky to touch. Two of the pillows on the bed had dirty pillow cases, with hair and dirt on them. The shower nozzle had a large hole in it so when showering water sprayed all over the ceiling in the bathroom. Although the air conditioner was running loudly on the coldest setting and air was coming out of it, it wasn’t cold at all. I reported all of these to the desk when checking out without receiving even so much as an apology.

After traveling 21 hrs we checked in with a less than professional looking, nor friendly staff member. When we got to our room we found it so so for cleanliness. Dirt on the comforter, hair in the bath tub and a blood stain on the bathroom wall. We were too exhausted to ask to change rooms so cleaned ourselves. The lady serving breakfast did nothing but complain. At check out, again non professional looking staff....the lady was wearing a baseball cap. We paid for an upgraded room which I really doubt it was

The "PTAC" unit or to use layman's terms the heating and cooling unit does not work. There is no heat in this room. It's -13C and freezing rain snowing. The heating unit was unplugged so I plugged it in. The blower or what most people call the fan is seized. The disappointing part isn't that it's seized but that it was unplugged so the hotel knew it was seized. upon further inspection I can see that this unit has not been serviced or cleaned in years. I brought sweaters and warm clothes. Room was over $200 after taxes. Too bad really.

The only thing I didn't like was the in room heating and cooling system is extremely loud. This is an issue in msny smaller motel/hotel locations and unfortunately one I have to live with in my travels so not unique.

Air conditioner was similar to having a tractor running in your room- so noisy we had to shut it off. Then we could listen to the outside back door slam rest of night as people left to smoke in the back. And they get in a group and talk loudly right by the patio door we had. And then the temperature in room rose to unbearable and we had to turn noisy air conditioner back on. This room cost us the most of our three week vacation and was the worst overall. I would not recommend anybody stay there.

A clean and comfortable place to stay. However, it was really annoying that the wifi was so spotty. We were next to the main desk on the first floor and the wifi constantly dropped. Also, when getting breakfast together I suggest don’t have full on conversations in front of guest rooms because at 5:45 am people are sleeping….. or trying to.

The front desk clerk upon chevk in was very courteous and welcoming. However, upon checkout, the Hotel Manager was absurdly rude & demeaning. His pompous attitude towards his patrons reflected an unpleasant & disrespectful tone. I will never stay at this hotel again due to his unprofessionalism. This manager also attempted to not provide me with a full refund of deposit. It was only when I explained that he should call in his front desk clerk as verification of my deposit, did he finally provide me with a refund.

I didn’t even get my 2 rooms I booked online. Front desk said she had computer problems. Then told me to book online. After I booked online, she still wouldn’t check me in. I left the property and went to check into a different hotel down the street from comfort inn. I won’t ever book there again if I have a choice. My car broke down near kenora yesterday.

Pleasantly surprised! Love the wallpaper in the bathroom, very elegant design. The bed is super comfy, love the little patio door entry and the fact that you can back up your vehicle to the patio door. There is a fridge and a couch in my room, which my GSD loves to lay on. Very close to anything you may need or if you want to sightsee. We were out walking and ran across a family of deer and then another encounter with another single deer!

A decent place to stay with friendly staff. The price was high due to limited availability, but I encountered this in other small cities. The location is proximate to the Trans Canada Highway, but a short taxi ride (no UBER) from Downtown.

Easy parking. Sliding doors by the parking made for easy unloading and packing the car in the morning. Breakfast good and included egg rounds, sausage and potatoes. Was great for our one night pitstop. Close to stores and fast food plsces. Front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay over again.

Sadly Kenora is going through a downturn. Many of the restaurants are boarded up along the waterfront. There was a sign on the door warning about a bear being in the area. The hotel grounds has 2 shopping carts behind the building. It’s very sad to see.

My spouse and I were disappointed in the continental breakfast. The individual that was running the area was overwhelmed and could not keep up with providing food for the guests. We were waiting for hot food and as soon as she put it out it was gone in a very short time. The individual tried her best but she really needed more assistance. Considering this was a long weekend, the facility should have been better staffed. One of the reasons for choosing this hotel was the convenience of the continental breakfast in the morning. The Breakfast/dining room also was too small for the size of the hotel and the amount of guests that check in. Many of the guests that did come to the Breakfast/dining room returned back to their rooms due to no sitting availability.

Everything was good except for our check in. The young lady at the desk didn’t know at all what she was doing and everyone had to repeat their information three times. Took a long time to get our keys, plus when we went to get breakfast, it was good but the breakfast area was so small that there wasn’t room for us

Paying $250 a night for a hotel is toughthese days, so really expected a great experience. Stayed for 3 nights as we were in town for an event. Room was never serviced, we had to get fresh towels, garbages were never emptied. We went down for breakfast the first day about 40 minutes before breakfast ended and were suprised that they would not refill things in the warm foods area at that time, it would take too long to do we were told. We went down an hour before the next day only to hear the same excuse, and a constant complaint from the worker that things were constantly needing to be filled as it was extremely busy. On the third day it was a bit better, but not as busy. The variety did not change from day to day. Protein was always sausage, never any bacon. Potatoes were always empty or next to empty. The juice machine was not working at all but juice boxes were supplied instead which was a complaint i heard that it needed to be replaced all the time as they would run out of juice constantly. Being this is how we got to start our day it really
