We had such a lovely time at this cabin. It’s very clean and has everything you need to feel right at home. The check in was very easy and the communication was quick and helpful. The property has some fun games like cornhole and frisbee. We had fires every night. The trails behind the property are fun to explore and see all the quirky treasures left along the way. We definitely want to visit again! It was a quick drive to the state parks. Highly recommend :)

We had an excellent family retreat. Staying in the cabin is a lovely cozy warm experience. Very clean and well maintained. The cabin and property have their unique personality which makes the stay interesting. Quite a find! We got a cabin in the woods experience with all modern comforts. There are trails on the property and a fire pit and logs and necessary equipment for fire including outdoor furniture. There is wifi, tv, dvds, music. There is a NY state park pass which was very handy for the excellent Letchworth park nearby.

Nestled in a little clearing, surrounded by woods, this is a lovely spot to kick back and relax. The location is also perfect for exploring all that the area has to offer… Letchworth and Stony Brook State Parks are both close by, and are definitely worth visiting. And the Empire Pass provided by your hosts means you can visit both at no charge. Back at the cabin, you’ll enjoy the comfortable woodsy decor, and the fact that everything is so very, very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bed in the main floor bedroom is comfortable (we didn’t use the loft) and the hosts have provided a lot of little notes and hints to make your stay easier and more enjoyable. And don’t let the short stretch of dirt road scare you off… it’s wide, very well maintained, and lightly travelled… can’t imagine it being an issue for any vehicle.

The Cabin in the Woods is a wonderful place to spend some quality "down" time in the beautiful area around Letchworth State Park. The cabin is everything someone could want. . great location, roomy, tastefully decorated, stocked with appliances, cooking utensils, dishware, and just about anything you might need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. It is totally inviting. The only thing we regret is that we did not have the time to completely enjoy all it offered since we were there to attend the wedding of our daughter who was getting married at the Lower Falls in Letchworth. But the time we did spend there was simply marvelous. Peg and Bob have gone out of their way to insure their guests are will informed about what the area provides in terms of attractions, restaurants, walking trails, and so on. There is a concise and complete folder of information about the area that provides many ideas of things to do in the area and provided is an Empire Pass that provides access to Letchworth State Park. The cabin invites you to relax and enjoy the atmosphere created from the minute you enter. I would definitely look forward to a chilly fall or a winter's day with a fire in the magnificent enameled Franklin stove giving off warmth and atmosphere. The large Master bedroom is comfortable and provides plenty of room. We can't recommend it strongly enough as a layover on your trip to the area. A perfect location and perfect hosts.

Peggy goes above and beyond to ensure guests are welcome and have everything they need to enjoy their stay. She also has a binder with local site seeing and eating recommendations. She has useful labels and tips posted around the cabin making it easy to find what you need. She has DVDs and binoculars that were great for viewing the night sky. The firepit was beautiful with provided split wood and comfortable adirondack chairs where we enjoyed smores and wine.

This was a great home base for our hiking adventures in Letchworth. Stocked with games, offers wood for nightly campfires, clean place to rest our bodies at night. We saw a fox run by at dusk as we were sitting by the fire. Hosts provided fantastic communication.

We stayed at the cabin and hunted the nearby public land. The cabin is in the country but a short drive to Nunda for groceries, gas etc. and in a great location for accessing various state forests/parks. The cabin itself is very nice, modern and well stocked with everything we needed including fun games and a fire pit. The dirt roads near the cabin are very quiet and nice for walks or runs. Peggy was great to communicate with, I would definitely stay here again!

Peggy and Bob are on thier game. They had a binder filled with everything you'd need to know. The cabin was cute and cozy. There were awesome trails around the property and the fire pit was clean and inviting. We'd stay there again again in a heartbeat!

If you are in the area or need an excuse to just get away and looking for an area, look no further than this gem. Peg and Bob were amazing hosts with excellent, friendly communication. The cabin was clean, beautiful, and I\'d say they thought of everything but that\'s not quite true...they thought of more than everything.... things I didn\'t even know I needed. Small flashlights hanging near the doors so you can safely make your way to the stocked firepit (complete with chairs, smores sticks, pie irons, etc.) or maybe take a hike on an actual trail around the property, bikes, indoor and outdoor games, comfy beds, A/C, grill, helpful notes around the cabin, and MUCH more. There were so many decorative and functional features of the property I could go on but in short, you will not be disappointed. Did I mention it\'s very close to the treasure that is Lechtworth State Park? Thank you Peg and Bob for being gracious hosts and for putting together such an amazing "resort" in the woods. I will be back!

this is my 4th year staying at the cabin and each time it was the best stay that i could imagine. i love everything the cabin has to offer from the cozy inside to the nature trail and finishing off with a campfire with smores. i definetly will be coming back

This cabin is absolutely perfect! It is very clean and cozy, and is in a perfect location. We enjoyed the secluded location yet it is close enough to everywhere we had planned to go. The owner does an excellent job of communicating important information...better than any others that I have experienced. We really hope to return to the area in the future and will definitely be staying here again!

My friend and I stayed at the cabin so that we could hike at Letchworth. The cabin was absolutely spotless and I was overwhelmed by the information that Peg left. She had a binder full of local attractions and restaurants and other information about the area. I would absolutely stay again and also recommend it to anyone looking to visit the area.

From the moment we pulled in we fell in love with this rustic, but cozy cabin. It had everything we needed and many extras we didn't expect. The cabin itself is beautiful. Nightly campfires in the wooded solitude, were peaceful and relaxing... we had to cook some weiners and marshmallows on the metal cooking sticks provided. We had hummingbirds on the front porch, a chipmonk in the front yard, an owl in the woods, and Lord knows what else prowling around. We played dice for hours on the front porch, made several trips thru the woods on the marked trails, discovering all the different trinkets eft by previous guests and finding a home for our own. (The owners request each guest bring a trinket to leave behind.) My husband and I had a fantastic time in this immaculate slice of heaven.

The decor is amazing and their huge binder with things to do in the area was so organized and well thought out. My significant other and I came here for a weekend away, just the two of us, and we weren't disappointed. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We felt at home while hiking on the property and also did a good deal of hiking at local Letchworth. We had a few cozy campfires, a picnic in the afternoon sunshine, and just enjoyed our time together here. We would come back.

Peg was super attentive - every question we had was answered promptly. The cabin had everything you would need for a visit, from kitchen supplies to outdoor fun/R&R. We were a bit surprised by the size of the cabin, in the online photos is seemed larger than it is. But for the four of us it worked just fine. We would definitely recommend this cozy cabin to our friends.

We wanted to celebrate our 55th anniversary in a cabin near Letcchworth Park, NY. I jumped on this cabin as soon as I saw it and I was NOT disappointed. Everything was perfect, the cabin was cozy with perfect craftsmanship and such lovely decorations. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to get away! Our host, Peg was so kind and helpful! This is the place to stay!
We wanted to celebrate our 55th anniversary in a cabin near Letcchworth Park, NY. I jumped on this cabin as soon as I saw it and I was NOT disappointed. Everything was perfect, the cabin was cozy with perfect craftsmanship and such lovely decorations. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to get away! Our host, Peg was so kind and helpful! This is the place to stay!

This cabin is absolutely perfect! It is very clean and cozy, and is in a perfect location. We enjoyed the secluded location yet it is close enough to everywhere we had planned to go. The owner does an excellent job of communicating important information...better than any others that I have experienced. We really hope to return to the area in the future and will definitely be staying here again!

Very high end well maintained inviting cabin and grounds. Beautiful knotty wood floors and log walls. Peggy goes above and beyond to ensure guests are welcome and have everything they need to enjoy their stay. She also has a binder with local site seeing and eating recommendations. She has useful labels and tips posted around the cabin making it easy to find what you need. She has DVDs and binoculars that were great for viewing the night sky. The firepit was beautiful with provided split wood and comfortable adirondack chairs where we enjoyed smores and wine.

We stayed at the cabin and hunted the nearby public land. The cabin is in the country but a short drive to Nunda for groceries, gas etc. and in a great location for accessing various state forests/parks. The cabin itself is very nice, modern and well stocked with everything we needed including fun games and a fire pit. The dirt roads near the cabin are very quiet and nice for walks or runs. Peggy was great to communicate with, I would definitely stay here again!

We had such a great stay here, all the amenities needed were there and the trails in the woods are a nice addition. We visited several state parks while there, all within a couple hour drive. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Amazing cottage in the woods - everything inside is so conveniently laid out, and it’s a very well maintained property, with lots of beautiful trails and nature around. Extremely smooth, easy and helpful communication with Peg - will definitely be aiming to return!

If you are in the area or need an excuse to just get away and looking for an area, look no further than this gem. Peg and Bob were amazing hosts with excellent, friendly communication. The cabin was clean, beautiful, and I\'d say they thought of everything but that\'s not quite true...they thought of more than everything.... things I didn\'t even know I needed. Small flashlights hanging near the doors so you can safely make your way to the stocked firepit (complete with chairs, smores sticks, pie irons, etc.) or maybe take a hike on an actual trail around the property, bikes, indoor and outdoor games, comfy beds, A/C, grill, helpful notes around the cabin, and MUCH more. There were so many decorative and functional features of the property I could go on but in short, you will not be disappointed. Did I mention it\'s very close to the treasure that is Lechtworth State Park? Thank you Peg and Bob for being gracious hosts and for putting together such an amazing "resort" in the woods. I will be back!

Nestled in a little clearing, surrounded by woods, this is a lovely spot to kick back and relax. The location is also perfect for exploring all that the area has to offer… Letchworth and Stony Brook State Parks are both close by, and are definitely worth visiting. And the Empire Pass provided by your hosts means you can visit both at no charge. Back at the cabin, you’ll enjoy the comfortable woodsy decor, and the fact that everything is so very, very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bed in the main floor bedroom is comfortable (we didn’t use the loft) and the hosts have provided a lot of little notes and hints to make your stay easier and more enjoyable. And don’t let the short stretch of dirt road scare you off… it’s wide, very well maintained, and lightly travelled… can’t imagine it being an issue for any vehicle.

Cozy Cabin is the perfect place to get away from "the city", very quiet, surrounded by nature. Great jump off point for State parks in the area. Love the Empire State park pass included with our stay. The cabin is very well equipped and communications with Peg were prompt. 5 Stars!

Was great to come back! My daughter reminded me this was where I taught her to do a cartwheel. This was our third time staying here. The kids love the trails. We have to visit "the alien" each time we come. We love the setup of the fire pit. Hosts are very easy to comminicate with. Away from the city and close to Letchworth and Stony Brook.

This property was central to many different state parks, and other wonderful outdoor places. But the most enjoyable part of our stay was sitting on the porch, watching the hummingbirds fly in and out This was a very peaceful location.

We loved everything about this property from the cozy cabin to the outdoor spaces. It was the perfect location for our planned hikes in near by Parks. We not only enjoyed our hikes but really loved being back at the cabin in the evening to grill our dinners and sit by the fire. It's tucked away just enough to enjoyed the sunrise and sunset every day in relaxing solitude. We would have enjoy just spending time at the cabin if it wasn't for all the surrounding beauty to be explored so nearby.

Awesome property! My wife and I spent the Fourth of July weekend at this tremendous cabin. We were able to hit 3 state parks - Letchworth, Stony Brook, AND Watkins Glen. Definitely would stay here again.

The Cabin in the Woods is a wonderful place to spend some quality "down" time in the beautiful area around Letchworth State Park. The cabin is everything someone could want. . great location, roomy, tastefully decorated, stocked with appliances, cooking utensils, dishware, and just about anything you might need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. It is totally inviting. The only thing we regret is that we did not have the time to completely enjoy all it offered since we were there to attend the wedding of our daughter who was getting married at the Lower Falls in Letchworth. But the time we did spend there was simply marvelous. Peg and Bob have gone out of their way to insure their guests are will informed about what the area provides in terms of attractions, restaurants, walking trails, and so on. There is a concise and complete folder of information about the area that provides many ideas of things to do in the area and provided is an Empire Pass that provides access to Letchworth State Park. The cabin invites you to relax and enjoy the atmosphere created from the minute you enter. I would definitely look forward to a chilly fall or a winter's day with a fire in the magnificent enameled Franklin stove giving off warmth and atmosphere. The large Master bedroom is comfortable and provides plenty of room. We can't recommend it strongly enough as a layover on your trip to the area. A perfect location and perfect hosts.

I spent a weekend with my 2 boys, ages 7 and 11. We loved the location, and especially all the little details of the cabin and grounds. It is close to Letchworth, where we enjoyed hiking for a day. We also loved the trails around the cabin and the scavenger hunt!

This cabin was everything we could ask for! Was in a beautiful remote area to allow you to get off grid but featured top tier amenities such as heat, running water, and more! The bed was very comfortable and the cabin came equipped with anything you could need! My partner enjoyed shooting his bow on the property and hunting. The fire pit is an ideal spot to hang at night with a blazing fire and some drinks. Peggy was an absolute gem to chat with! She truly cares about your experience/stay and accommodates you phenomenally. We visited letchworth and a few breweries (battle street and No BS). We also loved Maddie J’s and the barn for breakfast! We look forward to visiting again in the warmer months.

My friend and I stayed at the cabin so that we could hike at Letchworth. The cabin was absolutely spotless and I was overwhelmed by the information that Peg left. She had a binder full of local attractions and restaurants and other information about the area. I would absolutely stay again and also recommend it to anyone looking to visit the area.
