The Inn at 1252 Monterey

Our stay at the Inn was very nice and quiet. Love the parking lot right next to our room. Rooms were very clean and roomy to walk around in. Check- in Workers very very nice and friendly. The gym on site could use air conditioners!!!

Very clean. Beautiful flowers all around the property. There are places to sit outside. The gym was surprisingly large for a hotel. There is an added $10 fee to park so remember to consider that when comparing prices

Pretty OK. Had to pay extra for parking, and parking places are very narrow. I had to park pretty far from my room.

There was a $10 hidden parking fee per night. The toilet made strange noises off and on day and night - had to reflush to stop noise - but no telling when it would come back. The hidden fee colored the rest of the stay at this hotel. I do not recommend staying at this place unless the hidden fee is solved.

Very nice and quaint property, no free weights in the gym, however. Also, it’s only open til 10pm

Everyone was so helpful and accommodating throughout my whole stay. I even used their barbq a couple times!

It was clean and quiet, perfect for a short stay. What I didn’t like was having to pay $10 for parking in a motel parking lot.

My favorite part about this place was all the beautiful varieties of gorgeous flowers everywhere. The staff was great. The rooms were very clean and the pool was heated. Perfect location, right across the street from the shopping mall with lots of restaurants.

Clean property, very easy check-in and check-out. Mattress and pillows were super comfortable! Room was nice and spotless. We highly recommend and look forward to going back.

I was pleasantly surprised by the entire stay, the inns in Monterey tend to be older and this was so cute and clean. We used the pool and had a great 1 night stay

The property is clean and beautiful from the outside but the room was not properly clean, their was some left over food next to the bed from the previous guest that was not removed we sow a medication pill on the floor in the room. the fact that they the caffe station settled inside the bathroom is discusting.

Our bed sheets had some blood stains on them.

Checked in, dirty wet towel in bathroom, switched rooms urine on bathroom floor. Floors obviously not swept or mopped. Hair all over linens. Soiled pillow covers. Wanted to leave but front desk agent couldn’t help and manager was gone. Hair everywhere

Property was clean and charming. Our stay was comfortable. Area was quiet and close to nearby activities. Would recommend staying here for a quick stop or weekend visit.

The cleaning chemicals they use are so strong. I couldn't sleep due to the smell of bleach and other chemicals.

Everything was seamless and streamline. The room was clean, check in took less than 2 mins, the room was clean, the air conditioning unit worked, and there were parking spaces available.

The hotel wasn’t the best but also not the worst. In the Monterey area this is my least favorite hotel that I have stayed at. Inside the room our bed had blood on the blankets and then blood on the towels that were “clean.” I’m not one to complain but blood is a hazard. The staff did bring us fresh blankets, sheets, and towels.

The bed was supposed to be King...but it was a queen. The room was ok but nothing great. Bed was not very comfortable.

Room was ok but a little small. You can hear through the walls fairly easily so if someone has the tv on at a decent volume, you can hear it.

The hotel was clean and nice, however, I do have a few sticking points that will keep me from rating it higher. The wifi barely reached my room, and wouldn't allow any of my devices to stay attached to it for more than a few seconds. This wouldn't be super bothersome, except there was very poor phone signal (AT&T) on the property too. Additionally, the blackout shade doesn't cover the entirety of the window, which meant that anyone on the outside could have seen in my room which was unnerving, especially at night. Additionally, the shower in my room wouldn't shut off, and just kept slowly running all night.

They charge $10 for parking. The parking spots are really tight. The king bed room is small, like the size of a house extra bedroom. The bathroom is big but the shower is kinda award to get into. The area us really quiet at night, no complaints about noise. My two problems are the bathroom room door is a sliding door that has gaps so you can hear everything inside. Second that dang door again is a foggy clear door so you can see the silhouette of the lerson on the toilet. Also because of the clear door the sun shines right through it into the room, making it really bright in the morning. Second the tv, after 11 they play adult movies, I was flipping through channels with my daughter next to me, luckily I changed it in time but she heard. So monitor the tv at night. Nice location, there is a shopping center across the street with a whole foods, movies and restaurants, the beach is a straight shot down the road.

The room was very small. They had a full-size bed and not a queen size. The furniture inside the room was very old for the price that I paid for that. It was too much. I stayed in a nicer hotel on my trip and paid far less.

The room was good but the tv reception was terrible and the heat was iffy.

This hotel was a nice and affordable option. Pros: -Affordable -Excellent location. You are so close to everything (aquarium, downtown, 17 mile drive, etc) -The hotel room is clean and has a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker -Check in and check out were very smooth -Easy access/ short distance between car and room Cons: -There is not a curtain on the bathroom window and the door to the bathroom is opaque. This means that very bright light is shining into your room in the morning. We ended up putting bags on the window sill to try and block some light. (Maybe consider bringing a sleep mask) -Parking lot is very small. On our first night, there wasn't a parking spot available for us so we ended up using a spot that was at the exit of the property and our car was on full view of the street. It was technically a spot (lines were painted on the ground) but we were essentially parallel parked on the road where vehicles exited the hotel. The reason why I mention this is I was worried about side swipers/ easy accessibility to car break in. The rest of the nights we did not have trouble with parking. -Not a con but worth mentioning, the rooms were very small. We were out all day so we didn't "hang out" in the room anyways but we really couldn't since there was not room. I wouldn't mind returning to this hotel but the biggest thing that would not have me return is the fact the room got so sunny in the morning when I was trying to sleep.

Affordable, clean and straightforward hotel. You could hear almost everything through the walls though and there was no luggage storage at the front desk

The Inn at 1252 was okay - not great. The room was extremely small (we had a King Bed room). Walls and windows are not insulated and there is a lot of loud noise ie: people taking showers, moving around, taking luggage in and out and doors closing loudly from other rooms was very annoying and disturbed our sleep as people were leaving in the early morning hours - not muffled at all. The TV channels were minimal.

It was nice. The only thing was that I had to check out at 3:30 am and there was no one there. No one answered the phone of opened the night window. That was the only problem! Hopefully they checked me out, no one called me back to follow up after I left a VM.

I've stayed here several times before while working in the area - This time I'm slapped with a parking fee out of nowhere. The person at the desk made a point to say 20 times, "BECAUSE YOU USED A #rd PARTY TO RESERVE YOUR ROOM". They advertised with Expedia, but when you use it, you get punished! The next day, we left continuing north, to SF. I stopped to put gas and eat, at which point I noticed I had left my jacket on top of the bed. I purposely took it out of my luggage to have my jacket handy. I called this hotel, and they said no, absolutely no jacket. Total joke - Never again!

The glass door to the bathroom was good quality just not a good idea. No privacy. I had to leave the room when my wife wanted to use the bathroom. Paying for parking is just a tax and they are able to show a lower price on the room. Also WE DID NOT APPRECIATE the text at 802 am to remind us that " Your departure is coming up at...." No sh.. let us sleep in and enjoy our vacation!!!!! We know when we have to leave.

We enjoyed out stay… staff was very helpful and friendly.

Only stayed for 1 night but it was great overall. Rooms are small but renovated. Not a big deal if you are just looking for a place to shower and rest your head at night. Only issue we had was the following morning housekeeping attempted to enter our room around 10am without knocking or announcing themselves first. We were in the room getting dressed and ready to check-out and did not feel this to be acceptable. Other than that, great stay. The woman who checked us in was friendly and helpful.

We were placed below a room with a known sewage issue. Although we were eventually moved, we felt that we never should have been put in that room to begin with. The staff should have been more accommodating given the circumstances & the inconvenience.

Great Location, Near Monterey Pier - 5 Min, Pacific Grove Downtown 5 min, Carmel Downtown 10min.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The walls were thin so we could hear our neighbors very easily. Also, our mattress was not great, but not the worst we’ve ever had. The toilet flush is powerful beyond words. That’s good for preventing clogs, but not for keeping a low profile. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, parking was easy but should probably just be free. The Del Monte mall is directly across the street which has food and shopping, and a farmer’s market on Fridays. The mall also has electric car charging.

Just an overnight stay for a girls trip . Location is in safe area. right next to del monte shopping center. Hotel was clean.

Hotel has beautiful scenery and is walking distance from a big shopping center.

The property was located in the center of things we chose to do. Good dining was a short drive from our location.

Very average motel, room was dark even in sunshine. Bathroom was very basic. Location is not good as a long walk downhill, so uphill back, to downtown Monterey

Clean room, centrally located, walking distance to shopping and restaurants, daily room cleaning, no breakfast and comfortable bed. Expect a $10 daily up charge for parking if you don't book with them directly.

Property is one of many on this section of Munras Ave. Reasonable room rate, but I found a $10 parking fee odd for a motel. I did appreciate the always available coffee.

Overall good. For the price I was expecting something a little more modern, but when looking around, all the hotels in the area have the same look and feel. The convenience of being close to shopping and food (within walking distance) was hard to beat. My wife was happy with the booking and that makes all the difference.

The Motel was nicely located about 5 minutes from downtown Monterey, nearby the Del Monte Shopping Center, which was convenient for restaurants' and purchasing incidentals. Parking at times was somewhat challenging due to larger vehicles crowding into other parking spots. The staff was friendly and supportive with any questions or requests. The area was super quiet and sleeping in was not a problem. Housekeeping was okay. They need to pay a little more attention to detail. All-in-all, we would definitely return again.

Rooms are nice, clean, updated, good lighting. Coffee. Tea, and juice available at front desk. Coffee also in room. Staff is super friendly I decided to stay an extra night and they let me move to an upgraded room so i could check in early. They dont have breakfast anymore but close to shopping, dt Monterey or Carmel.
