This is a very nice hotel. HOWEVER, for the price it is trash. Would absolutely not recommend it. Great location, decent rooms, ok facilities, SUPER overpriced. Staff is reminiscent of a best western. They charge you $48 for valet parking but say it’s $43 when I asked why they told me a different number they explained how taxes work to me. You cannot use a cart to move luggage unless you pay for it. If you ask for alternatives to park they will roughly tell you valet park or you will get towed. Walls are extremely thin and you will hear loud children at all hours. Balconies are comically small, it’s more of an extended windowsill. Would normally say it’s a nice hotel but at the price it’s a joke. Save $600 and stay at any number of the competitors it’ll be as nice. Be aware if you want to use the spa you have to walk through public areas in a robe (they don’t like you to use the lockers those are for ‘spa guests’ not hotel guests) so you get to walk by fancy restaurants and lots of people in your swimwear. The hours of the spa are limited at best and they kinda want you out by 6pm so be careful if you intend to use the facilities during the advertised hours. It is all very charming until you remember it’s $500 a night with $50 parking. If it was $200 a night I’d stay here regularly.

I enjoyed the experience at this hotel--especially the experience at the spa. Did you know you can utilize the hot tubs including the steam room. And there is amazing view while you workout at the hotel gym. Does it get much better than that?

It was fine, but just fine for the very large price. Our room overlooked the street and it was super loud at night and in the morning, all the time, with loud street noises. We were only on the second floor so it was loud and bright and folks could look in. Only hot tubs, no pool, but that area was nice. Gym was too hot and only two treadmills. This was like a 3-star hotel at 5-star prices. Didn't really enjoy.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Here are the pros and cons: -We got the partial ocean view with a balcony. It was fabulous. At certain angles in the room, it looked like an ocean view, depending on where you are standing. -There was a pair of binoculars in the room which was great for watching the otters. -Our son also got a little Monterey area bingo game to play for prizes along with his own little bag of goodies which included his own pair of binoculars and magnifying glass. -We ate at Schooners restaurant and the view was great and we were seated right away. -The hot tubs near the fitness center have such a beautiful view and there is also a nearby firepit -The valet staff was very helpful and professional The things that were not so great were: -There is an area that is open to the public below the room and we were often smelling the smell of smoke from cigarettes and weed. -There was also a black hair still in our bathtub when we checked in which was gross. - We ate at Schooners restaurant but the server was not friendly or helpful and the clam chowder was so bad that none of us finished it. It was also a little bit pricey. -The spa staff kept giving us different ages for the age restriction for using the hot tub near the fitness center. -It cost us almost 100 dollars extra to do valet for 2 nights. We were told that the alternative was to do metered street parking and then it was free at night. So we just did it. But, overall, it was good.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The room was clean with a great view of the bay and had a balcony where you can spot the otters and seals with the provided binoculars. Restaurants had great service and offered room service. Check in, valet and bell service were top notch. Would stay there again when in Monterrey for sure.

The property itself was beautiful. The staircase & wooden molding and accents were gorgeous! The room was just ok. We were in a corner room toward the back end of the hotel. It was noisy & looking out the window was ugly and not really pleasant. Which was a bit of a negative so we kept the drapes drawn. The hotel smelled amazing!

We were placed in an inland facing room. The room was okay, it looked a little old and dated, safe didn’t work, bathtub didn’t drain properly, the balcony door lock was broken. When we notified staff, the response was that they would pass the info to their maintenance team, lol. No apology for the inconvenience, no offer to make our experience better.

We stayed here during the Monterey car show early in the week. Our room had a view of the parking lot. There was a lot of street noise. If I stay here again I would ask for a room away from the road or a higher floor. It was a very lovely room and I loved the bed and bedding. Bathroom was beautiful.

Well the room size and view for full ocean view was not worth the cost. Nearly 2k for 2nights which could be spent on an all inclusive resort. I didn’t realize I wouldn’t have a balcony for this price which was also very disappointing. You can hear people on the beach and in hallways very well. The elevator seemed a little off as the door would open early and late. The rooftop jacuzzis are packed. There’s only two and a lot of people on the weekend. The best thing about this place was valet and their customer service, which is an extra fee.

Fantastic views from our balcony, ocean view room. It’s mesmerizing and so relaxing. The sea lions are quite loud so ask for a room in the building farthest away from the lobby.

Hospitality and view were excellent. The value didn’t align with expectations. Food was too frilly and overpriced. Staying at this hotel for the view is great but no other amenities included and for the price, some items should be included such as a continental breakfast, coffee bar, fruit, etc.

M well it was a great location a nice property. We only spent two days they’re checking out today the third day. And yesterday our room was not made up no fresh towels. It was disappointing.
