Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa

The view from my room was great. The dinner was okay; good but not great. Staff at the restaurant were very friendly and polite. Hotel staff were very professional and polite.

The location and view were spectacular. The food at the hotel restaurant was also excellent.

The adjoining room door was next to the bed. Very poor sound proofing. The next room’s conversations at normal tones sounded like they were in our room. They talked until 2:45AM. The hotel clerk did make note of it the next morning when I reported it. Hopefully they will fix the problem.

Nice place but noisy. Be aware of the rooms close to the lift due to lift motor noise. They could not accommodate a room move.

Expensive but worth it. The Suite and Spa were just we needed to feel like we had a bit of a break. Falling asleep with the sound of the waves and waking up to a beautiful sunrise was something few hotels can offer.
